eh, maybe you wouldn't go all out at first, that is how kubu had the captains beat the arrancars the first time after all. plus there probably was a limit to how much she was holding back, even if she didn't use full availible power, she probably couldn't use full power at the beginning.

Once again, Kubo takes 3 pages to show a guy kicking in a freaking door... I don't even bother to care anymore...

To be fair though, this week's chapter wasn't too bad...by Bleach standards anyway, which I know isn't saying much. We did learn some more about fullbring, Ichigo looks to be on the verge of recovering his powers, and Tsukishima showing up out of the blue was a pretty good cliffhanger. I mean, an expositional conversation, a powerup, and a confrontation setup in ONE chapter? That's like the content in half a chapter of One Piece! Kubo is spoiling us this week.

Actually, and keep in mind he may not even use this, I was thinking about what the woman said about Ichigo being in a flesh n' blood body and not a spirit right now. The fact that he looks like a shinigami now, but in a human body could be a bit problematic right. What if he tries to go all out and loses an arm, without Orihime there he could die of blood loss or something before anyone got a chance to treat him. For the first time in several chapters I'm actually looking forward to what comes next. Rank probably rose with this chapter by the way, so Niizuma won't be canceling it.

I have to agree with you on this one. Something ACTUALLY happened this time. Let's admit it. Story isn't Kubo's strong point. But the fight scenes can be quite entertaining sometimes, so let's hope a big fight is brewing. As for how Ichigo was able to recover so much of his power and how he did that flash step in the previous chapter. Don't expect to get an explanation. Hopefully next chapter is not just a staredown.

this could mean one of three things, Kubo's just abandoned this arc and finish it as quickly as he can, Bleach may be ending" can't lie the end of that CH felt totally forced even for bleach" or a flash back to cover some story on who this new ass hat is.

Why do i keep reading bleach, I thought All the hope I had for it got crushed by this new arc. but I clearly have some left may hap it just nostalgia from the old days when he didn't try so hard to make it something it isn't. at any rate I stand by my Ideas that Bleach will continue to lose votes and some time soon be up for getting cut.

I actually enjoyed this chapter. Maybe cause of my mood. I liked how all those fullbringers were scared shitless to make a move against tsukishima. It also seems like something is going on, and that yukio kid has potential for a bleach character.

Agreed. Otherwise, this was a better than usual chapter for bleach. Totally outclassed by Naruto, but .. well..

Since Naruto is consistently number two of the big three, that isn't too surprising. What is more surprising is that Bleach was totally outclassed by Toriko this week as well. Given the big boost it has gotten from its new anime and all of its cross promotions with One Piece, I'm hoping Toriko eventually knocks Bleach out of the top three for good. Unless Bleach starts declining in popularity, Kubo won't have any incentive to improve (or if this is really the best he can do, then Bleach can finally get canceled).

Well I do 'want' to stop reading bleach now, I don't know... I just can't do it.
Damn these long running series.
I keep trying to distract myself with Deadman wonderland, reborn and Ippo... and booze (this works best).
I keep just glancing at it and thinking, hey just a peek, it'll only take 3 minutes to read, and then I'm back to square one!
Right !
I am declaring here and now that regardless of how rubbish it gets I will read to the end of bleach!
Hell I still read D-gray man and i have absolutley NO IDEA whats going on since they fought the first level 5!

Wow, I didn't realize Bleach had fallen low enough in popularity to be so far in the back of each volume. Happy to see Toriko and Reborn! kicking its ass.

I finally understand why I still read Bleach, its like watching a car crash in slow motion, you just cant help but watch. Bleach fell to 16th this week in rankings

Really Reborn? I thought that one was going down hill, but I guess it's still popular. The last arc lacked some "oomph" at least in Tsuna's fight and this one is a little lack luster, although the art's crazy good.
Also lmfao at the post above.

Series needs to bear some fruit! I defend it, but this is a slow arc. We need some enthusiasm. I can really say that due to low ratings he may not care! But i like to think it's going really slow for lack of motivation.
Whatever, I keep waiting. No other series could replace bleach in it's own way, so all I can do it watch it go bad, like Heroes on NBC..

So am I right to conclude that even Japanese people are starting to get fed up with Bleach? That's really interesting. I haven't really read Bleach since.... somewhere before Aizen got beat, but I bump this thread every now and again. I guess what Steve said is kinda true though: I want to know when the manga ends (and just maybe I'll start reading it again then).
Anyway I am really curious as to why Kubo's still going so slow-like. Is he really doing it on purpose (lack of motivation)? Because if he is low in the rankings because he's fed up with it, why doesn't he just end the damn thing....?

This is a mini arc, then there's an arc after that, and then that's it.

Great, the one thing I was interested in seeing was who the mystery shinigami was from last chapter...and we don't get to find out this week. Instead we get another chapter where basically nothing happens.

Actually i replied without reading the chapter. Good chapter. Maybe inoue and Chad will be something above captain level for the next arc after all of this.
Anyone notice chad is training in 4.5x earth's gravity?
Holy shit, with the FF button it's the god-damn hyperbolic time chamber, but improved.... scratch that, the time chamber didn't have variable gravity, just temp differences.

Offline
Nah, I'm at the cell part right now and holy clearly says that the gravity gets more intense the farther you go.
He also asked Gohan if it was his first time training in high grav after he fell to the floor under his own weight after stepping in the white nothingness.
Funny how I talk about other manga more in this thread than Bleach itself...

at the rate bleach is going i give it at most till the end of the year.
HAHAHAHAHA. the rate? Are you implying it's going quickly? I know you mean it's getting worse, but honestly i think it's too slow to have any real ending. I'm sure they'll let it end naturally, there should be enough readers for that.

I don't know...Shaman King was fairly popular in its prime, and the manga made it really close to the end of the story, but it still got canceled for declining popularity. The same could certainly happen to Bleach--especially if it continues to come in 15-16th in the Jump ratings.

Lol at Ichigo's fullbring. I really don't like how it looks. Was wondering though if the shinigami we didn't see was also Tsukishima, which would explain the basis for which it is believe that a shinigami with fullbring surpasses shinigami.
And didn't his existence as a Vaizard already do that, or was that filler.
