I could join this RP if you want. I'd like to see your character and the story first though. I can't seem to find those. I might be blind though.

I would love to get an array of original characters not directly related to anyone in the anime/manga, and go pirating in the grand line.

Characters: requirements and how to post

Name: I hope I don’t have to explain this

Age: 15-24 preferably I don’t want anyone acting to infantile or to mature but a little in the middle if you get me. However this shouldn’t be a problem if you want to go older or younger.

Gender: IF you have to ask go die or at least go to another forum.

Race: Human, Merman, Animal, Thing…It?

Role: What does your character bring to the crew exp: cook, musician, doctor, etc...

Weapons: If you can’t figure this one out tie your arms up, go stick your head in a trash can light it on fire and see if you can blow it out believe me society will thank you on your tomb stone…retards.

Weapons are limited in the beginning to 4 short range and 4 long range, anything else must be acquired/bought as this rp plays out.

Devils fruit: Absolutely any kind of fruit you can think of Zoan (animal type) fruit or Paramecian (luffy type) are highly recommended because of their evenly based power. I would also highly suggest steering clear of elemental fruit for they tend to be…well…godlike, without serious weaknesses,. Put it this way if you can be beat my character with little or no effort you don’t qualify. Which brings me to my next order of business…

Natural Abilities: (Martial arts, weapon training, etc…) I find it hard to have a balanced character with a devil fruit and awesome fighting skills but if you can do it more power to you.

Note: I strongly encourage someone to make a chopper like character who was animal and is now more human like. Be creative, remember that is why we rp.

Pets: having a loyal companion to fight with or just follow you around is a great idea as long as you include his history with your character’s.

Motto: optional but encouraged

Appearance/physical specs: When your character looks in the mirror what does he or she see…DUH! If you have the means to draw a picture or have someone draw it for you or get a picture at all it would be appreciated but is 100% optional. Without a picture you are gonna need a lot of detail.

Personality: although most people will probably describe their character’s personality in their background give a brief description

Background: If you don’t understand to find the answer remove your brain with a rusty nail once you get it out you will know.*eye twitch* All kidding, aside devil fruit people now would be the time to tell of how you got it and I want a who, what, when, and where. Straight up weapons or hand to hand fighters I would like to know the training you went through and how your style developed, you know get creative. In order to have a good role play a good in-depth story is necessary a lot of my choice to let you in or not will be based on your story. I will take are crews story once my decision is made, and are characters meet, and try to guide us through a series of events based on our stories kind of how one piece does. With the help of you guys creating the islands or maybe having someone from your characters past show up is going to make these adventures a lot more interesting. Also you might want to leave some kind of blank spot in your story; it doesn’t have to be big but just something that can be used to develop your character more and have the other crew members discover as we travel. Lastly about the stories if you want me as the narrator/Leader to know something the other crew doesn’t send me a PM.

Players:

I am opening this rp to a mixture of characters who will fight party get drunk and get along. It is my personal belief that laughter is the key to youth, so an occasional random something here and there to give everybody a laugh is perfectly fine but no side track sub plotting based on some guy saying, “I like Cheese.” at the beginning of a sentence, or someone picked up a small cute something and squeezing it in her cleavage. This is totally fine, but try to be clever funny not just stupid funny exp: I like cheese so blah blah blah…

Also we are all mature here lets write a story not type a babbling nothing like an 8 year old AD\HD boy on crack.

Misc. I have designed our flag it can be seen on my signature, however I have yet to think of a name at the end of your post if you would like to suggest one I’m all ears.

yes why would you rather me not? I think I will play it out a little different but it is gonna be kinda the same in the beginning.

Name: Zason Okanaki (Z for short) and Alex

Gender: Male

Race: Human

Role: Shipwright, Captain

Age: 20

Motto: In Unity There Is Strength

Pet or partner: Zason works with Alex, a winged cat that is white with red eyes. The cat can transform into any shape of an incredibly durable metal called Supanimus (Latin that roughly means “forged of the soul”). However Alex can only create enough Supanimus to cover 80% of Zason’s body. This makes covering all the human vitals impossible. Although powerful the morphing takes a great deal of concentration to use in secession so depending on how complicated the transformations are both Alex and Zason can become fatigued quickly.(more detail in combat info)

Appearance/Physical specs: Height 6’1, Weight 175lb, Blue hair braided over his shoulder in the pic below. Lightly tanned, slightly muscular but it does not stand out over his loose cloths. He looks almost scrawny from a distance.

Appearance:
Alex has red eyes. The kanji on Zason’s headband is repeated on the back of his jacket it means “In unity there is strength.”

Personality:
Believes in hard work. Zason is only as serious as he has to be. He gets slightly annoyed when girls squeeze Alex between there cleavage. Very silly when amongst friends or a good party, and both he and Alex can be random at times. All and all they just like to fight drink and have fun.

Goal(s): Wants to build a successful crew of friends. To find and beat his brother in a match, and have him join the crew. To rejoin his parents on the grand line and recover one piece with his friends and family.

Pet combo attacks: Note the Limits of there power: Once Alex morphs his body or part of his body into Supanimus he cannot move it on his own. However if he is a single weapon like a katana and the enemy blocks it he can morph into a long axe which would extend past the enemies sword guard. He can not make a throwing knife come out of the Axe unless he turns the axe into throwing knives. When Alex is in pieces like throwing knives he must first return to cat form before changing into something else. Also Alex’s power feeds off himself and Zason’s mental power so even though they have trained the power extensively, to use a complicated maneuver like the axe to knives technique mentioned above, would cause both fighters to become very tired. So I will tell you how much strength my character uses in each attack. Also my character will gain more abilities and evolve new fighting styles so feel free to do the same with yours.

REACTION CHART – after excessive use of his tech’s

God of the metal fist, the tiger’s war cry: A very simple technique used when Alex transforms into one basic piece of equipment(Alex can go up to three without it technically being a piece attack like the axe to knives mentioned above but it does take more energy) of some kind. Like a sword shield axe etc. Once Alex has already morphed into a single weapon, or any variation mentioned above, he can change the weapon in hand to something else. Again this is still limited by the 3 weapon rule I mentioned above. Initial transformation = 1% per weapon. Morphing after that 5% per weapon.

Surprise blade, the cat pounces and rakes: Alex becomes a bladed weapon of any type (sword, axe, spear, knife etc…) that can grow with a thrusting motion outwards, again limited to how much metal is already used to form the current weapon. The weapon, lets say a sword for example extended three feet then grows little katana tips like fangs off the main sword as it is recalled or shortened the mini-swords cut the opponent. Strength used=5% for each growth 5% for each fangs.

Wall of sharp fangs, the cats Teeth bites both ways: Zason hurls Alex at the enemy (holding his tail) 10 ft before impact Alex morphs into an array of throwing weapons leaving the enemy little time to react. For a quick retaliation, assuming the enemy survived the first wave, the tail Zason is holding becomes ultra thin metal wire connected to all the weapons just thrown which Zason can then use for a quick boomerang effect by pulling the strings he makes all the throwing weapons come back towards him. Usually used in attempt to quickly end a fight. Strength used = 25%

The web of rejection, The lion that cant be touched: Alex becomes a web of 5mm thick string that can barely be seen but no ordinary weapon can pass through. A good temporary shield that lets Zason or those he is protecting catch their breath. Another advantage to this is that Alex doesn’t have to transform 100%, to cover Zason he could only transform his tail and block most attacks. Zason can also use this to protect a group by jumping high into the air before deploying Alex’s thread. Strength used = %15

Absolute defense, The cornered beast shows its fangs:When in mortal danger Zason and Alex join minds 100% to cut down on reaction time. Zason ceases to move and enters a meditative state; their minds take roughly 5 seconds to join. Once its done Alex coils himself around Zason’s shoulders, hands, feet, and knees, and a light layer on the chest and upper back (covering his heart). For 1 minute they can move attack and doge without having to make up both their minds. Thought this power is increased by the added metal it takes a great toll. Strength used=100% an absolute last resort after this attack Zason and Alex can’t move for and hour and doesn’t fully recover for 2. There is one variation of this technique, so far, a cat style that puts Zason on all fours.

Background: Zason Okanaki and his brother Jason (3 years older than Zason) were orphans born on an island in west blue called Trade Town. The town was built around a great mountain, and would grant harbor to anyone, peddlers and pirates alike, who swore not to cause trouble. The town was known as a place to trade anything from weapons, cooking ingredients, pretty much any generic goods you can think of. However the most unique thing about the town was its ability to trade knowledge. People would come from all over the world not only to trade but to train in a certain art. There were several doctors, cooks, shipwrights, architects, and a large amount of fighting and weapons masters who offered apprenticeships.
    As soon as Zason was old enough to walk him and his brother set out to find there passion each day they would travel from shops, to bars, to dojos learning as much as they could. As the years went by everyone knew them in town and accepted them like they were part of their family. Jason became very interested in navigation and the art of throwing weapons. Zason was also obsessed with being a shipwright and the art of blacksmithing and excelled at both.
    In the art of combat Zason immersed himself in any kind of martial arts and weapon training he could find. Although this training did include throwing weapons, Zason who was more well rounded in his weapons training never could catch up to Jason’s skills. The two brothers had daily sparing matches but despite his training Zason just barely lost to Jason every time. (Zason’s current score is 800 losses 1 draw and 0 wins) However when they weren’t training hard to master something, their favorite pass time was working at the local bar, the Druk’in Roger.
    Not only could they earn some extra money but they also loved listening to the pirate’s stories of their great battles on the high seas. One day a captain and some of his pirate crew came wandering in late at night while Zason and Jason were working. The man and his crew looked beet up and sad. However after a couple glasses of rum they cheered up. Finally the pirate told them what happened. With a big smile on his face he said,
    “We attacked a pirate ship whose total bounty was worth 100,000,000! It was our mistake and they gave us a good fight. At least they were generous enough to let us keep are ship, its flag and the food, but they took all our gold.” Still smiling he said,
    “Ah well you win some you lose some.”
     In the midst of the great drunken laughter someone asked what these pirates’ names were.
    “Surely such a powerful group would be known throughout the seas.”  The captain turned in his stool and announced, “They called themselves the Okanaki couple they co captain a vessel they call the love boat. Funny name the love pirates, but everyone on there ship is either girlfriend and boyfriend or married.”
    At the sound of their name the two brothers both slammed the glasses they were cleaning on the bar, both wore grim faces. The whole bar grew silent, as everyone stared at the brothers afraid to disrupt the tension in the air. Suddenly they grabbed the biggest bottle of sake off the wall of the bar and poured a glass for everyone present. Finally they picked up two glasses on the end still grim faced. As they raised them into the air they shouted A ROUND ON US! Everyone ran to grab a glass and a great KAMPIA was sounded as laughing and song erupted in the bar.
As the night grew old the boys (a bit tipsy) stood on the bar retelling their story about not knowing their parents.
    The boys rejoiced and continued to develop their skills with a new passion. At sixteen Jason left the town of TRADE with a band of pirates called the Heavy Back pirates known for their size. When he did he gave Zason the bandana and jacket that he covets even to this day. Jason told him that day,
    “However far apart we may be we are still brothers and more importantly friends, with the strongest of ties. With a bond of friendship two, three, even a million people can never disconnect.” Zason almost in tears shouted,
    “Take me with you!”
    “No! You find your own crew and come after me some day.” As he watched his brothers ship sail off Zason shouted,
    “I’m going to beat you one day!” His brother shouted back,
    “When you do I’ll join your crew without a second thought. Smiling and waving his hand he faded into the distance.”
    Zason then went to the forbidden mountain that TRADE town surrounded. He went their seeking to accomplish more than his brother. The legends of trade town told of a special ore found in the mountain that would divide a person’s soul in two while giving them great power. It was said that 25 years before Zason went up the greatest black smith TRADE town had ever seen, Kamikura, went up seeking the metal, and never came back. Kamikura’s apprentice was the man who ended up training Zason. Zason went to the mountain and found cave drawings that marked Kamikura’s progress. Each day he mined ore and forged it into things to hone his skills while searching for the sacred metal.
    At the heart of the mountain Zason found a forge built by Kamikura himself. So form the age of 13 to the age of 16 he would mine the ore in the mountain and forge it into different things each day perfecting his skill just a bit more. Each week he would come down the mountain to sell his creations to the town militia, buy food, and learn the world’s news. Then one day on his 16th birth day he was visiting the town bar for his birthday when a man burst through the door. Once the man caught his breath he held up a wanted poster. The wanted poster read

DEAD OR ALIVE:

The bar got very quiet. Zason stood grabbed the wanted poster and ran as fast as he could to the mountain only stopping for his extra supply of food. For three weeks he worked non-stop his brother’s poster hung over his forge spurring him to work at super human speed. Finally on day 4 of week 3 something odd happened. On his daily mining run Zason drove his pick into an oddly colored earth wall witch crumbled instantly beneath the weight of his pick. There he stood wide eyed as he beheld an ore that glowed bright red in its small alcove. Stepping forward Zason removed the ore from its hollow in the rock and set out for his forge. Is this the metal of legend he thought.
    Back at his forge he placed the ore in the fire to get hot while he ate a quick snack. Then he placed the rock upon his anvil and took aim. With the first strike of his hammer he saw the memory of his birth flash through his mind. As he continued to hammer he felt little by little his memories sifting through his mind, as if draining him of his identity. He felt as if all his ambition, all his desires; all his dreams were manifesting themselves in this stone. Once again with great force he brought his hammer down on the stone only to feel pain in his side as if he had somehow struck himself. He stumbled backwards and watched as the stone began to shape it self. It twisted turned and spiraled itself and finally settled in the form of a metal cat. Zason felt his body move on its own as he lunged forward and grabbed the piece of mettle off the anvil still red hot from the forge. For some reason he held it close to his chest and fell asleep crying and saying, “I’m sorry.”
     The next morning he awoke to find a little white cat with red eyes and wings perched on his anvil.
    “Well hello there and where did you come from.” He asked half to himself. The cat smiling and licking his paw said,
    “Hi, my name’s Alex and I came from you.” Recoiling in surprise Zason exclaimed,
    “You can talk?”
    “Of course silly.” The strange cat said as he giggled a little, still licking his paw. When he was finally finished being surprised Zason spoke again.
    “Well I hate to be rude but you see I have to get back to wor-.” The cat cut him off and said,
    “I know, because you’re searching for the ore that grants power.” Again surprised Zason said,
    “Yes and I need to get back to looking so I can be-.” Again the cat cut him off.
    “To be better than your brother, I know.” the cat said liking his paw. Zason at that moment felt a sharp pain on his chest. Looking down at his chest he saw a little cat paw shaped scar. Suddenly all the memory came back to him as if he had just been hit with a hammer. His head reeled and his vision tunneled, as the flood of memories came flying back from the night before.
    How he had come by the stone how he had hammered it and cried himself to sleep. Then he felt as if he was separated from his body and he saw through some one else’s eyes. He saw himself asleep fresh tears on his face. He then felt his little body wriggle free of his tight grip, fly to the anvil, lie down and fall asleep. Suddenly a wrecking ball of realization struck Zason. The metal didn’t split your soul it copied it. This cat was a mirror image of himself. For the next 2 days he experimented with the connection he had with Alex and his morphing ability.
    The next day he emerged from his solitude and looked into the light for the first time in 3 weeks. He then proceeded to the base of the mountain and built a small one man boat, and carried it to the harbor (THAT’S RIGHT I SAID CARRIED). He then went door to door thanking everyone in the town for all they had done. After that he went to a seamstress and got his flag made. He then spent one night at an inn and the next day he sailed away to find a crew. It was time to train his new power and find some followers.
    Today he is now 19 he has sent several invitations to some interesting people he met on other islands. (That would be the people I choose to start off this rp) He has now returned to his home island and has given his invitees 2 days to meet him there.

Jeezum crow!  That's a freakishly long post . . . even for you.  I was kind of depressed when the Rulers of the Wave Chronicles died about a year back, but I'm definitely in this time (although I don't know how addicted to crack I can be this time around).  Anyways, I'm submitting my character again, because I liked working with him.  By the way, here's some 3-D artists renderings of TradeTown that I made last time around: http://s79.photobucket.com/albums/j123/ … ownTop.jpg

Name: Meijin "Triviamaster" Trivalu

Role: Jack of all Trades, First Mate

Motto: "When in doubt, think it out!"

Combat/devil fruit/Pets/Style: Weapons: Two shotguns held by holsters on his back and a longsword also sheathed on his back.  From the back, his weapons should look like * (an asterisk (the shotguns make the X and the sword is right down the middle)).  He also carries two throwing knives (one strapped to each leg).  Pet: Amazon parrot named "Quiz".  Style: Basic hand-to-hand combat with mid-range skills with his shotgun.

Appearance/Physical specs: Height: 6 ft. 1 in.  Weight: 210 lbs.  Appearance: Meijin is of muscular build and light skin.  His hair is black, medium length and curly.  He wears a black bandana on his forehead to keep his hair out of his eyes.  He wears sandals on his feet that strap up to his knee.  A black, form fitting T-Shirt and black shorts are worn underneath a white trenchcoat with a hood.  He wears his prized possesion, a pair of sunglasses that are held on his face by pinching his nose, at all times, even at night.  Therefore, very few have seen his unusual eye color (red).  An amazon type of parrot adorns his left shoulder.  He wears an armband with his previous pirate crew's mark on his right arm.

Background: Meijin is probably the smartest person you'll ever know, and a jack of all trades.  Ever since he was a boy, Meijin's father has challenged him to know everything that there was to know.  Every day would be another chance to learn something new.  As a result, Meijin's mind is like a steel trap, but he only seems to bring up the most pointless facts.  At one point, he had a pirate crew of his own and gained the nickname "Captain Random" from his recollection of random facts about random things.   Around this time he joined COTTT and gained the nickname "Triviamaster."  After his crew mutinied and abandoned him on a deserted island, where he befriended an amazon type parrot.  Meijin built a raft and eventually made it back to his home town.  When he arrived back home, he enlisted the teaching of an old and wise shipwright to teach him how to build and repair his own ships.  Around this time, Meijin's father was on his deathbed.  As his father was passing away, Meijin recieved a sketchbook and a journal as his father gave Meijin a dying wish, "I wasn't able to figure out some of the mysteries of this world, so in my place I would like you to do this one thing for me: Become the smartest man in the world.  Travel the globe and use the journal and sketchbook to document things which no man has ever seen."  Now Meijin travels from island to island in his boat that he crafted to learn all that there is to know in the world.

Combos/specials/Devil fruit attacks/pet combo attacks: Sometimes in dire situations, he will load his throwing knives into his shotgun and use them as ammo.  I'm still in the development phase for this part of my character.

Personality: Unique and always quick with his wit.  His humor might be a little bit above people's heads, but when you get the joke, it's funny as all get out.  Very helpful and always looking for something to do (even if he doesn't finish what he's started).  He's always looking for new adventures and places to expand his knowledge of the world.  Meijin takes a little time to get to know; but once you know him, it will be a quality friendship.

Goals: To learn everything in the world and to take care of some unfinished business . . .

Name: Jerome Tou
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Role: Doctor
Age: 31
Motto: ''There is no 'I' in team... But there is one in traitor!'' (don't worry, he's not gonna betray you )


Combat/devil fruit/Pets/Style: Weapon: A spear that Jerome named ''Meimei''. You can find a picture of it in the appearance part.
Combat style: Jerome doesn't really have one as he much rather runs away than fights, mostly because he knows he's not strong, doesn't want to kill people and he doesn't want to ''ruin Meimei's dress''. But if he would have to stand back and fight, he would stab people with his spear. It makes him very vulnerable for hits though.


Appearance: Height: 6' 7''. Weight: 172 lbs. Jerome is really tall and skinny but has a bit wider shoulder/chest area. His hair is gray (and defies gravity) but his eyebrows and goatee are black. Jerome's eyes are light blue and his skin is pale. He wears a blue jacket and brown-ish pants with black leather boots. He also has some belts and a small pouch is attached to one of 'em. He has some bandages and painkillers stored inside it.
I was bored and drew a picture so you'd know how he looks like, 'cause I suck at explaining this kind of things. Beware, I can't draw.

Background: Jerome was born into a rich family. He never knew his mother and no one never even talked about her. Jerome's father was a strict man and wanted his son to become a famous doctor, someone who he could be proud of. This of course was not okay for Jerome, who didn't want someone else to choose his fate. They both had a fiery temperament so this lead them into numerous of fights, but rarely a physical one. At last, Jerome was forced to learn how to treat sick people, but he never liked it. He hated it. He hated it and his father. How he wished him to die.

Years later Jerome was reading some medical books his father forced him to read. He had already learned alot, but he still didn't like it nor his father. Suddenly he could hear a scream. It was his father's for sure and it came from his room too. Jerome stood up and ran to his father's room, only to find him laying on the ground, with blood all over the place. Jerome tried to call his name and walked next to his father, only to find him dead. Something sharp had penetrated his heart. The young man was shocked and didn't really know how to react. He could see a bloody spear next to his father's body. Jerome was confused and picked the spear up without really thinking. The spear was light and easy for him to pick up. Suddenly some villagers burst into the room. They had probably heard the scream aswell. They were staring at the confused Jerome. That's when Jerome started to think. He was standing next to his father's body, a bloody spear in his hand and he always said how he wanted his father to die. He knew that everyone thought he had done it. Scared, Jerome jumped out of the window and ran away as fast as he could still holding the spear. He was 18 years that day.

The following years Jerome spent hiding and sailing from island to island with sailors. He was so sure that someone was after him and he didn't want to get caught. He could never settle up anywhere so he got really lonely. He started treating his spear as a living being and named her Meimei. As he grew older, he wanted to find some answers. What happened that one night? Who killed his father? Where did Meimei come from? Someone had to know, and Jerome was going to find out who.


Combos/specials/Devil fruit attacks/pet combo attacks: Jerome is still training how to use his spear and doesn't have any special attacks right now.


Personality: Even though Jerome is pretty old and has an angsty past, he doesn't really show it. He's not mature and he's not sad. You could best descripe him as a snobby child. He's not evil though, and probably deep inside him he has a golden heart he doesn't anyone want to know about. He is always ready to have some fun with his friends, if he is able to get some. He seems to be nicer towards women as he thinks that every guy is like his father. Even though Jerome is a doctor, he does not like to treat anyone who is sick or hurt. But if you are his friend and you are hurt, he will do it because he finds it to be his job. He will mock you because you got hurt and how he has to take care of everything, but maybe that's just his way of saying that he cares about you. Maybe. Jerome won't accept anyone killing people and he's not going to do it himself either. He doesn't like to fight either and is used to run away. And he's pretty good at that. Jerome really likes to drink tea so you will usually calm him down by offering him some. He is also scared of pudding. Why? No one knows.

Goals: Jerome wants to know where his spear came from and who killed his father. Someone has to know and Jerome is going to find that person.

Thanks Zara. I'll hope this will be a good RP! And of course I read your background story, I was really interested in Alex and how you got him. And stuff. Zason reminds me of Luffy somehow, not in a bad way though.

Really I would like to see where your char is from. Please send me a link or something that I can read about the original character. Although it looks like you modified the story nicely, and I like most of what I see under his background. That is a GREAT idea but you and me are gonna have to communicate via email or PM and sync up our stories because my character would know your character unless:

1. He was born less than three and a half years ago from the present day the RP starts (thats when Zason left)

2. He was born more than 20 years ago and left (before Zason was born)

3. He was chained in his parents basement for his whole life. (<- Look at me being funny)
