They return the 100 million, but it's not them paying back 100 million. They still owe however much they still owe. It'll be like they never had the jewel in the first place. Imagine owing a friend 5 bucks, then they give you 20 dollars, then they take away the 20 dollars. You still owe them the 5 bucks.

Yea, I understand that. But from the first round, everyone already paid back their 100 million, and got to keep whatever surplus amount they obtained. From that point, all the winners don't owe anything to the corporation correct? As they move into the second round, they couldn't possibly have gotten a new debt; that just doesn't make sense. Those 22 then received a nametag with the jewel valued at 100 million. At that point, they have a debt of 100 million, in the form of that jewel. If they lose, they have to pay back 100 million which is the same as turning in the jewel right?

no the jewels go towards the winner of the second round while you have to pay a 100mil debt

that is a terrible game.

I do have to admit it was poorly explained, but I'm willing to overlook that kind of thing for the sake of the bigger story. Unfortunately that is also stinking.

Since the previous chapter this outcome was totally predictable. Needless to say Hitomi was just had since it will end in a tie, and she revealed all she had, full of herself.
Latest chapters have been very disappointing plot-wise. I hope that changes soon.

Chapter 14 is up on Onemanga.
So, yeah, lets get the Foolio/P_T Complain Train Express rolling.

Actually, I quite like how that played out. It would have been complete bull if Mr. X and Akiyama wound up in the last round together by chance.
I didn't see it coming either.

So, out of curiosity, for those who've read up to the most recent chapter, would you think this is a worthwhile series to follow? I have so many longer series' on my plate that it often gets difficult to tack on new ones...but the premise is fairly interesting....

Well... Its the only Manga I follow, so I wouldn't know. I used to follow Fairy Tail, but I got lazy.
I find it quite enjoyable, for a manga. I probably wouldn't reccomend it over some of the manga of some of my favorite anime, especially if the 'manga is better' cliche is true.

Which it is.

15 is out.
I don't understand why Akiyama would tell his strategy to the others. But then again, knowing him, thats not his real strategy.

He's telling them his stratagy because it wouldn't really work if he didn't. He has to show his answer to the question to disrupt their own choices. They can no longer guess and hope for the best now that they have a piece of the puzzle. In this type of game no information is better than imperfect information. By placing the extra doubt in their minds he forces them to make a mistake. The only way they can beat him is if they ally with the girl that tricked them. In the end it is the deal that they made with her and their teammates that means they can't make a deal cause there wouldn't eb enough money for the contracts. Though if everyone just wanted out there is enough money for that. With an extra 100 million to be divided among 21 people. Even the transvestive gets out scott free if she loses. Of course that is an unliekly occurance.

16 out.
First time ever I actually don't see the next chapter coming a mile off. If it is good.... I will truly like this manga.
My initial idea was he was using someone elses paper but I checked back and it was his own number. Any ideas?

Even if he had somehow voted 'Yes' insted of 'No', that would only mean #15 is guarenteed victory.
Unless his plan was to make the round a draw, I have no idea what he's up to.

I think that Akiyama is working together with 15. Then 15 votes 'Yes' as well and Akiyama will win. And then Akiyama will continue to the next round, just like what 15 said he was going to do. That way he can pay for the extra people to get out.

We have a winner!!!!
Chapter 17 was just released and pretty much verbatim to what Vari said is exactly what happened.

Its like he knew.
But in any case, I'm looking forward to the next round.
Though, I'm not too sure how Nao is still going to be a major character anymore.

Offline
Damn, that was one of the only logical outcome, that 15 would vote 'yes' for some reason.
(The other where votes are 2 - 2)
I was hoping it would be something more complex, something deep.

That eyecatch of the guy who dressed up as a chick in dominatrix clothing was quite unnessisary though.

I wholeheartedly agree. Not needed at all, and man that chick is really really idiotic. Going into another round? Jeez.

geez, can't believe she's involving herself in the game again, that's real smart. She's trying to help someone that usually helps her.
