I started watching One Piece a few months or so ago and am currently on episode 211 in the middle of the Davy Back arc. My question is should I watch the movies? I finished watching Bleach last winter and never watched any of the movies and didn't really care to. I also finished Dragon Ball Z last summer and have watched a few movies from it, and as far as i can tell the movies have nothing to do with the plot line and are just more tales in the series. What i would like to know is should i watch the One Piece movies and if so in relation to when in the anime should i do so?
Thanks for any replies!

Personally, I really don't like the movies. I haven't seen past what K-F has subbed, but I've heard Movie 10 is good, which makes sense since Oda played a huge part in making it. If you're looking for a guide, I suggest this: http://onepiece.wikia.com/wiki/Episode_Guide
The boxes in blue are the movies. It tells you when the movies came out and where the anime was at that time.

Thanks! I'm not sure if I'll watch the movies or not but this guide was a huge help!

Movie 10 Strong World is definitely the best movie all around IMO. If you decide to watch a One Piece movie, that be the one to see.
Thing is...it's real far in the progression of the story. If you're in the early 200's episodes, consider this first: It takes place roughly after the Thriller Bark session and I just saw a few episodes(ep 426-429) related to the movie. The movie doesn't really throw the TV story off, but it will have main characters not yet introduced to you. If none of this bothers you, then lol by all means enjoy ![]()

Thanks for this info, I think i will watch it but only when I have reached the point when it was meant to be watched. I'm also excited to see these new main characters!
Thank you once again for the information!

Of course you should watch the movies. :'D
Worst case scenario, you don't like them and you end up wasting an hour and a half. Worse things have happened, eh?
I'm sure you'll like at least some of the movies, anyway. (My favorites are 2, 4, 6, 9, and 10. Kinda funny how it skips one every time... except for movie 9, curse you Chopper, you ruin everything!)
