Claymore has Finally Become an Anime! Talk All about Claymore here.

Hoping no one made a topic about this,(every time I tried the search function for some reason, the computer fails to load the screen...) I thought I would take the time an tell everyone about it. I've read the magna that has come out about it and love the series, and I'm pretty excited to see it finally become an anime! You can find torrents at the following website:

http://www.animesuki.com/releases.php/c.html

Quick overview, a bunch of creature called Yoma eat the insides of humans, taking the form of the one eaten and their memories so they can it more inards. A secret society develops a way to fight back by combining Yoma flesh into human and the process only works on females, giving them more strength and speed then the Yoma! Known to people outside the organization as Claymores, they take out Yoma for a fee of course and this story follows a Claymore called Claire.

If you haven't checked out the magna, do it, it's great. I will edit my post after seeing the first 2 episodes, in the meantime, all about Claymores here. Now if they would do something with Zombie Powder. . .

Yup, this manga/anime bears a striking resemblance to Berserk, in some ways.

If you like Berserk or Gantz, you will probably like Claymore. (It even has a long manga lineup, however only 7 volumes are scanlated)

What's the art style like? is it like Gantz? coz I love the art in Gantz.

The Anime is very bloody, but I like it, nice vampire feel to the music. I'm gonna enjoy this. The Magna is also good, got up to vol 7, does anyone know if a group is doing scans of it?

eh... no me gusta claymore thus far. i was really excited about the first episode, but after watching the second, it just seemed cliche and like a huge waste of my time.

I'm watching it, but I don't really see what's so great about it. but this is also the same person who didn't enjoy Berserk at all, so I guess it's just a matter of taste.

Anyways, doesn't anything really cool happens later on make it worth continue watching?

I can't say I'm incredibly attached to it at this point either. I really like the animation for it though. I think the story is a bit boring at this point, but has the potential to develop into something I would like a lot. I think I will probably keep watching it even if the story is a bit bland just because the animation is so cool. I’ve been hankering for a good, kind of dark anime for a while now, so I’m crossing my fingers for this one.

True each to their own taste. The next episode will deal with a yoma hiding in a cathedral of all places, for futher down the road, it will go on to Claires past which include a different type of yoma . . . along with some info about the "Claymore" group. I think it will get better, these first 2 episodes have knocked out the first volume of the magna though.

The next arc sorta sucks, but it gets better when it moves to the background story smile

Re: Claymore has Finally Become an Anime! Talk All about Claymore here.

to be honest, i have watched crappier animes thus far *cough*getbackers*/cough*, and figure that it can't hurt that much to give it at least a little more attention. episode three wasn't so bad, not that it was great by far, and ended on a cliffhanger, so i'll probably download 4 when it comes out.

Good enough?

Drawing is all right I guess, just not my cuppa tea, too generic for my liking. That's just my opinion of course, feel free to disagree.

Frankly, I'm disappointed by the anime version of the manga, since it has omitted MANY themes, parcels of information, and character points that were present in the manga. For one thing, Claire was more sadistic and vocal in the manga, which I liked. Needless to say, I'm giving the anime more time to appease me for its downfalls. I liked the art of the series, and loved the setting. Overall I'd say it's somewhere between a 7.7 and an 8.5 on a typical scale of goodness.

Well with that said I'm gonna have to check out the manga then too. hehe

edit: Well the art kinda lacks detail.... oh well I'll hopefully get over it (not as bad as elfen lied haha)

edit again: well I guess the art is detailed... just blank skies tongue

Glad you liked it Vash_

The people on the following link http://mangahelpers.com can point you in the direction of at least some raw scans, but it still seems like a group has yet to pick it up, I hope some one does soon, I like where the magna is going.

That really sucks... so like... how were the 7 volumes done? Seems like they were officially translated then scanned... if that's how it went... how long are the intervals between volumes? I reallly wanna read the rest sad

Unfortunately, the next one is due out in June of this year. The raws are up to 71. I'm sure if a group got together and asked enough times, a group would pick it up, I would like to read futher myself, but I guess I'll just have to wait a bit.

However on a up note, if you go to this site, you can get the open and ending songs for the anime, it also has One Piece and other anime songs of interest. Reg is free.
