It could also be something Trafalgar Law did. It would also explain the people in the gas suits. But why he would be a shichibukai, I have no idea.
No one pays attention to me...
I came to the same conclusion you did, and I have the same question. Why is Law a shichibukai? (If it turns out to be him). It makes sense that Law was offered a spot since he was part of the War of the Best along with Buggy.
I also think Buggy filled one of the shichibukai spots.
On the other hand, it makes no sense since the only part Law played in the war was aiding Luffy.
So no, IF Law is a SB it has nothing to do with the war.

Yeah probably the master behind this is Law,but to think that using sleep-gas against Sh crew..Isn't that to low for him?

though, there's always the other possibility, the new world, where there are islands that rain lightning, sub zero islands, and islands constandly on fire, is even more f*cked up than we expected

Well so did Buggy...however Buggy also has the connection with Roger. Its also been 2 years and we have no idea how much havoc the supernovas have been causing. If Law has raised enough hell, it makes sense for the WG to ask him to become a shichibukai.

Looks everyone started answering Laughing fool since he got emotional.
Anyone else noticed that Luffy is air walking?
Offline
There was a whole lot of air walking this chap.

Offline
I think that is what everyone is assuming.
The guy said 2 humans, 1 cyborg and a pet.

Air walking? Like Geppou, perhaps? It's possible, but it looked more like mid-air dodging to me.
Looks slower than Geppou. He even called it Doru Run.

Prob Brook to save the day
Brook was also affected by the gas, although probably to a lesser degree than the others. Maybe the masked guys don't realize the skeleton is not dead.
They mentioned pirates, which means they probably never heard of the SH crew. Who believes a walking, talking skeleton if they never seen one before?

Mihawk, what have you been up to... !?

URGH! Just seen the post on Mangastream...they've been "forced" to stop scanlation work on Jump series...bloody VIZ media. I have currently bought all the volumes that they've released in the UK (when I can find them which is a tough task) but how the hell am I going to keep reading weekly through them if they don't do a weekly release?! =__=
Aft.
And I intended to come on here to contribute to the discussion but I'm well not in the mood anymore.
(I'm sure there are other scanlation groups out there but I really liked Mangastream and the format they used on their site. Their scanlation work was of pretty good quality too...)

And Mangafox was using Mangastream's releases. What's gonna happen to us? Things were just getting mysterious. Well, if anyone can find someone who hasn't gotten a C&D yet, please let us know. Or is Viz planning on releasing the latest issues as they come out?

At the very least we could get raws and work with those.

Viz has some pay for online thing that releases three weeks after the chaps come out. I know One Piece for sure, but I'm sure about what else.
Anyway, someone will pick this up for sure, though they'll be later and lower quality though...

Shonen jump alpha which is 25 bucks for a year. This has Naruto, Bleach, One Piece, and 3 other series.
The draw back is that it is 2 chapters behind Japan for right now, maybe this changes down the road who knows.

Maybe Mangazone will start releasing again

they could but they're not going too. that's the thing about the best scanlators, they tend to honor C&D's when they come through. but that also means all viz is doing is shutting down the ones trying to get people to support the industry, while the one's who couldn't give a shit keep going, ignoring them.
well, shonen jump alpha looks like a decent deal at least, wish the releases were current though.

I'm sure someone else will step in soon. We could easily get better as well. Saying they'll be lower quality is ridiculous. There were great HQ translations before they showed up. Mangastream is the reason why we don't have other options right now because they bullied off the other groups. And besides, can anyone really have loyalty to them when they slap a watermark on their fan translations? They're already stealing the work from people in Japan, why should they care if others take their work?

combo between sopa, pipa, megaupload, and now this...corporations are winning, pretty handily right now.

MangaReader is still up. It's at least one alternative.
Also ripped from mangastream. They just removed the creditpage but the watermark is still there.
Yet im not worried. Sure the coming weeks releases will be slow but then a new group will picknit up and well be back on track. C&d orders are pretty useless.

VIZ is pretty dumb. It's not like most of the people that read One Piece through MangaStream are going out and buying their publications. I know I don't and I won't. I am sure most people that buy One Piece from them aren't even aware of MangaStream.

that's exactly why they shut it down, so people wont be able to read it through them and go through VIZ to read one piece

great.... now what are we supposed to do?
