I've also been thinking that Tobi might in fact be Obito for a long time now. Of course the eye that Tobi had is on the side that Obito got crushed but who knows. Also why would Obito be evil now? I think it might have something to do with how Rin died, which we haven't heard a single word about yet.
she died? i could've sworn she was shown once in present day, she and kakashi were at the KIA grave he showed them on their first day.

No that wasn't Rin, only know cause I've been watching the DVD's recently, she was a member of the ANBU who was close to that Gekkou Hayate guy. Apparently Yugao Uzuki is her name, found it on the naruto wiki, and Rin is listed as deceased, but that's still up in the air as it's never confirmed and the only evidence is that Kakashi tells Sasuke that everyone close to him has already perished.

If Tobi is indeed Obito, it would also explain that comment that implies he personally knows Kakashi.
After all, Kakashi got his Sharingan eye from Obito.
Kakashi isn't exactly the same as he was back when Obito was alive so that's not necessarily a telltale sign. Though I don't disagree with you either since his offhanded comment to Guy seemed a little too familiar too.

The huge Obito bandwagon had been relinquished because of age issues. How is Obito supposed to be such a threat when Naruto was born (Kakashi was already Jonin, but being 4th Hokage-level and beyond, damn), and have wrinkles (he's Kakashi's age,yet http://images.wikia.com/naruto/images/4 … s_mask.JPG). So I really hope it's not Obito. Then again why the hell does he wear a mask instead of doing a jutsu like Tsunade? Man why doesn't Kishimoto start answering already.

Was checking on my phone today and found this on Mangaeden.
It's for the new movie, the upside down picture makes me interested in seeing their personalities twisted.

I like that Rock Lee hasn't changed a bit. Parallel universe? Psh! He's still only focused on kicking ass. Unless he can use nin- and genjutsu, which would be pretty sweet to see.

This might be a really stupid question, but I honestly forget what Kamui is. Anyone can explain it to me?

This actually pisses me off a bit, when Naruto and Sasuke said they'd settle the score during the war Kakashi stepped up and was about to use this move to take out Tobi, but stopped after Tobi told him it wouldn't work (I still would've tried anyway). I know it isn't the technique that directly damaged Tobi, but still it was effective in helping so I don't understand why he didn't at least try back them. Still to this day I think Kakashi was more badass as a kid.

well the technique isn't without it's risks, when pain attacked konoha didn't kakashi die from overuse of it?
Offline
The explanation, as I understood it, is that he died from using too much chakra, though the technique does have some risks I'm sure. From what was explained, when he taught Sasuke Chidori is overused of chakra can result in several negative affects including death. Though to be honest I can't remember the reason he died during the battle with Pain, I remember him being trapped, saving Chouji, and something happening with a nail and that's about it...
Offline
yea, pain threw a nail at him and he used it to make the nail vanish, then he died. plus he seemed fairly strained by it when using it on the exploding clay guy, so it's probably not something he wants to just try out when there's a good chance it wont work

but to this point it's pretty much the MAIN badguy, I just don't see any point to NOT trying it, especially when its just because the enemy said it wouldn't work at the time.
Kakashi: I'll hit him with Kamui
Tobi: Don't do it Kakashi, it will not work (waving his hand)
Kakashi: Shit! He's right there's no way it'll work.
Seems like he got Jedi mind screwed to me... that's what pisses me off.

Someone should make a comic strip with that, it would be hilarious.

So Tobi has got Obito's eye as well... does that mean... noooooo...

WTF, man. That side of Obito was totally crushed. Wasn't that the point? ugh this is such bullshit if it's Obito.. idk. fuck this. I don't like this answer. DO OVER.

Offline
Well whatever his identity is, looks like we might finally find out next week. Unless the story goes back to Sasuke and Orochimaru. Actually that wouldn't surprise me at all. It appears that Gai also knows Tobi, whoever he is.

Offline
Tobi had two sharingan eyes, though. He used one against Konan. I think he just Transplanted this one from Obito, or, something.... idk. Obito's face was crushed, so... whatever. The series will explain later.

Offline
No surprises there. It is Obito's body but is it his mind or someone else's? If it's really him body AND soul then why did he say he was Uchiha Madara and why is he doing the tsuki no me plan? Is it because of what happened to Rin? Oh well, this chapter had 1 line which answered 1 obvious question but a ton of other questions are still left to answer.

It really is kind of sad. I'm serious. He mirrors Naruto but with practically none of the successes to reinforce the idea that if you try hard enough you'll succeed. Yeah, he got Chunnin eventually, but with how fast Kakashi (and that's not even a fair comparison) rose through the ranks it's almost unimportant. When he finally makes some use of himself he's crushed by a boulder and gives an eye away to boost his friend.
I think if he is Tobi, and not some kind of husk, he's become a really great villain now; one you can feel some amount of sadness for.

Now my immediate question is:
Who is Obito's very close and dead person?
Since he uses his Mangekyō.
Edit:
Silly me. Rin?
Second question: how does he use this time-space ability without loosing the eyesight in his right eye? Since his and Kakashi's Mangekyōs are identical, it means he has not implanted his sibling's [Edit 2: or any other Uchiha's] eye.

I'm so confused, how was he already the same as he is now back when he fought the fourth Hokage? Kishi, you got some 'splainin to do...

Why isn't Kakashi also blind in that eye?

because kakashi hasn't used it nearly as much.

@KajiwaraSora Because it's a transplanted eye, and not Kakashi's own.
Edit:
Just so we're clear, the main problem why Obito always being Tobi/Masked man(men?) still seems weird:
At the beginning of the series Kakashi is 26-27 years old.
Obito is his peer.
The day when Naruto was born, the day the masked man tried to gain control of Kurama, is 12 years before the start of the series.
Making Kakashi and Obito 14-15 years old.
I find it very hard to believe that 1-2 years of training (after awakening the first tomoe on his sharingan) could bring Obito's powers to the level displayed by Tobi at that moment: taking controll of Kurama (Madara being the only one before Tobi to do this), time-space use while fighting Minato. (basically, what Legend5747 pointed out)

If that's the case, why is Obito using it? Surely if using someone else's mangekyo didn't make the eye go blind, he would use one of the many others he has. Also why did he lie to Konan about being Madara if he was going to kill her seconds later? Just so many things that I don't understand...
