BUT, with The Hulk and Iron Man this summer about to do big business, it seems like if they really made a team-up, it would make such a ridiculous amount of money and would easily get into the top 5 grossing movies of all time, imo. Possibly No.1. Plus, it would be great just to see all these heroes on the same screen. In the comics, they share the same universe, but so far, in the movies, they've kept them separated.
They key would be to use the most succesful movie characters, like Spiderman(Tobey Maguire), Iron Man(Robert Downey Jr.), The Hulk(Edward Norton)*, Wolverine(Hugh Jackman)...etc, and put them all in the same movie. Marvel Team-Ups were usually just two heroes(groups), but a few more would make it more spectacular.
Personally, I thought the Fantastic Four movies were terrible, but it would be hard not to include them. And we certainly don't need Daredevil(one of the worst actors) or The Punisher(one of the worst movies ever made...oh, forgot Howard The Duck).
And it might be a good chance to debut a new character, like Thor or Captain America or The Avengers.
Anyway, I'd love to see something like this, and they could make a mountain of cash. Everybody wins.
* The new Hulk is still unproven, but Norton definitely has the acting chops, and The Hulk rocks.

If you stayed after the credits in the Iron Man movie, then you'll know that an Avengers movie is very likely.

lmao! Nice one.
I swear, making a Captain America movie (or in a movie for that matter) would be the biggest possible mistake anyone could make in this day and age.
I'm not sure about your mountain of cash theory either. Spiderman 3 broke some box office records (i think) yet AVP is a complete farce. When you just do the one character, it has widespread appeal to pretty much anyone. You start doing the verses or teams ups and while the comic nerd fanbase hyperventilate (and the severely cirtisie it after seeing the 12:00 midnight first screening
), everyone else just goes "bah, what a cheap excuse to make money. Wont be seeing THAT!".
Straight to DVD.
Which is probably why it will never happen - your not gonna get Hugh Jackman AND Tobey Maguire AND Eward Norton (etc.) in on something like that - you'ld be lucky to get one.

That's why I said you need all of them for it to be successful. Also, they'd need a decent story and a good director. Yeah, if they make a crap version, it won't make money. AVP didn't exactly have James Cameron directing.

Iron Man doesn't come out here till Sept. Anyway, "like" any of those characters. Just to debut something new.

That was more of a general 'you', but yeah.
Also, I heard something about both a Captain America and a Thor movie eventually.

Aww, thats bad news.
@Crossbones: Mmm, I'm still not convinced that even having all of them will make for a success. Team-ups and verses generally have a bad stigma. And then if the actors you know and love go in on it, well, its Antiono Bandares in Spy Kids all over again...![]()
And on the other hand, if you don't get them, then it would never match up to the real ones. So either way you can't win! ![]()
I think for any sort of success, it would need to be 'sold' on the basis of a good story, not "hey! we've got spiderman! and we've got Hulk! and We've got Iron man! Everything must go!!", would be very hard to hide, even with a good story line. Also you have to get a good, proper director. As in, closer to Ang Less than Brett Ratner. Otherwise you might as well reserve the spot on you DVD shelf next to Fantastic 4: Silver Surfer now.

Maybe they will make a Civil War-like movie in about 30 years from now. But then again, I don't think they will... Would be cool though

I haven't seen ANY of Iron Man. Damn, crazy Japanese marketing. But if you see a possibility, then that's good. Even though I can't stand cams, it might come to that. I ain't waitin' til September. Screw that.
Anyway, some kind of crossover, at least, would be cool. I see Power Man and Iron Fist guesting in the next Spiderman. ![]()

well depending on who the cast as Captain America and/or Thor the only big name stars would be Ed Norton and Samuel Jackson. Unless in the new hulk movie he is able to learn to control his hulkness (for lack of a better term) he would have to stay as Bruce Banner as the majority of the movie. Tony Stark doesn't need to be in this movie at all. so unless Downey does the voice there really isn't a need to have him in it save a small cameo at the beginning or end.
oh chances are the movie would probably be named The Ultimates.

Well thing is, you have to watch until AFTER the end credit before you can see some possibilities. Not sure if people will cam the whole movie until the credit's finished.
Mind you, it's only a possibility, I'm not sure they have enough budget to make this possibility as good as Ironman is. Something's gotta give, either the story, actors or visual effects WILL suffer if they choose to do it. We all seen Spidey 3 with several villains.

I'm just psyched over the fact that they ever even CONSIDERED a Deadpool movie.
Plus i heard he's going to be in the Wolverine movie (though wouldn't Wade be too young to be in Logan's past?)

Oh yeah... Ryan Reynolds gonna rawk as deadpool!!

The Avengers has been announced but not much else has gone one with it. Marvel Enterprises has announced quite a few super hero movies that should make the next few years fun.

Aww, thats a shame. They might as well just call it "The adventures of propaganda man!!".

Well, atleast you're prepared to watch Iron Man till the credits xD

Yes, now I've got the heads-up. After the credits, Hawkeye drops in and says, "Yo Iron Man, Red Skull is on the loose! Let's "team up" ....in the next movie!" Right? Right?!?!

Or perhaps the title will be "Captain America vs. Mr Cynical!" Cap wouldn't stand a chance.
Dooon't worry, it'll probably be so PC, there'll be more moral equivalence than you can shake a stick at.

Just have it take place in the cold war and make him fight the commies.
If there's one thing the US universally hates and doesn't care about being PC on, it's communism.

Yea, I'm not a big fan of Cap too. Extreme patriotism aside, he's just an outdated character. Star spangled banner may look good on a flagpole but not as a costume. Then there's his shield... which looks more like a bullseye target.

Or Nazis!
Nazis are always a good bash target.

Cap comic was originally from WWII anyway. One of the main villain was called the Red Baron IIRC.
