1. No not at the moment. There is a 2nd Qtr release but no solid date.
2.Well, that would be a matter of personal opinion. I personally enjoy Tekken 5, Ratchet and Clank Future, and Madden on mine. Im currently waiting on BurnOut Paradise.

You also miss the fact that PS2 and ps3 has backwards compadibility.

And Nes/snes can be played on emulators, PSP if you cant afford it thats your problem, mgs remake on gamecube: either play it at a friends house that has it, or buy it+ Wii or a used gamecube.

If you get pissed up because you cant "fully enjoy" all your favorites games, thats your problem.

I agree with Ratchet and Clank. an amazing game if you are into platforming games. if you dont have this game, get Call of Duty 4. its an FPS thats very solid. realistic, fast paced, and hectic gameplay.

@Slackbeard: Unreal Tournament III is sweet as far as online shooters go, GT5: Prologue is a badass game too.

I've been eyeing Folklore myself.  Was looking @ Orange Box also, but between UTIII, CoD4 and Warhawk, I'm about shootered-out.

If you have broadband, Ratchet, Folklore, and crap all have demos on PSN you can check out first.

Thanks for the advice, I ended up getting Uncharted and it's not bad at all. I also asked about MGS4 at the local store, and they told me that they were expecting the game for the 14th of March apparently...

Probably because im a diehard fantasy/relegion/ancient stuff nut and norse mythology is one of my favorites . Prototype looks like a must-have, street fighter 4 just seems like a pimped SF2 Turbo deluxe EX edition, unless they can bring in some major game inovations im not to keen on that one and just keep playing my Sf2 on my snes from time to time I might rent it tho.

January 10, 2008 - One of the biggest questions for PS3 action fans has been when Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots will finally come out. With the title pushed late last year to Q2 2008, Snake fans weren't sure if the game would actually come out at that time, or if it would suffer a further delay. Well, according to Shack News, on the latest Kojima Productions Report podcast, Assistant Producer Ryan Payton announced that the game is in its "last push." He further confirmed that the game is fully playable and is currently about to go through extensive bug testing.

"Mr. Kojima of all people is really committed to [the date] because he really hates to disappoint people, and I know he is embarrassed by what happened with the 2007 slip into 2008," said Payton. Some features may be added, but "for the majority of the team, this is the end."

This bodes well for the title coming out during the projected Q2 2008 window by Konami of Japan, and Payton mentioned within the podcast that a near-simultaneous release is planned for the game, with most territories receiving the game within days of each other. Upcoming details on the release date, contents of the game, and other details were not available. Similarly, answering questions about MGS4 going to the Xbox 360 weren't answered in the podcast, although Payton alluded to an "emergence day" similar to that of Gears of War.

We tried to contact Konami of America for comment, but were unable to receive a statement from them at the time this piece was published. Rest assured, though, that we'll have any additional information as soon as it becomes available.

I'm a victim to this/a similar problem as well - I never had a PS2 and now that I've got a PS3 I'm rather miffed that they dropped the backwards compatibility. I've missed out on such games as God of War and Kingdom Hearts. Although one solution that I've yet to try, is simply to install a PS2 emulator on my computer. True, PS2s are cheap as chips now days, but it's another console and another powerpoint and more cables and more mess and more money on games and la dida dida...

To be honest, I've never played any of the street fighters (been more of a tekken person) other that the occasional StreetFighter vs X-Men at the arcade. So I've got much to look forward to. Although I gotta say I'm much more excited about prototype.

Damn it. Feb 8th DMC4 and Feb 10th Brawl.
