Now that the crow with Shisui's sharingan is useless, does anyone but me think that they should give it to Kakashi. After all, wouldn't using his Mangekyou Sharingan cause him to lose his vision in that eye and it's the only MS left in the world that could give Kakashi an EMS.

I remember someone saying the body we couldn't see was probably Madara back when Kabuto summoned all the caskets, but that was still unexpected to me. Now the question is who's Tobi?
Offline
hahahaha when I was reading the chapter and I saw that at the end I just knew that was gonna bring this thread back up. Pretty good twist by Kishi seeing as to alot of people, including myself were pretty sure Tobi = Madara. Now I want to know how Madara knows Nagato. When he first stepped out of the casket and mentioned Nagato for a second I thought he was Yahiko but since he called him a little brat I was skeptical. Man now its driving me insane thinking on who the f---is Tobi.
edit: We finally got to see Kakashi again...I wonder how Suigetsu will feel if/when he arrives and sees Kakashi with the sword.

I'm so confused with the implications that I give up on trying to rationalize it. Didn't Tobi already show his face several times, already?

I don't think so, but can't really remember. He's also a really good liar or somehow possesses Madara's memories OR was someone else present at events during Madara's life. As for appearances he possesses sharingan so he could've hypnotized people to think any number of things. It's all in the air right now.

Maybe.... jesus, maybe Madara used something to stay alive so long and technically his original self died. God, I don't know. I can't wait for this to be explained. I think this was the most unexpected thing in any mange i've ever read.

You can't be serious... right? ..right?
Tobi probably used one of the jutsus Orochimaru used to migrate bodies, so although his original body died, he managed to live through the ages in order to accomplish his goal. The only thing he transplanted from one body to the other was the sharingans. What Kabuto summon was only Madara's original body. I can't explain how he knows Nagato though.

The only thing that ever surprised me in Naruto is why it didn't tell Rock Lee's story instead, who is infinitely more likeable and interesting.

I knew I had that thought floating around! I'd forgotten about that one.
That's probably it. Nagato? Maybe he'd already been inpured once before?

I thought the impure world resurrection worked by calling the soul of the original person back from whatever they name their own "great beyond"?
Offline
Right it calls back the soul and requires a body for sacrifice.
There's something I can't remember clearly; when Orochimaru summoned the kages was he unable to summon the fourth or did th third stop him? I kinda remember it both ways. Anyway the reason i'm asking is because I think with souls trapped by the death god you can't call with impure world, at least that's what I remember.
Offline
i think the fourth was actually a bluff, the third tried to stop it because he didn't know if it would work or not and couldn't take the risk.

Woooooooooah, trippy chapter. Very interesting.
The ending isn't anything, but the idea that sharingan evolves really spoke something.... I'm focused on the great plot twists, here. Kabuto is on a league unimaginable.

I haven't read Naruto in a while, so I won't be quick too judge, but have it been moving along with more innovative/ interesting fight scenes (deferring to the first half of Naruto) or is it all bigger/ better and new flashy moves now? From what I saw, have to say, I do not regret dropping this manga, unfortunately.
Offline
It's transpired quite well. It's flashy much of the time, but in a good way due to the story being in play. There are more characters to juggle in your mind than in a stephen king novel.
Really, it's worth picking up. Honestly; if you're concerned, voice your concerns in question form and i'll tell you anything you'd like to hear.

Tobi is... Madara's little brother... !

That's the dominant speculation so far. Hopefully we get to know in the next few chapters, and not next year.

Ooohh, this is a good assumption. But how immortality?

Also forums point fingers that Tobi is part Zetsu.
So in the most recent chapter, what do you think Tsunade will or can do to stop Madara? She is the direct descendant of Hashirama Senju after all.

Hey guys I left the bleach thread to see what's going on.
is this ... plot? Woah

it's ok uneasyspider just breath you'll get used to plot, and come to love it. it's also likely that Tobi could be an uchiha who Madara used a genjutsu on to make them think they are him then swap out eyes.

Offline
Madara's eyes just raised a question: if the rinnegan is the natural evolution of the sharingan, then why did Tobi want to keep one sharingan instead of transplanting both eyes? Did he not know? Would it prevent him from advancing his plans? And if the rinnegan and sharingan have this relationship, then is the legend of the byakugan simply not true?
About Tsunade, she wants in on the brawl either to heal people (they kept saying throughout the chapter that since Madara came the body count went up alot) or because she feels capable of breaking those meteorites with her fists. The third option would be something along the Senju bloodline, as mentioned by shiver_knight,

the huga clan is full of its self you can't forget that. the rinnegan likely can't do powerful genjutsu like the sharingan can.

Wait a second... in that last double page spread...
I could be mistaken, but it looks like the Raikage got his arm back. Did someone heal it or did Kishimoto forget. I honestly thought he still didn't have it. He definitely didn't use it when fighting Naruto... hmm...

Ugh, the bullshit avoidance of his identity. It's just plot to keep us sated while the fighting is drawn out more to make character development.
