Maybe it was in the preview? I actually miss the days where we got previews of what's to come....

Acc. to One Piece Wikia, it's true that ep 542 is a One Piece Toriko crossover but then it says that 542 is postponed, so does that mean that the crossover ep is actually aired next week? Please no!

トリコ×ワンピースコラボスペシャル, Toriko x One Piece Collab Special,  listed for this weeks episode.

Next week is a normal episode, although its listed as 543 not 542.

:edit: yeah its 542 in the same way that the previous Toriko Collab Special took up episode 492. I'm guessing were getting them every 50 eps??

I guess it's a annual thing.

I think they handled that really well: the end when the two princes start dancing and singing, and just the final moments. I had forgot how the events transpired actually. Good ep.

And just to comment on the roller coaster that is One Piece. I love how you get hilarity, and heart wrenching moments all mixed in with the action and story, and the thing is...a lot of the time you don't expect it. This is where it, for me, differs from other series. Was talking about this with a friend who i recently persuaded to watch One Piece. He's hooked and agrees about the emotional roller coaster that is One Piece.

Following on from last week, I felt that the first half of this episode was incredibly powerful. From Neptune's reaction, to Fukaboshi speech, to Jimbei's release from all his grief and suffering he has bottled up. Oh man. Powerful stuff. IMO.

But bring on the action now!! WOOPWOOPWOOP!

I felt like the flash back was dragging until it came to the climax the last couple of episodes, but I do agree that the slowest part will be waiting for the action to actually kick in. However, I actually don't remember a lot of things from this arc so that should help some.

Yeah, most likely. Still, I can't really recall what happens next, which is a good thing I guess

The Zoro, Brook and Usopp section added some much needed hilarity to what was, to me, a fairly slow and uneventful episode. Looking forward to all the action that's to come.

Daruma chews through the candy factory before heading out to Gyoncorde Plaza.
Dosun is discreetly given an Energy Steroid and breaks the chains that bind him.
Hyouzou and Zeo dispatch the soldiers in their way before they move to the execution site.
Ikaros displays his aversion to fire before he sees Hody and Neptune fly overhead.

While Hody is flying past Ikaros's group, he lurches in pain as all the Energy Steroids he took finally take their toll.

He's more than eager to demonstrate his newfound strength, as he launches a Water Shot on the soldiers below.

I was also expecting a kitchen implement, or a lighter/cigarette combi...can see why the latter may have been avoided though.

Not bad ep, can't wait for all the action to kick in though >_<

I can't believe I'm saying this, because One Piece is my favorite thing EVER, but I don't think I'll be watching the anime for a while once this arc is over.
It's painful enough watching these last several episodes, but the new manga chapters don't look like they will translate to tv very well.
Just animate the cover stories as "filler", dammit!!

Finally, some action!

What an entrance indeed! Man, I have been waiting for that for so long. Please, please, please don't tell me that there's a break scheduled or anything next week. I CANNOT WAIT FOR THE ACTION OMDZ!
