Not sure if it was the new script writer mentioned in the commentary or if it was the arc itself, but the dialogue felt so much better in this set. Not that I had much complaints before, but what was presented in this set seemed flawless in terms of representing the original intent of the humor and successfully translating it for American audiences. I was very impressed and I laughed out loud many times during episodes. I just don't remember enjoying the Davy Back fights that much the first time around. From what was said, the new script writer is an original One Piece fan that is well-versed in Japanese and English, so I'd like to think that he is really adding that extra "oomph" in what makes One Piece special.
Another cool thing was hearing the dub voice actors enjoying themselves in the greatness that is One Piece. Always a treat to hear. Especially when you hear these guys already in top form in the dub, despite hiatus.
Only disappointment is that I went through all of the episodes in one sitting and now will have to wait for part 2 to be released. It is available to be reserved on Rightstuf, in case you weren't aware, by the way.

The ending sequence is only in Japanese I believe, but I would need to double check (marthonned through all of the episodes)
Anyways, the set is a vast improvement over Season 3, both in terms of personal taste (never liked the Skypeia arc that much), voice acting (they started dubbing in this arc, so it took a while for them to find their natural rhythm with the characters they voiced), and dialogue.

I am so dissappointed that they had to skip ed 14. It was one of my favorite endings.

Hellz yeah! Really excited to see them cover Enies Lobby (easily, my favorite arc). Plus hearing that Mike McFarland really enjoys working on One Piece (on both commentaries, he has commented how much he prefers OP over any other series he has worked on), I know he will do the arc justice with his direction.

Just take my money now Funi.

I love the water 7/enies lobby arcs. Rob Lucci is one of my favorite, if not my all time favorite villian, so seeing these arc dubbed in english will be a real treat!

Are there subs for opening 5/ending 15 on the dvd seson 4? I heard there is no dub anymore for openings/endings. Is it better without a dub for the openings/endings?

Yeah, as a die-hard One Piece fan, I'm a little disappointed too.
But from a storytelling perspective, Aokiji's introduction was a curveball that blindsided all of us by introducing the first opponent that completely and utterly defeated Luffy as well as providing seeds of doubt involving Robin's motives and Usopp's own perception of his worthiness. Smoker doesn't quite qualify as an unbeatable opponent, even though Luffy couldn't ever fight back, since Luffy was able to escape both times; Aokiji could have smashed Luffy after he froze him, but he opted not to. Aokiji's introduction inserted an undercurrent of worry and danger, that ramped up into the awesome Water 7 and Enies Lobby arcs, and it was completely out of the blue.
Thus, I don't mind his exclusion. For the average viewer who's never seen beyond Funimation's releases, Aokiji will be a surprise presented at the tail end of a set that initially seemed to simply wrap up the Foxy fight and cover a (filler) memory-loss arc. For all of us long-time viewers, I think we can patiently wait until Robin's flashback before possibly getting a good shot of the admiral.
By the way, I concur with the general assessment about the upswing in dialogue quality. The byplay between Sanji and Zoro during the Groggy Ring match felt really fun and natural. I've also really enjoyed Foxy's accent, and afro-Luffy and trainer-Usopp sound hilariously fantastic. (Plus, Sanji feeling his inner funk rising up. Some things just come across better in your native language, though this IS a rather Western concept to begin with.)

For some reason, my account was erased last week, and all my posts, including the ones in this thread, were deleted.
This kind of makes most of the recent discussions in this thread sound like you're hearing only one end of a telephone conversation.
As such, I've decided to repost all the new dub's voice credits I have previously posted here.
For starters, a refresher on the canon Davy Back Fight characters:
Foxy: Jonathan Brooks
- Eligor, Fairy Tail
- Prussia, Hetalia

Tonjit: Bill Flynn
- General Grumman, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

Cherie: Trina Nishimura

- Lily, new dub
Lily is the notable female member of Bellamy's crew.
Itomimizu: Ian Sinclair
- Chuck, Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt

Season 4 Voyage 3 comes out Tuesday, and info on most of the canon characters' voice credits has been revealed.
First off, Franky's VA has been confirmed to be the same one from the Unlimited Adventure video game.
Franky: Patrick Seitz

- Simon Brezhnev, Durarara!!
- Laxus Dreyar, Fairy Tail
- Sloth, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
- Masamori Sumimura, Kekkaishi
- Raido Namiashi, Naruto, Naruto Shippuden
- Kuroobi, new dub
Second, Rob Lucci's VA is also the same one from the game. He and Hattori, for obvious reasons, are voiced by the same person.
Rob Lucci and Hattori: Jason Liebrecht
- Jeice, Dragon Ball Z Kai
However, it seems that most of the other Water 7 characters in the game have different VA's in the series:
Blueno: Mark Fickert
- no notable voice credits
Kaku: Alex Organ
- no notable voice credits
Paulie: David Wald
- Gajeel Redfox, Fairy Tail
And now for the VA's of the other notable characters introduced in this set:

Season 4 Voyage 4 is scheduled for release on March 19, 2013.
A bit longer between releases than it has been for the past few sets.

Wasn't sure where else to put this, but apparently One Piece is going to Toonami, at least according to ANN.
They had always expressed an interest in getting One Piece, now all the Shounen Jump "Big Three" will be there.

I've managed to get Voyage 4 in retail a couple of weeks before its official release.
Now I can confirm that the last of the Water 7 characters in the Unlimited Adventure video game is voiced by a different person in the series.
Spandam: Christopher Smith
- Wonderweiss Margela, Bleach
Also, since this set has Franky's flashback story on it, I should also mention the main characters of that subplot:
Tom: Rob Mungle
- Igaram, new dub
Young Franky: Terri Doty
- Virgo, Fairy Tail
Young Iceberg: Austin Tindle
- Alzack Connell, Fairy Tail
Lastly, two more characters that I forgot to mention before:
Gonbe: Michelle Rojas
- no notable voice credits
Yokozuna: Mike McFarland
- Master Roshi, Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT, Dragon Ball Z Kai
- Jean Havoc, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
- Buggy and Eyelash, new dub

There is now official confirmation about One Piece's return to TV:
http://www.funimation.com/rojas/blog/on … 18/7611279
The show will return to Toonami on May 18 (technically May 19) at 1:00 a.m. EDT. They will be starting from episode 207, the beginning of the Davy Back Fight.
This means the G8 filler arc will not be broadcast at all.

Just bought my copy of Voyage 5 today.
The commentaries on the set are on episodes 255 and 263.
Now, for the voice actors of the major supporting characters in this set:
Jerry: Wilbur Penn
- Sagittarius, Fairy Tail
Corgi: Charlie Campbell
- Wakaba Mine, Fairy Tail
Funkfried: Kenneth Thompson
- no notable voice credits
Sodom: Tyler Walker
- no notable voice credits
Gomorrah: Kyle Phillips
- no notable voice credits
T-Bone: Kenny Green
- Fu, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
- Doc Q and Jango, new dub
Wanze: Josh Grelle
- Komatsu, Toriko
Nero: Todd Haberkorn
- Natsu Dragneel, Fairy Tail
- Ling Yao, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood
- Tsukune Aono, Rosario + Vampire
- Death the Kid, Soul Eater
- Kohza, new dub
My one main gripe about this group of episodes: the dub translates Usopp's alias to Sniper King as opposed to leaving it as Sogeking.
That's going to be kind of awkward much later, when everyone's wanted posters are shown.
In fact, it's actually awkward now, because the subtitles leave "Sogeking" as is, which leaves a sense of inconsistency.
Also, I think Funimation may have used the original TV feeds for these episodes, because the last two in the set are preceded by a contest-like promo.
There was this contest that ran around the time that episodes 262 and 263 originally aired in Japan.
