A New Year in Grand Zipang

Last episode was Christmas, this time it's New Year's!

The setting is Grand Zipang, just like last time. That Buggy sure doesn't give up.

Be sure to check the translation notes thread for some interesting information including a couple of Japanese puns!

One Piece episode 292 is now released!

Re: A New Year in Grand Zipang

Yay I needed this. Especially since I just found out that Canada's internet might be capped like Australia. If we do get capped, I'll make sure to reserve some bw to dl one piece still T-T;;;

Thank you for all your hardwork!

I live in Ontario and I have no idea what your talking about I mean I've never had unlimited bandwith but its something like 80 gigs a month with is more then enough to never worry about going over and getting extra fees and thats the way its been since I moved here 8 years ago.

Internet Service Providers (ISPs) are about to impose usage-based billing on YOU.

This means we're looking at a future where ISPs will charge per byte, the way they do with smart phones. If we allow this to happen Canadians will have no choice but to pay MUCH more for less Internet. Big Telecom companies are obviously trying to gouge consumers, control the Internet market, and ensure that consumers continue to subscribe to their television services.

These Big Telecom companies are forcing small competing ISPs to adopt the same pricing scheme, so that we have no choice but to pay these punitive fees.

This will crush innovative services, Canada's digital competitiveness, and your wallet.

Our big telcom companies want to charge us $2/gb overage fee and our caps are dismal to say the least. I believe I'm on a 60 gb or so cap and that's already considered a good plan. There's a lot more to this that'd take a while to explain and I don't wanna turn this topic political or something. Just trying to spread the news a bit to any canadians who might check out this site and hasn't heard the news. There's a petition on stopthemeter.ca that you can sign. Sorry! Feel free to delete this post if it's unpleasant to you guys. ><;

Bob: With services like netflix etc, there's a greater need and want for more bandwidth and stuff. I could go on and on about why it's necessary for bigger or even no caps but for me, it's mostly because I share my connection with my family and when you have 3 bandwidth hungry people under one roof, anything below 100 gbs is just not enough.
