Thought i bump this, cause end of the day it's an awesome read every week. It's been awhile since anyone has discussed anything but much has happened especially with chapter 59.
Looks like throughout the chapters, Miura has blown it, especially how he's been forcing them to do comedy, back it up with data and not getting back to them in a week making them feel like they aren't important.
Next chapter will be interesting to see what Ashirogi Muto will decide, since they already signed a new contract to do Shounen for another year, so they can't move on to another magazine. Not sure if they will give Ashirogi Muto a new editor or whether Miura will fall into despair and quit as an editor.

soo...anime got announced for 2010 last week..Gotta imagine it'll be spring season, so like March or so. Anybody think it'll be any good?
I mean...if you're still reading this you're gonna watch it, so it's sorta a silly question but you think it'll actually have mainstream appeal? Personally, I don't..It seems like such a niche manga. I guess the creators of death note and hikaru no go carry some weight though.
And to keep it on topic with the manga, why the hell is Nakai being such a giant asshole about this whole Aoki thing? Seems really out there, but I guess it's all a plan for further down the line. And is anyone else surprised at how much you've come to love Aoki? Bam. Just like that she's one of your favorite characters and you didn't even notice.

If they keep to the manga then i will love this series even more.
Not sure if many people know about this series, but i just find it amazing that the series is still going since it's a manga about manga. It probably my favourite weekly series since it doesn't take me 1-2 minutes to read through it and the characters are well fleshed out. Got to feel sorry for Aoki about the whole Nakai thing, with him being such a dick, but it looks like things have picked up for her. She doesn't come across as this snooty woman who hates shounen manga and men
Personally i hope that opposites attract and that Fukuda and Aoki might become a couple in the future.
I think the TV series has the potential to be mainstream and it has many advantages since it might appeal to a broader audience.

This week's chapter was made of 100% pure win. Even if it was a bit predictable, I can't wait for the next few chapters. Not many mangas keep me on the edge of my chair as much as Bakuman does.

I should've saw that twist coming, because Niizuma is just that type of person, but totally didn't, so the chapter was extra awesome for me.

I was certain he was going to try to end PCP thereby forcing them to try to be 1st to prevent being ended. I totally didn't see this coming.

So it seems that Bakuman has finally finished, any thoughts? I really wish we could have seen the progress of the other mangas... but I guess it makes sense to finish the manga now it fall in line with the story. When they finally did what they needed to do, the real manga must finish (didn't want to write out what happened in case of spoilers)

I WAS surprised it ended, but then again I wasn't either. I'm not sure where else they could've taken the story so it's probably a good thing that they ended it, though I thought the way things turned out with Niizuma turned out to be a little anticlimactic, but oh well. Man, Jump loses another series, this one that stayed consistently in the middle, makes me really wish that Psyren had held out a while longer, but that's another topic completely.

felt like kind of a week ending, especially after that last arc, just seemed like they weren't following the moral of the arc they just wrote. i mean, it didn't need to go on for years and years, but should've at least had a "a few years down the road" epilogue chapter or something.

I'm kind of disapointed well never find out how the rest of Team Fukuda turned out. Lots of things i wanted to know about characters that weren't azuki and mashiro. I think it's a bit of a shame
