Even though the RP has started, we're still taking applications. A good character will be considered for a future arc.
Alright, let's try this. This is, for all intents and purposes, the third attempt at this crew. White Legion was the first, Fondue and Friends the second. This time, I'll be the one organizing shit, since the previous two organizers fell off the internet in a tragic Google accident and a flaming troll outbreak, irrespectively. I have however changed the starting city, as I did not feel comfortable with using someone else's brainchild without permission. Some things will be lifted from there, though.
I have learned about some obstacles I want to avoid this time around.
Mainly... not start with a whole lot of characters.
This means that even if I give your character the green light, it does not necessarily mean you will be in from the start. We'll start out small, and increase the crew as we go along.
The story thus far: The location is a city island at the edge of West Blue, called Endport. It's the last stop before the Grand Line (akin to Loguetown in the East). The city is roughly divided into districts - four "circles" and a center. The outernmost circle is the dock circle. This is naturally where all ports are located, as well as the majority of the shipwrights, carpenters, warehouses and so on. A bit intertwined with this is the second circle, generally called the craftman's circle. This is the circle where you will find the most blacksmiths, tailors, gunsmiths and all of that. After that comes the trading circle, where, obviously, most of the island's trade is going on. Stores, restaurants, markets, bars, you name it. Finally comes the residential circle - while there are a bunch of apartments spread out all over the circles, this circle is almost exclusively a place for people to live. "Circles" are in no way an official designation, but because that's pretty much how the districts go, it's what most about everybody calls them. Take note, however, that if you're new to the island, this setup will not be immediately apparent to you. Also, places are not exclusive to circles, there's a bit of most in all circles.
Then, at the very core of the island, lies the local marine headquarters. Eight canals go from this to the edge of the island, one in each of the major compass directions, for fast dispatching of marines anywhere. At the end of each canal, at the dock circle, there are smaller marine outposts, each one harboring two battleships. The local marine commander, user of the reversal devil fruit, Christopher Arrows, is a strict but friendly person and is well liked by the islanders. Pirate visits are plentiful, but pirate attacks are rare. Those few that does happen are often routed quickly.
Then a certain crew came into port...
(take notice, the crew spoken about is not the RP crew - it's the "foreshadowing for the first arc" pirates)
Alright, character time. I won't give you any template on what to write, you write what you find is relevant about your character. So yeah that thing about captain role and shit doesn't apply any more.
Also, if you want a role, but someone else has already signed up with that role, don't worry - just toss your profile in. I may choose yours if I find it better than the previous one. Also, people may leave the crew, making room for new blood. I want this to be evolving.
Also also, villains. Villains villains villains. And, of course, antagonists. If you want to play such a role, only make a post in which you say you want to sign up as such, and then send me the details via PM. If I really like it, then perhaps, BAM! Recurring enemy go go go. Obviously, enemies will also be created by the protagonist players. You may come up with your own, or leave it to me. If you want to make your own, shoot off details to me in PM and I'll see if it fits into the current plan or if we'll shelf it for a later arc.
Now, some guidelines and stuff:
- Do not sign up if you know you're not going to have the time. If you know you're going to disappear when we've already started, let me know and we'll work it out storywise.
- No overuse of devil fruits, neither for characters nor enemies. Not outside of the Grand Line. A few are OK, but if half of a pirate crew in West Blue are DF users, it gets a bit silly. Also, nothing overpowered. I'm going to limit the number of accepted DF users. No, you don't get to know what that limit is. No, I haven't come up with the limit myself yet.
- Proper English is absolutely required. Spelling, punctuation, grammar, and so on and so forth. Using "your" the wrong way (hint: "you are" is abbreviated "you're") is a very personal pet peeve of mine, so doing that will just buy you a one-way ticket for the rejection train.
- Standards. Definitely standards. For terms and shit. For instance, we'll be using beli, not beri or berri. Also, English terms where applicable. Devil fruit syntax will be <power> fruit, in English. Ruffy's fruit, for instance, would be "Rubber fruit". Instead of "den den mushi", we use "snailphone". If you know there's more than one way to say something, and you wonder which we'll use, simply ask.
- This is less of a guideline and more of a request from my part, in the sense that I won't enforce it. If you follow it, I'll be happy, if you don't follow it, I won't be not happy. If you are tempted to use Japanese for no other reason than that it sounds "cooler" than English... please use English. Now, depending on your character, Japanese can of course be used properly. My character, for instance, is supposed to come from somewhat of a traditional Japanese-ish style family, and thus will (hypocritically enough) use Moonspeak for attacks. Won't use name suffixes, though. Titles, yes, name suffixes, no. But be assured, if you do it anyway, I stress that it will not affect your chances of being accepted. Unless you're obviously doing it just to tick me off. Anyway, matter of taste.
Phew. I think that was everything, but feel free to ask if I've forgotten something.
Gonna be naughty and double post, since I want my character info in a separate post. A list of accepted people may or may not be kept up in this post.

Recycling of character I never got to really use is: Go!
Name: 画像 鯉 (がぞう こい, Gazou Koi)
Her family name means "image", her personal name means "carp". Because of this, she has earned the nickname Carp, which everyone always uses. She even uses it herself when introducing herself to people.
Gender: Female
Race: Human. Had a merman ancestor somewhere, but that was so many generations ago that there's none of that blood left in her family (and no, this isn't supposed to be a plot device, just random trivia).
Role: Cook
Age: 18
Combat: Fighting is not Carp's primary skill, but she can definitely hold her own in a battle. Her fighting mentality is the one of her family, one that fits their profession: Seeing the opponent as an ingredient to be processed. She has no qualms about killing, but doesn't get any specific satisfaction out of it beyond "Yay, I won" (so far she has not killed anyone, but it perfectly ready to do so should it become necessary). She mainly uses a sushi knife for her weapon, and her main fighting style is based on literally trying to cut her enemy into sashimi. Any condiments or ingredients she carries at the time (she usually carries around small supplies of wasabi and salt at all times) she can find uses for in battle. She is more nimble than physically strong, and is fully aware of her limits. She tries to avoid head-to-head fights, rather going for tricking her opponent and striking vital points. She does not have much in ways of specific attacks, but she excels at taking what she can find and use it in novel ways, something that is true both when she's making food and when she's fighting.
Appearance: Short white hair with a black strip in it, intended to look like a piece of nori. When cooking, she has her hair covered, so that it won't get in the food. Blue-green eyes, lightly tanned skin, she stands 175 centimeters tall. She usually wears a t-shirt which is at least two sizes too big and a sleeveless denim jacket that seems to be at least one size too small - she'd definitely not be able to close the buttons on it. She's most often seen in her favourite pair of pants - a pair of jeans, which have been cut off just below the knees. They also seem to be a few sizes too big, as they're a loose fit. She uses a belt to keep them in place. The jacket, jeans and belt are all outfitted with various pockets and holders, where she keeps all sorts of things - most notably a sushi knife on each side. For shoes, she's sporting sandals for the most part.
She has had a bunch of tattoos made over the years - she has the kanji 鯉 tattooed on her left cheek, 画像 on her right upper arm (when she inherits the restaurant, she intends to add 尸 to this tattoo. See below for details on this), 米 (こめ, kome - rice) on her right hand and 魚 (さかな, sakana - fish) on her left shoulder. All of the tattoos are black.
Background: In Endport, situated in the trade circle, there's a restaurant named 画像尸 (がぞうし, Gazoushi. The family's weird sense of humour is seen in the writing of the name, as the kanji used for shi means corpse). It has a variety of foods available, but their speciality is sushi - the franchise started as a small sushi bar. A family-owned franchise, it has a tradition of that when the oldest child in the family is deemed ready, he or she is sent out to learn about the world. Upon returning, a ceremony is held wherein he or she officially becomes the new leader of the restaurant.
Carp's childhood was nothing out of the ordinary. She has grown to like her name well, despite having been bullied for it as a child. She was raised to be a cook, and has worked in the restaurant for a few years. She has been taught self-defence by her aunt 画像 巻き (Gazou Maki), the twin sister of 画像 箸 (Gazou Hashi) - Carp's mother.
Maki stepped down when it was time to decide which one of the two would do the journey and thus inherit the restaurant, citing that Hashi was a much better cook as the official reason. However, this was only an excuse being absolute balderdash, as their cooking was at an equal level, but the true reason remains a secret between the sisters. Maki has nevertheless to this day remained at the restaurant, being second in command below Hashi. When not working in the restaurant, she's earning a little money on the side as a seamstress, selling her works from her home. Not that she really needs to, she is just turning her hobby into a profit. And "profit" is probably the wrong word, as she gives at least 80% of what she makes to the restaurant. She's generally a slightly weird woman, with the kind of face that scares little kids. Has an on-and-off relationship with the keep of a nearby inn.
Hashi, on the other hand, is an excellent restaurant keeper, but she is most definitely a woman you do NOT want to cross. She made her journey generally hitch-hiking on various voyaging ships, both there and back, mostly earning her stay by - obviously - working in the kitchen. Carp's father, formerly 武山 廉介 (Takeyama Rensuke, now of course Gazou Rensuke) was one of the cooks that worked in the restaurant when Hashi inherited it. He still holds the very same position.
Personality: Carp is usually quite calm. She laughs a lot, and just like the rest of the Gazou family, she has a twisted and sometimes pretty morbid sense of humour. But, there's no real reason to be afraid of her. While she mostly keeps to herself, she enjoys company - as long as it's not in the kitchen. When she's cooking, disturbing her would be a really bad idea, unless you cherish the idea of having kitchenware stuck in places you'd think impossible. Watching her make food is however a sight to behold, she handles everything - especially her knives - with much grace. When making food for the crew, her upbringing as a restaurant employee shows. For lunch and dinner, she would make their food and serve it to them wherever they want to eat it, and then go back to the kitchen to eat something herself. For breakfast, she would eat something before preparing the meal for the rest, and then wake them up for it. Rarely would her own meal be as much as the one she has made for the crew to eat - even if she has served them a full three-course dinner complete with vintage sake, her own fill is more likely to be something along the lines of makeshift rice balls with leftover ingredients and water.
She can make many kinds of food, but being a Gazou, sushi is of course her speciality. A crew member who does not like rice is most likely SOL, as the experts would put it.
While she would completely accept another person as her captain, and would follow most orders given to her, she wouldn't necessarily see herself as an underling. At least, being the cook of the ship, she wouldn't accept being ordered around in the kitchen. Of course, she has been ordered around at the restaurant, but now... she's the one in charge.
Goal(s): She wants to improve her skills enough to be worthy of the family franchise when she returns. Her dream is to, completely on her own, kill and make sushi of a sea king.
I will, as stated, not play the captain role.
Attacks and stuff exist in a document, but they will not be revealed until used in the story.

Name: Ivan “The Juggler”
Age: 20
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Role/skills Shipwright, swordsmanship, juggling
Appearance: Ivan is average looking the kind of person who is mistaken for others. He is only 5ft-8in and 160lbs his body is lean on tone, He keeps his head shaved but covers it with a bandanna to keep it from burning. He has normally seen wearing black sleeveless shirts, cargo pants, a long gray coat and black leather boots. He has a tattoo on his right shoulder of a saw, hammer, and sword in a triangle; he covers it with a bandanna. On the right inside of his coat, he keeps three swords, the twin swords Romulus, Remus. On the left inside of his coat he keeps a hands saw, hammer, & bag of nails He also keeps a few juggling balls in his pants.
Personality: Ivan is an out going person who lets nothing stand in the way of his dreams. He treats his body like a temple never drinking or smoking, and is always working out when he has the time. He’s overly protective of his hands and rarely takes off his gloves.
Ivan’s also a bit girl crazy, he tries to play it cool and swoon them off their feet, but ends up making an ass out of himself more often than not. He angers quickly when people insult his skills as a shipwright, and often over reacts by building a ship for that person.
family history: Ivan’s family, were circus shipwrights are a roaming band of shipwrights and entertainers. Ivan the youngest of 6 brothers and sisters. He was the juggler in his families’ show, their big-ticket seller was his families’ ability to build a ship as they put on their show. His grandfather was a pirate shipwright and swordsmen for a number of years.(yes this is a plot device)
Back-story: Ivan was born at sea, and raised to continue his families’ work.from a very young age He loved ship and wanted nothing more than to work on them, so he trained hard to work in the show and on his shipwright skills. Once he turned 10, he was able to join his family in performing their shows, and his grandfather started teaching him sword play. even at this young age he was better than some of his siblings at working on the ships. When he turned 15 , he got his families’ tattoo and was able to start working on ships alone. It was about this time that they had to pick some one to manage the ships, none of his brothers or sisters wanted the job of managing the shipbuilding so it fell to Ivan to start the training to be the lead shipwright of the family. 5 years past and work was good Ivan was getting ready to take over as lead shipwright. However, on their last job they built a ship for a pirate who later attacked a marine out post. When the marines caught the pirates, the marines forced the pirates to tell them who made the ship. The next day the Marines sent a representative his families ship. He told them if they split up or stopped building ships they would not face death at Enies lobby, they did so knowing they could get by doing their shows alone. Ivan unable to stop working on ships left his family at their next stop saying that if he could not be a shipwright with them he would be one with out them, so with that, he dropped his last name and left. Ivan now mainly goes by the name Vanechka to protect his family for WG wrath.
Likes: ships, “in shape women” juggling, all forms of showmanship
Dislikes: drinking, smoking, marines
Combat Info: Ivan uses his grandfathers sword style. He would rather not fight if he has to but is not one to shy away from one if he has to. His hands are his life so he avoids damaging them.
Attacks:
Goals: To own a ship building Co.
Belongings: tools of the trade, the twin swords Romulus, Remus

Name: Rocko "The GraveSword" Wakback
Gender: Male
Race: Human, sorta
Age: 25
Occupation: Pirate swordsman
Combat: Normally He's quite and thinks things through. but in battle, he like a raptor, he kills for the hunt and shows no mercy, but he still has a sence of honor.
History: At one time he was human, but that was when he was known as Rocko "the RockBlade" with a bounty of only 14 hundred thousand. He was caught by the marines in the West Blue and brought to a Marine base to be executed. Somehow, he managed to excape, but not bofore making his way into the Marine lab. There he found the devil fruit, the Hone Hone no mi (Bone Bone Fruit), he was going to take it and sell it, but a marines surprised him from behind making him fall face first into it making him take a bite.
The Devil fruit made his bone dencity become harder then steel, but not before reconfiguing his Skin and skeletal system to that of more like a half-man half-Dinosaur look. A tail with a lone spike jetting up shot out from his back. His skin changed from his nornal white man skin to a brown scaly skin. And his Skull was the biggest change, the skin and hair on his head shifted to the point where the skull out grew his face then the Bone maro forumed around his head and changed into a dinosaur like skull.
Now he's wanted for 59 Million for killing 10 marines that day and goes by Rocko "The GraveSword" Wakback.
Devil Fruit / Fighting Style: He's skilled with a sword like no one has ever seen. With his Sword in his left hand he attacks, and his hilt in his right hand he blocks. He also has Skin and Bones as hard as steel.

-Name: Theodore Duncan
-Gender: Male
-Race: Human
-Height: 5’ 11’’
-Weight: 235 lbs
-Age: 27
-Role: Marksman
-Other Skills: survival, leadership
-Appearance: Theo, as he prefers to be called, has short cut brown hair (only about a half-inch long). His sideburns, moustache, and beard are shaved smooth regularly. His hazel eyes are a bit farther apart than average. His broad, rounded chin and his wide mouth make up the bottom half of his face. He wears his old ‘Justice’ coat from his time in the Marines, with a few modifications. The kanji ‘Justice’ has been dyed out (Theo intends to replace it with a different Kanji, but is unsure of what to put) and any blue on the coat has been replaced with a bluish-purple shade. Under the coat, which he wears in the typical style, as a cape, he has a red button-down shirt. The last part of his usual out fit is a pair of long, gray pants and pointed black shoes. Slung around his back is his great axe. He has two throwing axes on his hip, two on his thighs, and most are held by loops in his coat.
-Personality: Theodore is usually polite and gentlemanly. If someone makes a bad joke, he will still laugh, he apologizes if he thinks he did something wrong, and he always gives his thanks. However he is not known for his patience. If kept waiting longer than he was told to, his anger boils until he explodes with rage at whoever kept him waiting, (and then he apologize afterwards). If he wants something of someone, he will be persistent until they express their annoyance at him. From his time in the Marines, he earned another quality. He expects all those below him to follow his orders, and ignores his normal manners if they disobey without a very good reason, such as the orders conflicting with the person’s morals.
-History: Theodore was born on a heavily wild island in the North Blue. The town, Wild Point, was a recently built town on the island. His father owned a store that sold survival gear, such as tents, hunting weapons, non-spoilable food, and such. Because of this, Theo grew up learning much about how to survive in the wild. His father, Shimon wanted him to inherit the store one day, but Theo had plans to join the Marines. After a month of arguing and a bit of thought Shimon talked his son into going out to the wilderness for one month, as a marketing scheme, and if he came back after one month without chickening out, he would send him to a Marine Academy, and on the path to becoming a Marine.
At the age of 15, Theo left into the forest, with nothing but a few supplies of his fathers choosing. However, the first night out he realized something. Whether by accident or on purpose, his father didn’t supply him with a good woodcutting axe, but rather, a sack full of hatchets. Though this was at first, a bad thing in Theo’s mind, he turned it around when he found that he hunted things better by throwing them than using the hunting pistol he was given. He discovered this by accident, of course. He was examining a hatchet when he was startled by an animal and threw the hatchet as a reaction, killing it and providing a meal for the day. By the end of the month, he was skilled and accurate with the hatchet throwing and perfectly healthy.
When he arrived at the town, he found that mostly everyone was shocked and glad to see him. Shimon had been stricken with shame a day or two after Theo left. After three unsuccessful search attempts, Shimon gave up, praying the Theo would come back. In the time between then and now, he had taken ill due to the stress of worrying. Theo ran home and found that his father was delusional; refusing to believe his son came back and was in front of him. Theo managed to convince him that he was real, and not an illusion or pretender. Shimon began crying and apologizing, while Theo tried to get him to calm down again. Shimon expressed that he was truly happy his son returned, and promised that he would be going to the Marine Academy in the summer after he turned 17.
Theo went to the academy with a supply of throwing axes, preferring to use them rather than a rifle. He also used a great axe rather than the traditional sword. In the Academy, he was constantly above average, well above in some cases. He also made a number of friends, the most memorable being an East Blue resident by the name of Janeil. The two were rivals, and their rivalry was legendary in the Academy. After the student’s two years of training at the Marine HQ ended, they still saw each other as equals.
Theo was luckily assigned to serve as a marine in his Blue, the North. Also, assigned to the same ship was Janeil, allowing their rivalry to continue. Janeil however, was growing sick of the rivalry, and wished to surpass Theo at last. The first scheme was to hire a pirate gang to defeat Theo, and then Janeil would jump in and force the crew to retreat, and be seen as the hero of the day. Unfortunately for Janeil, it did not go as planned. While Theo did need to be rescued, he had previously organized the civilians and got them out harms way, while also preventing the pirates from killing as many as they would have other wise. So, rather than Janeil, Theo was seen as the hero of the day, and promoted.
Janeil would not give up so easily however. He found his next opportunity during an assault on a pirate stronghold in a series of interweaving tunnels. Janeil convince the division captain to let Theo and himself to split off and sneak through the tunnels and find the pirate leader while the rest of the division initiate a large battle with the crew. The Captain accepted Janeil’s strategy, and the two went into the labyrinth. In about an hour, the two were battling the pirate captain and his guard. Together, the rivals won handily, with only a few wounds on either of them. Janeil executed the part of his plan and attempted to kill Theo and make it look like the pirate captain did it. Theo retaliated, and the two fought evenly until the rest of the division arrived after having defeated the leaderless crew. When the fighters heard their fellow marines approach, they stopped the battle and pretended to be resting. When the Captain asked for a situation report, Janeil said that he had gone ahead, thinking to engage the pirate leader himself, and Theo came and rescued him, both being wounded. Theodore received another promotion.
The two served on the same ship until over a month before present day, with Theo at the rank of Captain and Janeil, a Lieutenant Commander. A few months after becoming captain, he, Janeil, and a handful of other Marines were assigned to serve on a ship in the Grand Line headed by a Commodore. Theo had long since forgiven Janeil for attacking him, but Janeil was merely biding his time. Less than a week after being assigned to the ship of Commodore Locke Worth, Janeil initiated his plan to surpass Theo at last. Janeil gave Theo a message that Commodore Locke wanted to see him. When Theo arrived at the Commodore’s quarters, he found that Locke had been murdered by…a throwing axe. Janeil ‘happened’ to come in, saw the body, and yelled for help. Theo was arrested and given a trial.
Thankfully, the trial would go well. His lawyer was competent, and there wasn’t enough evidence to incriminate Theo. Over the course of the trial, during Janeil’s witness statement, it became apparent that he had something to do with it, but Theo couldn’t know what. After a few weeks, Theo was found innocent, but the killer wasn’t caught and the World Government said someone must take the blame. Theo was demoted and reassigned. Theo would not follow his orders however. He modified his ‘Justice’ coat and went to the West Blue, intending to quit the Marines. He wanted to do something were he would be leader, wouldn’t need to worry about someone above him giving him orders, and would not have to deal with corruption. Theo wanted to start a pirate crew.
-Fighting Style: Theo is highly skilled with his throwing axes, throwing them fast, accurate, and far. His other weapon, for use in close combat and against many enemies is his great axe, which is essentially an axe head on a pole, allowing for a bit more reach. He can also throw it, and although it is stronger than his throwing axes, it doesn’t go nearly as far and he only has one.
-Other: Birthday is November 3rd. Favorite food is venison steaks or roast.
Would be ready to play captain, as he was created with that in mind.

Steve: Alright, you're accepted. Your spelling has a few slips, but nothing that really gripes me (except for that it's "great", not "grate"). Also, you would benefit from putting a little more thought into your punctuation.
Gyojin: You're definitely accepted. Great English, great character, and so on.
Wakback: At this point, you're not accepted. Your character profile is a tad lacking, and the character comes off to me as more fitting of a villain. A body as hard as steel falls into the "overpowered" category for a protagonist.

I just hope we can get this going. The RP board has been pretty dead lately.

In light of all the recent global problems, can I recyle my character with a few mods to suit this one?

Please, go right ahead. The more applications, the more for me to choose from.

I am really tempted to try to apply for this one. If I don't have anything ready though, I wish you all the luck. This board has seriously been dead lately so I really look forward to seeing what you guys come up with. Remember, don't die! If you die, I will kill you!

You'll have to resurrect us first then...
Name: Miko Clara
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Role: Navigator
Age: 19
Motto: That's too much like hard work.
Fruit: N/A
Combat: Clara fights with two custom made knuckle dusters with long stiletto blades curving off the front and running down to her elbow. This makes her entire arm a weapon, but means she exposes herself more often and will try not to strike directly as it jars her wrist too much. To use the blades she more often than not only causes a glancing blow with knuckle dusters on the front allowing her arm to slide across the rivals’ body.
She fights with a form of martial arts, choosing to strike at joints and using throws for when she gets into too much trouble.
She also carries six throwing knives but she prefers not to use them unless she is a bit out-numbered and although aiming for the chest area she will generally hit them in the shoulder. But she is more commonly seen playing with her knives rather than using them properly. She wears her two knuckle dusters on each hip in long sheaf's leaving only the knuckle parts exposed. Her two throwing knives are on her lower back.
Appearance/Physical specs: Although being 19 Clara is often mistaken for someone around 15 as she is still short, being about 5 foot 2, and looks slightly childish. But she knows how this can be a advantage as most underestimate her but she gets annoyed every time and will fight more recklessly endangering herself more. She keeps her long black hair tied up in a pony tail that reaches almost to her lower back. This dark hair though gives the impression that she is almost white as her skin is fair but the black hair makes it look even lighter. This fact isn’t helped as her eyes are a very pale blue almost grey.
She most commonly wears baggy shorts and a baggy tshirt, just what she feels comfortable in. This doesn't help her look any older and more people think she is still a child from this. She can always be seen around in thick soled, solid boots, choosing them more for practical reasons than looks.
Background: Growing up on civilian ships where her father was the captain, Clara was generally kept inside a lot and was always forced to wear long dresses. She would quickly bore of being kept inside and wandered the ships, but at 12 she took an interest in navigating and would spend most of her time up by the helm or meddling with the routes in the navigators’ cabin. She was soon found out however but her routes somehow were always half a day faster than the ones that were already planned.
At 16 her father retired and they both settled on an island in North Blue but she soon grew bored of being there and started learning martial arts to try and pass the time. She soon took to wearing just shorts and a tshirt as it gave her a lot more moment than any other clothes. Around this time her father watched her grow bored, so he arranged for her to travel around on a civilian ship as an apprentice navigator.
By 18 she had left the civilian ship and took to wandering between different Islands in West Blue always moving when she grew bored or things got a little too interesting when pirates decided to turn up. At these times she soon realized she needed a weapon and the two throwing daggers were the first things she bought. She never spent much time using them preferring them to hold down maps or just to cut her nails on. It was during one of these attacks that she borrowed the knuckle dusters. It was while travelling on the Albatross when it came under attack by pirates. Clara had run to the armoury and found these knuckle dusters with long blades curving away from the fount. She quickly slipped them into place. She returned to the navigators’ cabin and waited the attack out there only having to attack one person. She quickly loved these blades as she could still use her previous training and they wouldn't get in the way and with the added blade she soon found them invaluable.
Combos / Specials: Will make them as we go along
Personality: Clara gets bored easily if she stays in any one place for more than a few weeks, preferring to wander. She gets irritated very easily when people call her short or when they think she is younger than what she is. Although she hates to be bored, she hates it when things get 'interesting' and unexpected things start happening around her that she can't control. When something has got her interest she will generally stick with it.
Goal: To be able to get her own ship travel where she likes.
Not suited to be a captain, prefers to provide support

A'ight, Xioe, you're back in.
Loc: Please do. I've seen your other thread, you seem to have a grasp of how to do this right.

Steve: Alright, you're accepted. Your spelling has a few slips, but nothing that really gripes me (except for that it's "great", not "grate"). Also, you would benefit from putting a little more thought into your punctuation.
LoL, got to love dyslexia. I'll be less lazy once we get going, until then, me am gooder at english yeah! ![]()

I have to admit I aren't ever sure when it should be ' or not in end of word but I will still try:
Name: Zieg de Aarde
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Age: 21
Role: Doctor
Personality: He doesn't care what others things about him and thus gets angry only if he gets wound what is hard to treat.
Appereance: Height is 182 cm and weight is 78 kg. He has medium long grey/silver hair and green right eye, well left eye would be green also if it wouldn't have been taken out in prison where most of scars in his back has also came. Other ways his body is well build. He uses black t-shirt, dark blue jeans and dark leather gloves and shoes.
Combat info : Does not like fighting or killing since he is bored with those things already but can use knives or small swords if needed and have always some self made poison with him. Has eaten Earth Earth fruit what is logia type fruit and that has gives him immunity against poisons. With his devil fruit he can produce various elements found in ground like rocks or soil from his skin but only ammount of his own weight before he needs to rest. He can't turn himself into earth or rock and knows if he produces jewels the money balance would go down and beli's would turn to nothing.
History: Zieg was born in pirate family where his father is first mate of Berocca pirate crew and mother was navigator in same crew but died when she were giving birth to Zieg. After birth Zieg was rased by doctor of ship becose order from captain where his father had to go spy marines. He spended ten years there and learned lots about medicines and poison. One day Berocca pirates were able to get their hands to devil fruit and like in crew were usually divided share of loot the one who got fruit was also thrown by dice and winner happened to be Zieg. Next five years he practiced use of fruit and his skills as doctor until day when whole crew were captured by marines. Most of crew were executed in few days but young ones were thrown in jail for the day when they turn 20. After Zieg got free he went to Endport to learn more about wounds and medicines where he fell in love with girl but for his bad luck feeling were only one sided.
I have more detailed history written but if possible I would like to tell it as short flashbacks... And I can change it so the starting point with my characters story isn't at Endport.

I'll post Jerome again if you don't mind. I re-wrote his profile but I have a bad thing at doing these things when it's late so I'm sorry for any typos or stupid things... I'll correct things tomorrow if I have to, okay? It's 3am now... ![]()
Name: Jerome Tou
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Age: 31
Height: 6’ 7’’
Weight: Around 170 lbs
Role: Doctor
Appearance: Jerome is a lanky person, his body is pretty much made out of skin and bones only. Other things one might notice about him are his wide shoulders and long legs. He has pale skin from spending most of his time indoors, partly because his skin burns easily. Jerome has a pointy chin and a narrow nose, slightly pointing up. He has a gray short hair except for two bangs on the sides of his head that cover his ears and another bang slightly over his right eye. There’s a darker grey, almost black goatee on his chin and thick eyebrows of the same color above his light blue colored eyes. Jerome doesn’t have money so right now his wardrobe consists of a blue sort trench coat and beige pants that he usually tugs inside his black leather boots. He carries a small leather pouch with him where he stores little things such as bandages and painkillers. Occasionally cigarettes.
Personality: Jerome might be old and look like that but he’s pretty immature. He kind of acts like a snobby spoiled kid sometimes, preferring to do things his way and not really caring if someone gets hurt as long as he stays unharmed and/or gets what he wants. He also has a short temper and as he’s trying to quit smoking, it’s very, very short. He gets easily in a fight with people who annoy him. Jerome never fights though, if he manages to piss someone off so badly they want to beat him, he’ll just run away. If he can’t get away then he’ll try to apologize but he’s not good at that. If someone is trying to help him then he’ll just tell them to go away and then hide behind their back when something bad happens.
Jerome’s a doctor but he doesn’t enjoy it as he was pretty much forced to be one. He won’t treat everyone who is hurt unless they are badly injured and likes to keep his skills as a secret unless it will help him somehow. Him or his friends (that he doesn’t have...). Even as his friend he will mock you and call you an idiot for getting hurt but he will get the job done. Ladies will have easier time with him, he won’t be as rough to them as he is to guys. He will still call them an idiot most of the time, depends who it is. Jerome treats his patients better than he does himself though, most of the time he just gulps down some painkillers and is happy with that.
Jerome’s not too bad if he’s left alone or if he likes the people he’s hanging around with. That’s when he will be pretty laid back and care about his friends. He’s an asshole though so it’s hard to find people who would enjoy his company. Then again, the only “person” he likes is his spear he named Meimei. Jerome treats “her” as a human being, as a princess who he is very protective of. You better not touch her or he will get mad.
History: Jerome grew up in a small island where pretty much everyone knew each other. His father used to hunt for treasure in his younger days and because of that he was very rich. He built a huge mansion for himself and his wife, who got sick and died when Jerome was young. Jerome and his father were both devastated. They didn’t know how to express their sadness so most of the time they both were sitting in their rooms, quiet, doing nothing. Jerome’s father was sure that if their island had more doctors, she could’ve been saved. That’s why he forced Jerome to become a doctor though he never told his reason to him. This of course lead into numerous of numerous of fights as the young Jerome didn’t want anyone else to tell him what to do. His father was strict and in the end, he won. Jerome hated the stupid books, the stupid doctor crap and his stupid father. He wanted him to die for forcing him to do this and told that to everyone he could.
Many years later he was already a rather skilled doctor who was able to treat many wounds. He still didn’t like it and he liked his father even less. One night he was reading some medical book when he heard a scream. It sounded like his father. Jerome ran to his father’s room, only to find him on the ground with blood everywhere. On the ground with a spear sticking out of him. Jerome checked his pulse, even though he already knew that his father was dead. He glanced at the spear and pulled it out of his father’s body. The spear looked beautiful even though it was covered it blood. He stared at it for a while when he heard footsteps behind him. Jerome turned around him and saw that there were some villagers and their servants gathered at the doorway, looking at him their mouths open. There he was, a bloody spear in his hands standing next to his father’s body, the father who he had always hated and said how he wanted to kill him.
“I....” Jerome mumbled and clenched the spear, scared. It looked like he had killed him and he even had a motive. No one would believe him. Without much thinking, he jumped out of the window and ran away, spending the whole night hiding and then finally sneaking up on a ship that left that morning. Jerome spent days in the ship hiding from the crew, scared that they might’ve heard what happened. He snuck out of the ship when they docked and started looking for another ship just in case someone had followed him. He spent years that way, working for sailors as a doctor or just cleaning the deck for exchange of food and transport. Jerome was afraid that someone might catch him so he never settled down anywhere. His spear became his only friend, he even started treating it like a human being. It was the only thing that never changed and a clue to what happened that one night.
Fighting style: Jerome is not a fighter and will much rather run away than fight. If he has to fight then he’ll use his spear. He’s not good when it comes to using it but he can defend himself against weak foes. He prefers fast attacks and tries not to hurt his enemies too much. Killing is a big no-no for him, maybe because he’s a doctor and all. Jerome is happier when he doesn’t have to fight at all, it’s not good that Meimei gets dirty...
Other random trivia: Reading is hard for Jerome because of his eyesight. He becomes seasick during storms. His birthday is on February 15th. Likes takoyaki.

I'm glad you liked it Kenny. I really hope this RP won't die... But with you in charge, I don't think that's going to happen any time soon. ![]()
Offline
I'm not going to let it. At least try not to. If some player becomes inactive, we'll just turn the character into an NPC and kill it off, or something like that.

Offline
Sounds good, that way the whole RP won't die because of a one person.
Offline
I've been thinking. Since the sign-ups have slowed down, I suggest starting soon. We are starting small, after all. After some activity, I predict we will get more applications, maybe even some villans.
Offline
Yeah, I've been thinking that myself. Going to pick out the starting crew soon.

Offline
Ah, great to hear that it's finally starting. How many people are you going to start out with? There can't be too many but if there aren't enough, going to the Grand Line would be a suicide, right? Especially people who know nothing about each other. Endport is the last stop before Grand Line after all..
Offline
Well surely those that start together would know each other roughly as we would be picking up the story from about half way through..
Not to put ideas in your head kenny

Offline
Going to the Grand Line would definitely be suicide for the starting crew, since it'll consist of... like... three people.
That said, just because we start out close to the Grand Line doesn't mean have to go there first thing. As opposed to the Grand Line, in the Blues, you can actually travel in more than one direction.
Story's not really getting "picked up" - at the point the first arc starts, none of the characters know anything about each other.
Will reveal who's in from the start later, either today or tomorrow. For now... dinner.

Offline
sweet, good to know we'll be getting underway soon. Even If I'm not in from the start or at all would be nice to have a new rp to read. ![]()
