So, I caught myself wondering; This guy is a human going bankai, and so is ichigo, right? No body to leave behind? And, considering that; Ginjo is like the vaizards in that they're regular clothes and then just having their zanpaktous.. I've always been confused by that. Disregarding that, though; Ginjo's zanpakto was his fullbring?... whaaaat? Fuck i'm lost.
What about ichigo's hollow side? I guess that's gone for sure, now.. maybe.

This week's chapter in a nut shell (I'm starting to like doing this):
Ichigo: Bankai! I knew it all along!
Ginjo: Bankai!

a million years? really? humans have been around for a very small fraction of that..... wtf

Offline
I could have sworn it was like 32,000... and 2 million?....... i mean, i don't see cave men shinigami.... wtf nevermind i'm so fucking....

I like the way Bleach handles its reveals.
"Hey, Ichigo! In about 9 chapters, I'm gonna show you that I have a Hollow inside me too! Wait for it!"
"...thanks."
What ever happened to the subtlety of Aizen's reveal and the character specific secrets (Ikkaku's bankai, Yumichika's true zanpakuto). If you want to reveal something, just fucking show it. What the hell is wrong with Kubo?

I don't think he likes bleach anymore. in all honesty he shouldn't be writing story he just sucks at it, he needs to find a writer or an assistant solely for writing. if what i hear holds true this next arc is the last one.

Offline
I heard he wants 10 years of Bleach. That means 20 years of filler.

Bleach taught me to see a more-than-20-pages manga chapter as a heavenly blessing..
But really, why does every chapter feel so short and empty ![]()

Because they are? xD Sorry...I'm fed up with Bleach now and really giving thought to stop reading it any more now.

So is Kubo never going to explain what Ginjo hoped to accomplish by stealing Ichigo's powers? Did he think that would make Xcution strong enough to invade Soul Society or something?
Offline
I woke up this morning realizing it was bullshit for Ginjo to have a bankai, and that it was now cheapened. But I stopped caring. Chew on that.

Page 12 shows Rose standing in the 3rd squad position. Kinda looks like Kira with a different hairstyle, but he has those frill things so its most likely Rose.

So since Bleach is taking three weeks off, I assume this last chapter was supposed to be the end of this story arc? What a letdown of an ending, not that I expect much from Bleach anymore. After that whole 8+ month story arc I don't have the faintest idea what Ginjo was even trying to accomplish by anything he did. If he hated Soul Society for trying to monitor and control him, why would he go to such lengths to mess with the only other person in the world with the same circumstances? If it was truly just to steal Ichigo's powers to increase his own, then what did he plan on doing with that power? Was he going to try to take down Soul Society with Xcution? And why does Ichigo suddenly feel a kinship with Ginjo after everything Ginjo did to him and his friends. If Kubo wants to paint Ginjo as this tragic victim of circumstance, then he needs to actually develop the character and make those circumstances known.
This story arc had no redeeming features. None! Tedious, slow pacing, villain with no clearly established objective or motivation, boring fights with no sense of tension--what a joke! Please, Shueisha, just cancel Bleach already. It doesn't deserve another ten years of serialization.

According to ANN Bleach is planning to enter its final story arc starting NOW. Guess he meant he was going to keep it going for ten years total, not ten more years, eh...

or jump's threatening to pull the plug if he doesn't pick up the pace or something to fix bleach's many many problems

Really get the feeling he was already trying to pull the plug before this. Anyway with his emo hero who can't seem to decide whether he wishes to be bad ass or scary ass I'm kinda glad it's almost over. Stopped reading the Xcution crap after Zaraki pwned what's his face with a single blow since I figured it couldn't get much better. BTW the article shows a page from WSJ supposedly explaining something about the decision or such, as I don't read Japanese I can't confirm if it's true or not, but I'm sure we'll find out soon enough.
Farewell Bleach you were one of the greatest wastes of uber potential I've ever had the pleasure(?) of reading you shall (not) be missed...

...this is old news. He was saying for a few years now that it would be the first arc, then a mini arc, then a major arc... where have you been?

Offline
Well the new and final arc has started and I'm already confused. And Mayuri looks as fucked up as ever. That is all I have to say.

Offline
Very... drawn out.. then again, It's appropriate if he plans to make it epic and not a short series.
I'm really starting to think this series is made to cater to the volume releases and not the jump readers. Just me?

Offline
I agree, UneasySpider. Bleach has great art (for the most part) but terrible pacing for a weekly series. If you read it in 9-10 chapter bursts, though, it would come across a lot better...well, aside from all the plotholes, villains with no motivations, and generally bad writing.
I am happy that this is the last story arc, though. It looks like it might deal with some retconned remnants of the Quincy Clan? Mayuri mentioned that there is only one group who can actually destroy hollows (rather than purifying them like Shinigami), and we know that the Quincy are such a group.
So let me predict...this story arc will build into a repeat of the war between the Shinigami and Quincy and Uryuu will end up choosing to support his clan, thus pitting him against Ichigo...wait, where did I see a setup like this before? Wasn't there another manga where the final story arc involved the main characters all taking different sides in a brewing supernatural war? Oh, that's right, Yuu Yuu Hakushou, Kubo's favorite manga to plagiarize!
I really hope I'm wrong...
Offline
true, the quincys might've been killed, but what happened to them after that? we know the science dude disected some of their souls, but some of them probably got away as souls, might be coming back to haunt them now
Offline
wow ... a month to come up with that, on the "cover page" there are at least 5 of them, they all seem to have some kind of collar going on. i also think its quincys, on page 11 it looks like one of them is using hollow bate.

We won't know till next week. I, for one, will be fine waiting a little while til something shows it's head. I hope SOMEONE posts a link when an HD quality one (like MS) shows up.
on that note; fuck Viz. If you want profit, be more efficient than the guys who do it in a few hours and only make money off the ads.
*EDIT* Go here for the new chapter: http://www.mangaeden.com/

I'm still confused. Were they souls in gigai, just souls.. or what? and if they were souls in gigai how did they fight in that clothes? How do they go to the real world and to soul society, with those gigai?
Lost.
Ivan has a mask, so... hollow Quincey? wut?
*EDIT* OHHHHHHHHHHHHH SNAP. I can't believe I guessed that as a random shot in the dark.
Holy. Crap.
*EDIT 2*
Also, for once, it seems a Bleach chapter is more interesting than a Naruto chapter.
