Galaxy, how can you miss the most important part of all this, though? It's a Hollow-Quincy hybrid....

Hahahaha!
There's nothing like a chapter of the new villain going 'TIME FOR HAX' and Ichigo with his "what the fuck is this bullshit..." and BREAKING out of that bankai-sucking ability.. or whatever it was.... Hahahaha. oh god. Even Ichigo is fed up with the BS.

And we're back to the trend of dudes losing arms for the fuck of it. But so far I'm kinda liking this new arc for some reason. Might just be because knowing its the last arc I'm just trying to enjoy it.

Offline
I'm.... no one touched on how it's said THEY can use Bankai. Now, granted, we might think that they just 'absorb' shinigami bankais and do them that way, maybe?.. but let's attack one possiblity....
Hollow Shinnigami Quincies!... yeah? you with me?..... ok i'll go home now.

Christ. That's a major fuckup. Seriously, someone please find a new site or scan source.

ugh i'm so confused. i totally thought that new guy was aizen with a new hairdo. it's like all the characters in bleach popped out of the same limited gene pool.
and even if the scanlation was wrong, i was terribly unimpressed at the idea of a new character being able to use bankai. as we've learned in the past two arcs (? have there been more than that?), everyone and their mother has a bankai. or something even stronger and more broken.
sigh. though i say all this, i'm still curious how this is all going to end.

This Bankai cancellation ability is probably Kubos way to not have to show the Bankais of the senior captains cause he probably can't think of anything decent. We all know how it is with Kubo and drawing shit up without thinking of how to finish it *cough* Kensei vs Wonderweiss *cough*

Offline
Kensei vs Wonderweiss was done in the anime, no? You're right, though.. the fuck. he could have finished that.. the only thing he can do is a flashback. whatever.

Offline
I read somewhere, it might have been on here, after the chapter where that fight was finished that Kubo didn't bother showing the fight because it was simply as Kenpachi said after the fight that it was "boring as fuck". Still though, I don't get why he can't just give some input into these fights. Its only going to give him stuff to cram into a couple chapters to make the chapters more than a 30 second read.

hell, there are more unfinished plot points in bleach than chapters kubo could stretch this last arc into; the yammy fight, ichigo's bankai training; why his dad got thrown out of SS, if kenpachi's sword's ever gonna get some development; if the xcution arc will have any relevance whatsoever other than giving ichigo his power back; all the various non-shinigami side characters from the SS arc; what the hell ururu is; what happened to nel? seriously, anyone care to add to the list?

There seemed to be reason to assume that Grimmjow didn't die, but he became absent for the entire story after getting the crap cut out of him.

All the arrancar stayed out... nel included. Jesus. You're too right.
Anyway this is suppose to be another big arc... could be years...

This arc is actually moving pretty quickly...for Bleach anyway. Given that the anime is ending and Bleach's numbers are down, it wouldn't surprise me if WSJ is breathing down Kubo's neck to finish the series off expediently.

..not only Ivan, but the other guy, too.. but as a foundation stone for peace? probably because he was a hollow, originally. But his own man? That was a bit much.. it just shows his incredible arrogance.

Overall a pretty good chapter this week. Kubo's actually tying up lose ends by bringing Nel and Harribel back, which is a very pleasant surprise, and quite a bit actually happened (another rarity for Bleach).
Offline
I'm glad to see Nel back, but after this chapter I'm sure theres a bunch of fangirls screaming for Grimmjows return; not that it would be a bad thing.

Yeah, Crazy.
I kind of like that this group declared war on hueco mundo and soul society. It's to be assumed they're from earth or some third area. Interesting to see if the hollows will fight along side, now.

So Sasakibe had a Bankai all along, even before Kyoraku and Ukitake but we got to see nothing from him throughout the entire series. He was strong enough to have a Bankai yet he got beat while in Shikai by a barehanded Ichigo in SS and he served no purpose in FKT when his allies were getting beat. And now none of that matters cause hes dead. This just proves that Kubo makes shit up as he goes.

You have to realize writers won't tell you something without a reason. This was done due to that bankai being stolen.

OHHHHHHHHH SNAP!!... I mean... that was ok...... sorry, I got sucked into the emotion of the end of that chapter. I was expecting soap opera sound effects.

So let me get this straight, Ichigo and pals invaded Hueco Mundo to rescue a friend, and now the villain is using Ichigo's preoccupation as an opportunity to invade Soul Society? I kind of feel like this exact same scenario happened once before...Nah, must be deja vu, because there's no way a famous mangaka who's been published for over a decade could be so unoriginal.

I'm pretty sure that release was the same one Uryuu used in SS; You lose all abilities once it's used up. Remember he said he was "Ordered to defeat you with *all my strength*". That was the hint. First time I've seen a fight where the desperation release is used. Interesting.

I'm... i don't know. Ichigo probably didn't have the time yet to elevate and go Bankai or.. whatever he needed.. so i'm confused at the idea of who's stronger than who, now.

Offline
Doubt it'll matter. If his Bankai makes him even, he'll just rise to his challenge on who looks more "unnerving" with an updated Vizard form, in all likelihood.
