Will the One Piece volumes be 10 bucks or will they be cheaper than other manga since they're releasing so many at one time?

viz have been increasing their prices slowly but notably. don't expect 10$ to be the end of it

In case any of you are interested, the latest American Shonen Jump contains an English version of the Romance Dawn pre-one piece manga which the latest anime special was based on.

Other interesting things in this month's issue include summaries of all the arcs up until Impel Down and some Oda Q n' A!

The next issue will begin the chapters from Impel Down. Will it eventually catch up with the Japanese Jump schedule? Heres hoping!

Oh! the floor display must be the corrugate. Its one of those cardboard things that hold manga in stores. We usually send them out for free if a store buys 60 or so manga. There's a new display every month. If I remember correctly this is the line-up. (sorry if i get them wrong, i'm working on the Shojo side right now)

those correspond to the months that the special Wanted poster themed stickers are coming out in. Usopp and Brooke can only be found in the SJ mag.

all the proofs are in the design library. I only have access to the raw design files, of which I would get fired if I leaked. If there are anymore that need proofing I'll see if I can get a picture of one of em.

sorry to revive a dead thread, but has anyone else picked em up. Suddenly there's "hell"s and "damn"s slipped all over it. I was wondering if they commented on their sudden decision to tone up the language factor. It's a little odd.

haven't noticed it yet. From which volume on did they change this? I'm currently reading volume 40 but haven't seen a hell or damn yet.....looking forward to it

Saul drops the first one during the robin flashback, but it made me wonder if there were more I missed because I just kinda glaze over it having already memorized most of the lines. I am exaggerating about all over though. I'm just surprised to see any in there after thirty something volumes of "darn".

Thanks everyone! I just wanted to tell you that all 5 volumes of this months One Piece speed up made it to the New York Times Bestselling Manga list this week. It even got an article this week in the arts section of the website.

Also in anime news we're doing a lot more with FUNi, to where we are also streaming One Piece on our streaming site. vizanime.com I think we're obligated to be one week behind them, but not to play favorites, but I like our player better.

I love this speed up but it is killing my wallet. And I haven't even been able to buy March's and April's volumes. Or been able to read all of January and February's volumes. I need to make more manga reading time.

I really, really love Viz for releasing it on this basis. Every month I enjoy the 5 volumes and just when I finished the last one, the next batch has been released already or will be within a couple of days. 2010 is a One Piece reading trip for me up untill now

So far the only thing I really don't like is that they've called Gear Second Gear Two. Yes, it shows the number 2, but it's pronounced Se-ka-n-do! It's even pronounced that way in the anime. It's not a deal breaker, as I'm buying every volume as they come, but it's kind of annoying that there isn't consistency.

I can understand changing 'Don!' to 'Boom!' though, but it would have been nice to have it translated literally. Aside from those minor gripes, great job on the speed up. I'll be sad when it goes back to the months of waiting for a single volume though.

yeah the Don->Boom translation was really stupid IMO, seeing that the sound effects used for DON have been left untranslated to DON with every volume now. I also agree on you Gear Second / Gear Two translation but overall I'm satisfied with the releases. I'm wondering what the release schedule will be after the speedup. Volume 54 will be released in july, but no news on volume 55 yet.

This is something I just found out, and really sad about. now I don't get to collect all the wanted posters since I don't read SJ/get them in the Netherlands...
