Re: X264 to XviD Encoding Guide (for slow computers or standalone players)

Strange, my BS Player can't seem to pull it off, and so I get the audio and a messed up-screen that is static.

As about .MP4 giving me some random lag, it's just that my computer is "so old that it is starting to fossilize". The concept of "new and exciting" is evil.

Re: X264 to XviD Encoding Guide (for slow computers or standalone players)

try this:

Because your computer sucks, you'll need the ultra efficient COREAVC h264 codec for the h264 encoded episodes: Download the codec here: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=BMXVHKUP#
Once installed, go into the FFDSHOW options (look in the start menu under "Combined Community Codec Pack" and then "FFDShow Video Decoder Configuration") and set H264 to disabled.

This might fix your lag problems. You also might wanna try playing around with the settings inside bsplayer. What version do you use?

Re: X264 to XviD Encoding Guide (for slow computers or standalone players)

Ah, this codec solved the lag problems. It's now playing without lag.

As for BS Player, my version is 1.22. I wonder if this is the problem. I really hate WMP...

Re: X264 to XviD Encoding Guide (for slow computers or standalone players)

The difference between my settingsand this picture's settings is that "YV12" is disabled. Is this related to the problem?

As for the "YAMB" program, can it extract a certain part of a .MP4 episode?

Re: X264 to XviD Encoding Guide (for slow computers or standalone players)

It is because starting from One Piece 162 is encoded in x264+AAC and put in MP4 file.

As u have not set the MP4 using WMP dll, it wont appear as episode 1-161.

It is not a problem.

Dont bother about such a icon.

I can even show u something unexpected from your case:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v280/raijinshou/Campur2%20Testing/onepieceicon.png

U see the icon?
Not same as yours right?
It can be made by synchronize the dll of the extensions (.mp4).
Btw dont let it bother you ^^
Eventhough the icon shows Quick Time File, double clicking it will result in playing using Media Player Classic coz I set it as Media Player Classic files ^^

Re: X264 to XviD Encoding Guide (for slow computers or standalone players)

Hi, I'm having trouble converting the audio from AAC to MP3.  Followed the steps but it keep displaying an error:

Error initializing audio stream compression:
The audio codec cannot compress the source audio into desired format.

Check that the sampling rate and number of channels in the source is compatible with the selected source audio format.

I tried but when I opened the Conversion Tab on VDub it looks like this:
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y238/gen_hazzard/no1.png <-- since when did the audio has 6 channels?

I also tried VDubMOD and checked the audio stream. I found something odd. It displays that the audio is in Microsoft PCM format, not AAC:
http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y238/gen_hazzard/no3.png

What's up with this anyway?

I came up with a solution though, converted the MP4 container to an MKV one using mkvmerge, extracted the audio using mkvextract and converted the audio to MP3 using Nero 7. Opened the video using the procedure mentioned in the first page, disabled the original audio stream and replaced it with the converted one.

Re: X264 to XviD Encoding Guide (for slow computers or standalone players)

Errr... Guys... that's way too difficult.
I have a smart little program called Video convert master v6.1, wich can encode mp4 to avi in just one easy step. You have to have the quicktime codec installed though. And I can't get such good quality as I had with the episodes wich were orignally in avi. (good old days... *sob) Sometimes the action scenes get a little pixelated. Even if I make files with 2mbit/sec framerate. Don't know why. But it works easy and quick.
I hate mp4, I hate it with a passion.
Any possibility of someone reposting the mp4 episodes in avi?

Re: X264 to XviD Encoding Guide (for slow computers or standalone players)

Hi guys, sorry for posting a repeated question but I have been unable to fix this.

When I create the .avs file Vdub opens it perfectly, however it doesn't play any audio.

I tried playing the mp4 and the avs in WMP and the mp4 works fine but the avs still has no sound.

I'm using the latest CCCP and have tried uninstalling/reinstalling it.

I ran the avs through Graphedit and it shows no audio stream, just video.
http://i3.tinypic.com/2ajcinm.jpg

But the Mp4 shows a working audio stream

audio=false

delete them.
