Ohhhh i can't wait to get started on this one ^^
At first i was like: Meh i never really liked disturbing animes.. plus it has sex and almost rapings.. i really ain't gonna like it.
then i started watching and at episode 3 i was getting tortured.. poor onion alien :'( i still feel sorry for him... i HATED the anime at that moment. i knew that and thought to myself "why am i still watching it if i hate it?!"

then i kept watching and at a certain point i was like: ok i'm addicted, i can't stop watching.

so why did i get myself addicted?

after watching the 26 episodes i gave it a little thought on why i liked:

- the Animation. sometimes it gets almost real the way the.. i dunno hair is flowing while they are jumping.. the way they draw some of the body things so real...

- the Randomness. Gantz it's those kind of animes that you never know who's going to die, or when he's going to die. i think that's why i started watching it. i was tired of previsible animes like "omg he's almost dying... he's going to die!!" "what am i talking about -.-' they always win.."
so for a little change that's good.

- the Opening Song. and the background music itself. the opening is so.. fast paced xD i just love it! and all the.. how do you call it? "Climax Music"? when they get to that part and gets really intense with a good music.. it's beautiful.

- the way people think. in those kind of situations you can really distinguish between characters pretty well, you see how they are perfectly. i HATED THAT DAMN KEI at first. and i STILL HATE HIM. but he grew up with all that. which in a way it makes you think like him.. argh i hate him. that was another thing that let me get through the anime... you start by going all freaked out but then start to get used to it.. all the deaths and such.. which FREAKS ME OUT EVEN MORE!! .. and that kei bastard copycatted me. even my words. i hate him. but he's cool. (remembered this in the last minute)


well that's.. pretty much it i guess. if i remember something more i'll edit this post. first review also so i hope i get someone watching the anime x). im currently on chapter 119.. and i don't really like manga see ya later everyone.

poor onion kid... i really got traumatized

Just read the latest chapter so dont read beyond this point if your not caught up cuz it will be spoilerific.

Oka the guy who cleared the game like 7 times got owned hard.  Guess thats what he gets for pussing out and trying to run away when the fight got too hard.  Cant wait to hear what the alien has to say about the question kato asked.  Might acctually shed some light on something for the first time in oh say 50 chapters if not more.  Hope the telepathy guys survive (cant remember if they are dead from overuse of their power or dying) as well as the sex crazed guy.  Seeing that scene where he gets eaten by a huge amount of vag and boobs was totally epic.  Though in retrospect that would make him gay as the alien is a dude in his true form.  Kinda wrong......really kinda wrong.

And those abridged gantz episodes were awesome. Watched em all and laughed a ton.  Thanks for the link UraRenge!

Ultimate if you dont like violence/random mega-ecchiness or are easily disturbed then your probably looking at the wrong manga.  And ya after watching/readying this manga/anime ive grown a fear of sping onions and chickens as well as massive legions of mutating vampires. One of the greatest things about gantz is that you never know what to expect.  I mean you're never guaranteed that the main characters are going to survive.  I really liked Kei the whole way through since he was like the only character developped with common sense. I absolutely dispise Kato and still do since he, as the gantz abridged series said, has the personality of a wet towel.....a beige towel. I dont know why you hate Kei so much but hes a very nicely developped character with some of the only features that stick out.

Sure, it sounds like it'll be awesome. But seriously... Again?!
I'm getting sick of this arc and want to see them back in their own city...

ok i got up to the most recent chapter in 2 days.. starting from when the anime left out of course. i was kinda skeptic (or whatever it's spelled xD) about the aliens being so weak lately but those last 3 are starting to make up for the rest. even the vampires had trouble with those assface samurai .. i wonder how much they were worth? and that statue from the 3rd game as well .. who killed most of the original team. you know .. kishimoto.. katou..

anyway for some reason i don't think that they'll get that alien just like this. i think they'll get closer to killing him but not kill him right now. i hate how the 7 hundred pointer died out just like that ;_; he was cool

I'm now in the ending of Nuarihyon arc....But I aint puttin spoilers in here since I know it hasn't been released in onemanga.com yet.

ya know, this arc really isn't all that long compared to the others.

Ya this arc is quite short but on the other hand it feels like its super long because its.....well......terrible.

I have to learn to read kanji sometime in the near future cuz waiting on translations is not guaranteed to even have one and takes alot longer then the raw (duh!).

It'll have to be something like. "The monster can only regenerate X amounts of times and you killed it enough now, yay!"

Wow... what a twist in the latest manga chapter... at least the latest one I've read. Seems like onemanga.com ain't allowed to provide me with fresh Gantz scanlations anymore. Does anyone know a good site to get the latest shit(please don't call me lazy) ?
