I believe he's a transvestite post-op. Anyway, I didn't mind. Didn't care any more or less
/isnothomophobic.
anyway, I also can't believe how easy it was to get her back in the game. I swear, this Nao character is really unbelievably stupid and that look into Akiyama's past, while slightly enlightening wasn't anything too special. The only thing I'm looking forward to in this round is seeing how Nao can get herself further into the Liar Game without Akiyama's help.

actually, returning was the smartest thing to do, because he said she had a 100% chance of success, if she loses then that means that he, a member of the LGT staff or whatever, was dishonest and she gets to collect on the huge reward that was mentioned earlier

Wasn't that only featured in the second game? Anyway, I highly doubt Nao can actually use that as an attack seeing as how she most likely didn't record it via video or audio and would then have no proof that he said anything like that. It would be her word against his if they even use this. Also, if that little exploit were to be used, it would be Akiyama who would be able to notice and catch it, definately not Nao.

i agree. but i don't think i'll continue reading this manga. static characters don't really appeal to me, and neither does the story, at this point.
i recommend bio-meat. read all 54 chapters in a couple of days. good stuff.

I don't trust that guy. I wouldn't be surprised if he made up that story about Akiyama to trick Nao into coming back to the game.

Seriously, if I were in Nao's place I would give the guy a big "fuck you" sign and tell him to get the hell out my place.

19 is out.
I quite like this new game, but I'm sure in the tradition of this thread there will be at least three people telling me the storyline still sucks.

yep, that seems to be the trend, though i like it. for all you who dont like it, please just stop reading it and let the rest of us enjoy it

Hehe, I don't mind. The plot twists were weak in the last round (OMG!!!! Someone lied in the liar game? how can this be?) but I still find it somewhat entertaining. The thing that I want to see the most is how Nao will get out of this one by herself, though I believe that she's going to find an ally of convenience in the transvestite since she seems to be the second smartest person in this game, at least that's how it seems with Akiyama being the first.

This looks like it could be a pretty interesting round. I hope that Akiyama doesn't get involved this round. It would be a nice change of pace if Nao got through it without his help. I would like it if he managed to track her down but not make it there until the game had ended.
I'm thinking one of the biggest selling items is going to be votes on the L tickets.

Oh my god, once again I have called it! Fukunaga and Nao are teamed up in this round. Clearly, Nao is just too dumb and naive to do anything on her own. She needs someone with balls, and in this case even metaphorically, to guide her through the rounds. I just hope that towards the end of all of this, Nao learns to be dishonest, or at least use her naive and trusting nature somehow against her opponent, which I actually hope will end up being Akiyama.

I just caught up with this manga. It's a lot of fun. I doubt Akiyama won't get involved though. He'll probably show up and help her out. Is it only released monthly though, that sucks.
Chapter 21 is up at Onemanga now...I totally saw that coming.

I did after reading the most recent chapter and watch her throw away more money. Akiyama may have come to finish her off, you never know....

new chapter out on one manga, it's pretty good. you know, i know everyone here hates nao, but that's only because her personality doesn't go well with the what everyone's trying to do, hell, her type of personality is the kind that thrives in harem animes and the like, i mean come on, would it really be half as interesting if nao had akiyama's skills and everything?

True, but they are yet to explain where Fukunaga is getting his 5 votes every round, and how he got 10 in the first round (5 from Nao). It logically points to the fact that he is voting for himself which is against the rules.
5 votes were distributed each round amongst the other contestants. This must be Nao voting because she wouldn't vote for the person who has betrayed her.
Maybe this is how he will be beaten? Nao now has 10 points (providing it's on a promise ticket), and Fukunaga will have 55 points at the end but 50 will be revoked?

I still read this because I wanna see to what extent can Akiyama's skills get. For example turning the tables in this seemingly lost game for Nao.

Nao did a fair bit of acting in that last chapter...perhaps she's not THAT useless?

'ello there mates, just had a quick question. Since Liar Game started at the year of 2005 (and still ongoing) I was wondering why it hasn't been animated yet. Any reason? Does anybody know when it will start getting animated?
(I didnt really read through this thread since I don't like spoiling anything in Liar Game for myself, so sorry if it has been brought up before)
Offline
it hasn't been animated cause they chose to do a live action version instead, the person who played misa in the DN movies played nao.

So it won't be animated at all? =/

It's only 24 chapters in. They can't animate it so early.(Can't imagine Liar Game fillers)

actually i think it's further than that, the translator are just behind.
