Re: Bon Voyage (working title) - Now taking applications

You didn't have to do it time for 'our' Friday. You could've got away with some time zoneing

Re: Bon Voyage (working title) - Now taking applications

Well, yeah, I always meant my Friday, and it only lasts for another three hours and forty minutes. I'm fucking doing this.

(also, "could of" is not a proper way to write "could've")

Re: Bon Voyage (working title) - Now taking applications

Meh, I write how I say things most times and if it looks right it stays.....

(but I have edited it for your benefit.)

Edit: If I try to change it the spell checker in Firefox kicks up and says that could've just ain't right, then again checking in word it comes up fine. FF spell check must be in wrong American

Re: Bon Voyage (working title) - Now taking applications

Saying "could of" out loud definitely sounds very similar to "could've", so I don't really blame you.

Anyway, the PMs have now been sent. Time to give the starting post a shot.

Also what the hell why can't I edit the thread title.

Re: Bon Voyage (working title) - Now taking applications

That's pretty shitty. Oh well, we're still taking applications anyway. This will also be the discssion thread for the RP.

Also, working on post.

Edit: And so, gentlemen, we are off. As a suggestion, start your story posts before the attack begins, witnessing the start of it from other angles.

Now I need some sleep.

Great post Kenny. I must do some plotting and try to write something... I'm pretty tired too but I'll seem like a horrible person if I go to sleep while you worked your ass off. I'll try, if nothing great comes out then I'll just write something tomorrow.

Re: Bon Voyage (working title) - Now taking applications

Try listening to the Lion King soundtrack. I've recently found it's great for provoking inspiration to appear. It made me stop procrastinating on another story I have been working on for a while... should have worked on, at least.

Also, for credit to go where credit is due: the Death Stitch pirates aren't entirely my brainchild, they were created by Gas Pump for the first arc of Fondue and Friends. The individuals I PM'd you about are however completely thought up by me, I did not recycle any of the ones in Fondue and Friends... mostly because they were not organized and had far too many devil fruit powers and were generally weird and all over the place. Anyway.

I'm going to recycle like the entire first post I made in Fondue and Friends, because I really liked that post. I'll make sure it fits into the story.

Re: Bon Voyage (working title) - Now taking applications

Oh I'll try that. The older Disney movies had pretty nice soundtracks...

Recycling things isn't that bad, especially when the ideas you like aren't used to their full potential. Imitating is the sincerest form of flattery after all.

Re: Bon Voyage (working title) - Now taking applications

Heh heh~ I hope you are talking about the first Lion King sound track, and not the sequel Kenny. *snorts and starts humming 'In Upendi'* XD

In any case, the starting post was really good, and made me very eager for when I finally get a chance to play an antagonist of any type.  It also makes me excited to see the RP starting up. ^w^

As for re-using your post from F&F Kenny, as long as you make it fit the story, I could care less. x3

Now, I shall hide in fear of being reprimanded by Kenken for using 'faces' and *'s to indicate actions. *Grins and goes under a table.*

I have a feeling that the sequel was so bad that my brain wiped the memories of it. Can't remember a thing.

Kenken is probably the best nickname ever. But what can you call someone named Ex-marinewanabe? D:

If only I had the same luck as you Sunny- if only.

O.o; I honestly hadn't thought about nicknames when I made my name; if I had, it probably would have been something that gave me a better nickname then 'Wanabe'. >.>;

Re: Bon Voyage (working title) - Now taking applications

Exy, of course.

Also, definitely the original Lion King.

Anyway, Exy - by the way, you're probably accepted for later on, but I should read through your profile again - as long as you don't do that in actual RP posts, I don't mind. What I do mind is bad spelling and grammar, and I will be a spelling/grammar nazi during the course of this RP. Just so y'all know. Nothing personal, really. Just pet peeves.

Mmh, Exy, the sidekick of the great hero Sunny.....

Yeah it could work.

Anyway, RP stuff. I know what I'm going to write but I'm a bit too tired to write it down yet... Feels like I'm catching a cold. I hope my idea won't be too short when I actually write it. No battle yet though, I'll save that for later.

I pretty much intended for no battles to happen in the first posts, so it's all according to plan.

Good, I'm not good at writing battles anyway. And Jerome isn't a great fighter. I hope that the pirates aren't too strong...

I'm kind of hoping that Gyojin posts. But for now, time to sleep. Good night.

Re: Bon Voyage (working title) - Now taking applications

Once again, the day has been saved thanks to Kenken and acronyms!

I kinda figured you would not be too picky about grammar out of the RP~ but I was just playing around a bit. Heh.
Dont worry about my actual posts; I am honestly pretty serious when it comes to the grammar of them myself. I even had a nightmare last night that I was RPing in a group which used 'chat speak', '1337', and a script format. *twitches*

Oh, and night Sunny~

I have to admit, "Kenken" is a new one. I've been called Kenny, KennyMan, Ken, Kenn, Kent, KM666 and k.man, but never Kenken.

...I don't do makeup. >.>

Btw- does anyone want me to try and find a picture for your character? I just found a good site, and I think I can find some pretty good matches face/hair-wise.

All right! Captain position! I don't think anyone else applied for the position though...

Anyway, I have started my post, and will hopefully post today, if not tomorrow.

Re: Bon Voyage (working title) - Now taking applications

Congratulations!

I was just watching the end of the 'Thriller Bark' arc, and came to a realization. Because the crew is going to spend some time in West Blue building and strengthening their crew, they more then likely are going to in counter some of the 'victims' of Moria; that is, of course, if this RP is taking place in the same Golden Age as OP is. Even if it is, I suppose it would also depend on how the Strawhat crew's time line and the (currently unnamed) crew's time line.

Just a little food for thought. However, seeing as we are just starting out, it isn't too relevant.

Re: Bon Voyage (working title) - Now taking applications

Correction: Jefu is real good at art. I am mediocre at best. My true talent lies in stealing others' art and coloring it. However, if you really want, I could try, but I can't guarantee anything beyond a 5th grader's capability.

In other news, congrats on starting. I have an idea brewing for a character that I may submit at some time. Until then, I'll be keeping an eye on you guys.

Re: Bon Voyage (working title) - Now taking applications

Exy: Personally I'm currently only at the end of Enies Lobby (following the Swedish release, currently up to volume 44).

...I know more than I want about Thriller Bark (hate goddamned spoilers), and I know Moria is a character, but I know nothing about Moria (save for what he's a part of, will not spoil for other people), so I'd have no idea about that.

Either way, I'm not really sure what the timeline's gonna be. I'm not sure it even matters.
