And i thought bleach wasted pages. This needs to go into the guinness book.

That's an interesting ability. Pretty thought provoking.

Woo-hoo!!!! Leorio is back! And he finally has a nen ability!
Also, I think I had a nerdgasm when he punched out Ging.

I like Ging. I assume he's one of those fathers that gives tough love to his kid.
That ability was pretty boss, though.
Who the hell is voting for Gong?

yeah, it looks like he's teleporting his punch. I think i have seen a similar ability. however i can't remember if it's from HxH or another manga. Hopefully kurapika shows up too.

There was a similar ability in HxH. One of Razor's henchmen in Greed Island, the boxer, had it. He could only do the teleport inside the boxing ring where he had his little circle drawn, so in that regard Leorio's version seems to be a lot more useful.
Ging had it coming and I knew if someone was going to punch him in the face in that situation it would be Leorio but it still caught me by surprise. Great stuff! Would be interesting if Leo became chairman because of this... ![]()

that's right, the boxer in greed island. thx for reminding me Kollo.
The main story line is about Gon's journey searching his dad. If they meet, the manga will end, right? Hopefully there will be a new arc or new enemies.

Personally I kind of hope that Togashi wraps things up pretty soon, before he has to go on hiatus again. That way the new Hunter x Hunter anime will be able to cover the entire manga storyline.
I'd say that after Gon is saved by Killua and the election ends, the story could do with one more story arc to resolve things between Kurapika and the Genei Ryodan, allow Gon to surpass Hisoka, and finally have Gon and his father meet.

By the looks of things, Togashi is skipping right to the "meets his father" bit. Maybe Ging will make a daring escape in the next chapter.
Also, I'd like to find out what happened to Killua and why. The "subtle" foreshadowing moment between Morel and Leorio kind of hinted that something had happened.

Is it sad that I've been following the election for Hunter Association chairman more closely than the Republican primary? Well, at least in this fictitious election only one candidate is a rat...

Wow. I don't even remember how Greed Island tied in.. he eventually found out his dad programmed the game.. was it that his dad programmed it for HIM to one day find him with it? Wasn't that what they found out?... so wth? Is he literally just being a fucking horrible father? I seriously don't understand.

I'm pretty sure Ging mainly made the game for fun with his friends and he just wanted to show it off to his son. Also Ging did make it possible for Gon to meet him after the game, but it was only on the condition that he come alone. If Gon were to have other people with him, ie. Killua, then he would be transferred to Kaito which then became the beginning of the Chimaera Ant arc. Don't get me wrong though, he still isn't really redeemed from that, but I'm sure he has his reasons.

I'm a little disappointed with the quality of the art this week. The art had been getting better again lately, and I was hoping for something top notch for such a momentous occasion as Gon finally getting to meet his father.

I literally forgot about that. Hunter was away for so damn long that I'd forgotten the series. I can't wait to watch the new anime.

The anime isn't bad so far. My only major complaint is that the anime story goes on way too quickly from the beginning of the hunter exam and then suddenly goes a bit too slowly afterwards during the tower test. They even had an entire episode of filler which randomly appeared in the 13th episode which was when Gon and company were stuck in the tower for a couple of days. A minor complaint would be lack of blood the anime had compared to the manga. However, I think things are turning out a lot better in the newer episodes which has much better pacing. So I'm pretty hopeful for the future.

Is it just me, or did the newest chapter seem to be a bit more sketchy and cut-and-paste than usual?

It was also another one of those chapters composed almost entirely of rambling monologue. I understand chapters like this are a cop out to avoid having to draw a lot, but they really hurt the story. If you want to devote an entire chapter to an extremely minor character waxing philosophical about the choices he's made in the past, write a novel. This sort of drawn out, meandering monologue has no place in a visual medium like manga.

Someone want to people remind me what the fuck happened to kaito? I thought he was dead...

A child was found in the remains of the dead queen...

...and the imprint on this child was Kaito, now a little opossum girl.

I see... so, was I just blind when I saw a look-alike for kaito telling kaito Gon was there..? Lost.

I'm looking forward to this chapter. It looks like we finally get a look at Kurapika after 200 chapters.

Chapter is out on mangareader.
Well, Kurapika has a good excuse for being absent. I won't say great, but it's admirable.
I've never seen a chapter so low on script. That was well done.. and i dare say unique too all my manga experiences.

Looks like Togashi is off on another hiatus starting next week. That does not bode well for the anime...

What?! Fuck-dammit, Togashi!!
I've read every chapter up until now (though I skimmed through the whole ant arc) and just when you think the series is about to end...
I swear, I just hope to see most of the loose ends tied up before I die.
Anyway, that's a lot of new bad guys! I guess each of the Zodiacs will be taking on one?
(btw, is it just me or were the boobs were really spilling out this chapter?)
Then again, Hunter X Hunter doesn't always see all of the villains taken down at the end of each arc.
I just want to see Pariston and that Sanji knock-off kicked to the curb.
