That is right. I'M starting a RP. This is more or less a result of my boredom combined with the lack of interest in the RP's I'm currently in. Not meant to hurt neither Drachnon or Hanzatre, but seriously, this is not satisfying my RP-interests.
This RP will be somewhat more serious (as in I don't want angsty teen vampire-demons, mutant plasma-squirrels or avid egomaniacal sociopaths in here) but with a healthy dose of the OP humor.
It will be situated in South Blue (since I have complete freedom, as there is virtually no info about it).
CHARACTERS:
I want a crew of SIX. I will NOT rate this on who posts FIRST, but who makes the better CHARACTER. Just so you all know.
I demand a decent background, and favor balanced characters. By balanced I mean both combat-wise and with regards to anime realism.
If you want a DF, all good, but I demand a good story on HOW, WHEN and WHY. If you wanna keep this a secret from the rest of the crew, well, that is what PMs are for.
Of course, your character, your DF and your abilities have to be ORIGINAL. If not in nature then in background and use. (My character in Darkness of West Blue uses powers that baddies in OP already have, but quite diffrently and with an extensive story)
Please note: I will not play a character myself.
PLAYERS: If you play like a five year old ADHD kid, I WILL kick you off.
I really don't wanna sit fifteen minutes deciphering crappy english.
I want to see a post at least weekly, if you have a reason why you cannot post for a long period of time, PLEASE tell me. Also, the players who are most interested and most active will become "main characters".
Now, here is the form you will use to submit characters:
Name: (Your character's name) Gender: (Your character's gender) Role: (What role your character want to/can do on the ship) Age: (Your character's age. This I want roleplayed. A 16-year old is not as levelheaded and wise as a 40-year old) Combat: (Sum your combat powers up using few words, elaborate later in the post) Physical specs: (Height, Weight, Build, Tone etc) Appearance: (Post a picture if you wanna, but give a fairly accurate description of how you look, what you wear and your basic demeanor) Background: (Describe your character's past, the more details the better.) Combat relevant info: (Specifics on your characters weapons, your general power-level, devil fruit moves, combat style and your character's hardiness and resiliance) Personal info: (Flesh out your character. How is he/she? What motivated you to become a pirate? What is your goal in life? What quirks do you possess? Be creative. This part is more or less where I qualify potential players.)
I will write a new post on story and setting in a while. Gotta go for now.

Name: Urateke Yake
Gender: Male
Role: Cook
Age: 35
Combat: tsuitouryu or twin dagger style
Physical specs: Height: 6’2” Weight: 90 kilos Build: a rather small figure, but every piece of his body looks well trained
Appearance:
Yake has dark blue hair falling from the sides of his head till the height of his eyes with a few locks at his forehead. Blue eyes and a scar from his left ear till his left shoulder defines his face. Around his neck he has a gold necklace with a heart-shaped hanger with a photo of his son in it. He wears a dark brown coat and under that a white shirt. He also has some black pants and shoes. At first he may look a rather old, worn out man, but if you look closely his eyes and facial expressions represents the youth and vitality of a twenty year old.
Background:
In the north of the city Kuita, a nice and peacefull town, the only town of Yakuza, an island somewhat east from Toraki Island, lays a restaurant named Urateke Hyakumi. It is a very popular restaurant and people from all South Blue visit it. The main succes come from the two owners, a couple named Yaro and Iris. They are the greatest cooks of South Blue and maybe even beyond. They have a son named Yake, a rather lazy and silent boy. Although he posseses the skill to become even a better cook than his mom and dad, all he does is reading about pirates and messing around in the kitchen. Apart from that, they have a normal life. Yake grows tall and tender, just like his father.
It was when he woke up at his eighteenth birhday, that his life took a change. He came down looking for father and mother, but they weren’t there. “They must be still in bed, they had a long day yesterday.” Yake walked up again to his parents bedroom. But nobody was there. Yake looked everywhere in the house, he even checked the restaurant, but he couldn’t find them. Not even the townelder knew where Yaro and Iris where. After checking the whole island and not finding any clue, not even a boat missing, he laid in bed for a whole week, thinking about what he must do now. He decided to continue with the restaurant, hoping that his parent come home one day. That was just hope.
It was hard work for Yake, who hadn’t done anything in his life. But he managed to do it somehow and the old status of the Urateke Hyakumi stayed intact. He even fell in love with one of the waitresses, Yame and they married. When Yake was twenty, Yame suddenly died due to an ilness. Yake was sad for one part, but happy on the other, because Yame left Yake a wonderfull gift her last day: a boy. It was at the time that Yake had grown a lot, not physically but for the most part mentally. Due to the hard work he had become a lot more mature and he he devoured a lot of books. He had gained a large pack of nature’s intelligence, but still he was the silent, sober one. Only the smile of his son, Yaro, made him smile. Yake spend as much time as he had with Yaro and the boy grew up just like his mother, the happy and adventurous type. He always asked why his father could cook so well and the answer was every time the same. “Before I met your mother,” Yake explained, “I was the head cook of the pirateking Gol D. Rodger. I learned the cook from the best cooks all over the entire Grand Line. His fleet was enormous and it was hard work on the ship. Not only by preparing diner for more than 1000 men, even the cook must fight in battle. As a cook of the pirateking I eventually gained a 150.000.000 belli bounty. But than I met your mother and retired.” “Can I also become a great cook and pirate like you, father?” the boy asked. “Sure you can, as long as you do your best and try hard,” said Yake as he caressed the boys head.
Yake was visiting the grave of his wife one day. Yaro had become 11 just yesterday. Yake laid down some flowers at the grave on top of a cliff, when he Yaro boarding a small ship alone on the beach below the cliff. Yake hesitated not one moment and ran for the boy. By the time he got there, Yaro’s boat already drifted in the open sea. He could only listen to the last words of his son. “I’m going to look for a pirateship and become a great cook and pirate with a bounty even higher than yours, daddy! Byeee!”
Yake shouted to retrieve his son, calling up the dangers of the sea, but his words wouldn’t reach the boy. He eventually jumped into the sea, but when he was only 3 yards from the shore, a seaking rose from the surface and ate the small boat together with the boy.
The next day the villagers found the Urateke Hyakumi closed. Yake had run into the forest, crying so loud his eyes almost burst. His greeves of pain were heared trough the entire island. He wanted himself never to come in contact with any human again, because they all would die sooner or later if the stayed with him. And so Yake lived three years in the forest, just surviving with his cooking knives and his will.
After those three years, Yake finally regained his old, calm self again and left the forest, but there was one great difference with him before. He had a dream, a life goal, to fulfill the dreams of his late son and to become the cook of great pirateship and to gain a 150.000.000 belli bounty! With that in his mind Yake boarded a mercendary ship from Yakuza that was headed for Toraki Island.
Combat relevant info:
Together his cooking skills and survival training, Yake learned himself a twin dagger style, the tsuitouryu he called it. During the three years he discoverd that he had a great figting speed, almost if it were in his genes. He found himself as fast that he could attack any animal head on in an open field, without it even knowing that it was attacked. Apart from his speed he lacks raw strenght and a strong body.
Tsuitouryu styles:
Issen tantou: Yake attacks with his knives forward so fast that it looks like he wields a dozen more daggers
Haishitsu shibireru: an attacked that allows Yake to disable the arms and legs of his opponent with one strike
Kyoudan: moves Yake behind the opponent, leaving him open for an attack
Kokudo tantou: Yake circles around his oppenent as fast as he can and suddenly he throws daggers from all directions at his opponent
These are just a few attacks, but Yake will learn more in the future
Personal info:
Yake is at the start of a very distant type, he won’t let anyone get close to him. This makes him sometimes looks rude, but Yake knows that’s for the best. But deep in his heart, Yake wants to have nakama, if its only to not think al the time about the one he already lost. He is a calm thinker with quick at analysing situations and solving problems. Being in the nature for so long, he had developed great respect for all what lives in the wild, except one fiercefull creature: the seakings. When he left the forest he made himself another promise. If he had someone to love, care for again, he would never loose them again. He lives for the dream of his son and he would do anything to make it make it come true. With his hanger with a picture of his son in it, which he values a his only treasure he sets out to the sea, to accomplise his dreams and sometimes with the slightest hope to discover what happened to his parents.

Yosh, here is the first piece of information:
The recent years, South Blue has been a pirate hellhole after the execution of Gol D Roger. The ambitious pirates have been popping up like a rash, making life hard for common people. In response to this, the marines have adopted stricter routines, and given marine leaders the authority to execute known pirates without a trial.
Under the jolly roger of captain Big John Short, a fleet of pirates formed to take a shot at One Piece. He was a good man, and believed in a code of honor among pirates. He was sold out by his officers, who disliked his rules, which did not tolerate preying on trade-ships and small communities. In the aftermath, the crew divided into three parts:
- John's Followers. When the mutiny occured, they fled, taking their injured captain away on the flagship.
- The Seekers. The group who decided to disregard the internal strife, break off and continue to search for One Piece.
- The Sea Scorpions. The group who tried to kill captain John, and took control of the majority of the remaining fleet.
These three groups are influential powers in south blue. John's Followers are taking care of their captain, who is still on the path to recovery. The Seekers are basicly running around getting lots of info on the Grand Line, while the Sea Scorpions are terrorizing just about everything they happen upon.
There are roughly ten other crews that broke off from the main fleet, but never grew to become as influential as the three major factions.
Another name to note is Orson Holingrave. He is one of the three head marine commanders in south blue, and perhaps the most ruthless marine to sail under the sun. He has his own warped take on justice, and enforce it with a fervor that scares his subordinates into performing better than most marines. He is famous for his Yoroi (armor) Devil Fruit powers, making him almost invincible in battle. He can also make stuff sprout plate-armor, making his ship almost unsinkable.
Now, onto the starting phase:
The characters you play live on/visits a huge island in the northwestern part of south blue, named Toraki Island. Here you will find the town of Hamashira, home to the famous Gold Harbor, where the annual trading extravaganza is taking place. If you want to sell or buy something, chances are that you will find it here. Be it rare medicine, obscure tomes, quality weapons, expensive goods or more basic stuff. It is also worth the trip just for the spectacle and entertainment.
The Tumbling Coin is a waterfront tavern/inn where people interested in scoping out potential recruits gather. Many crews has been formed during nights of bingedrinking there. The bartender is a former pirate named Rylina. She is a kind woman, quite attractive for her age, and still kicks ass if she has to.
Where the RP is heading:
I intend to move onto the Grand Line after a while, and search for something that inspired all kinds of people to join Big John Short in his time, despite their differences. Something that made his crew different from the rest seekers of One Piece. It is up to the players how and when they want to progress, but I want a steady pace.

Sweet! I am totally getting in on some of this action.
Name: Celest Q. Fox
Female
First Mate/minor medical knowledge
Age: 21
Combat: Originated a style of combat dancing during her time while working as a traveling performer. Her maneuvers are quick yet graceful. Some moves originated from techniques taught by various members of the Moracca Traveling Circus.
Hight- 5'4'', Weight- 120- Thin yet muscular tone, and athletic build so she's not exactly top heavy like Robin or Nami.
Appearance: Bright red hair, small patch of freckles on her cheeks give her a near childish appearance, likes to wear clothes similar to those found in Alabasta. They are meant to mostly make her dance moves look more elaborate. Slightly tanned skin and brown eyes. Her hair is kept in a ponytail and her bangs slightly cover her right eye. She almost never wears shoes.
Background: As far back as she could remember, Celest and her father Gerard Q. Fox sailed the seas with the Ridgeback Pirates in the oceans of South Blue. Her father was the captains first mate and she admired him greatly. With her mother as the ships doctor, Natsumi Fox, Celest regarded the ship as her home and it's crew her family. Every one of them was like having another big brother or sister at home. Ever since the Golden Age of Piracy began with the death of the infamous pirate Gold Roger, the ship was always on the movie picking up supplies for their eventual journey into the Grand Line so they can find the grand treasure One Piece. Celest and her father always guessed at what One Piece was be it a treasure room full of gold or of a mountain of rubies. While growing up on the ship, and watching everyone at work, Celest grew knowledge of the ins and outs of a pirate ship. She studied everyone's jobs closely and even watched as their captain Nich Marki and her father gave orders to the subordinates. Eventually, even Celest got into the act of barking orders at her "brothers" and "sisters". Captain Nich always joked that one day she might take her fathers job one day and become first mate of his ship, the Roving Hornet. Celest really hoped that this would one day come true so she studied her father more closely now than ever before. One day while on a supply gathering trip, the ship had picked up a cast away clinging on to a piece of drift wood, Nestor Troya. Apparently, his ship had been destroyed by the marines and he was the only one one board that could escape capture. Captain Nich welcomed the man and treated him like a member of the crew. Nestor was well skilled as a gunner and had incredible marksmanship himself. His swordfighting skill was also decent, but Ceress always looked at her father as a true warrior, a man able to fight even 10 armed men with nothing but his arms and legs. When Celest turned eleven, she asked her father to teach her how to fight like him. Though he and her mother were reluctant, Gerard taught her the different techniques that he learned over the years. Celest was a quick learner and quite agile at that. At times, she challenged her father to a duel and was able to put up a fight showing that she was capable of utilizing her fathers skills in ways he could never had thought of, but in the end, he was still able to best her. During this time, Gerard had suddenly become uneasy and the reason was quite unclear to Celest for quite some time until she noticed that Nestor had been in the background wherever her father had gone. Celest didn't like Nestor, even from the moment they picked him up, feeling that there was something off about him. Celest began to tail Nestor and noticed that every night, he was tossing bottles out to the ocean. Celest didn't dare look closer for fear of being spotted. It was on her 12th birthday that everything on the ship Roving Hornet that everything went bad. They were docked at Pikan Island. It was late and everyone was worn out from celebrating her birthday. Celest had noticed that Nestor was at none of the festivities that had occured that day. While it comforted her to know that he wasn't around watching her or her father like a hawk, it also made her feel uneasy at that she had no idea where he was. It was like he disappeared from the ship entirely. Celest left her room and searched for her father. She reached the captains quarters where sometimes her father was late at night discussing travel plans with the captain when suddenly a hand from no where grabbed her and covered her mouth. Celest let out a muffled scream but realized that it was her father who grabbed her. He scolded her for being up this late and ordered her to return to her room. She ran back, towards her room but hid behind a barrel and watched her father when he turned away. Suddenly, Gerard screamed "No!" at the top of his lungs and ran into the captains quarters. Suddenly, Gerard was sent flying out covered in green muck Celest ran to her father and looked at what had happened. Nestor Troya had murdered Captain Nich. He had planned it from the very beginning, to become entrenched and trusted by the captain and crew and eventually take over the ship. Nestor stepped out of the captains quarters and stuck his fingers in his mouth and let out a loud ear piercing whistle. Suddenly, pirates were everywhere storming the ship. Nestor purposely waited for a day of celebration to catch all of the pirates off guard. Celest had had enough and ran at the traitor at full speed. She jumped up and kicked him as hard as she could in the gut, but her foot actually got stuck in him. It was like kicking a bed of Algea! That was when Nestor admited to eating the Algea Algea Fruit, allowing him to attack anyone by spitting algea at them, and allowing parts of his body to become algea. Celest twisted her body using her stuck leg and hit the emergency alarm button on the wall next Nestor, sounding a loud bell in the bowels of the ship and alarming the tired and largely still hung over crew members. Nestor picked her up and tossed her like a rag doll. Celest hit her head on the hard wood and was knocked unconciouss for a while. When she came to, Celest saw her father, covered in blood. Celest was put in a barrel and as the top was being sealed, her father said to her "I love you" and closed it. The barrel was tossed overboard and landed in the water. During the fight, the ship's ties had been cut and anchor lifted so that no one from Pikan Island could respond. The barrel was sealed tight and Celest fought to break the top open for many hours, but when she finally worked it off, the ship had long disappeared and she was adrift at sea. Days later one morning, Celest's barrel landed on the beach of Pikan Island. Celest set to wandering the streets, begging for money and stealing food to survive. It wasn't until a gypsy who had been present at the party recognized her. Her name was Leia Moracca. Leia asked why Celest wasn't on the ship anymore and after Celest had told her about the attack on her ship, Leia took pity on the girl. She introduced her to her band of entertainers ranging from dancers, clowns, and acrobatic performers. Celest was relieved to have been taken in by someone but all she could really think of was her home being invaded and destroyed. Everyone she knew had lay dead and now, Celest was perpetually on her own. Leia treated Celest as a member of the troupe and tried to help the poor girl. Celest took to the dancers Maria and Hana and learned their elaborate yet beautiful moves. She adapted the techniques she learned from her father with the dance moves and created her own unique style. As the years went on, traveling with the group, Celest became a headlining dancer. Every once in a while, a fresh customer would try and come on to the young Celest, but with her graceful maneuvers, she turned her dance into a deadly fray of kicks and punches that the crowd was stunned not only at the ferocity of the young girl, but how beautifully she made it look. Though Celest had warmed up to her new life as a dancer, her mind remains on the seas and what had happened that fateful night. Her furvor to return to the sea and find the traitorous dog who killed her family was reignited when she spotted a 50,000,000 berrie bounty for a Captain Nestor Troya. The traveling troupe are now performing in Gold Harbor, taking advantage of the usual swell of customers who want to see a show. This will also be Celest's final show. Saving up enough money to buy her own small ship, and with the money she'll make from her last, and greatest performance yet, Celest will go back to the sea and embark on her journey to find her original home, and the man who destroyed her family.
Combat Info: Her unarmed combat is a fierce mix of kicks, punches, and dancing twirls all intricately woven together to perform a deadly yet beautiful combination of maneuvers.
Abilities: Heavy Heel Glory: A deadly maneuver taught by her father, Celest runs up a wall/tree and backflips off and lands heel first at her victim creating a crater everytime she lands. Can also be used for knocking back surrounding opponents.
Air Drill Pirouhet: A move that begins with grabbing her opponent with her leg and tossing them upward into the air. She hand springs up toward her oppenent and lands on their chest, immediately doing a hyper fast pirouhet that turns her and her victim into a drill that boars into the ground.
Capo Can Can Drive: Celest begins this attack by spinning like a top on one foot toward her oppenents landing a flury of back hand hits with every turn. On the third turn, she drops to her hands and kicks her opponents with every turn. The spinning kicks end with a hard side kick that sends her opponent flying.
Ballon: A skill gained during her dance practice, Celest can jump high and far with absolute grace and land on her feet with almost no sound. She comes down from the air almost like a feather wafting in the breeze.
Way of the Acrobat: Lift Off: When Celest is holding on to a bar or something and needs to reach an enemy that is above her, Celest uses her arm strength to send her flying straight up into the air, her incredible leg strength taking out whatever person or object that happens to be in the way. Taught to her by Jayce, an acrobat of the Moracca Traveling Circus.
Way of the Fire Spitter: Dragon Breath: A very powerful technique, Celest requires a large bottle of alcohol and lighter or a torch or any object that is already aflame. After emptying the contents of the bottle, Celest breathes into the flamable object, causing her breath to become a flamethrower. The only negative part of this maneuver is that Celest eventually feels the after effects of the liquor. Taught to her by Rojo Vilante, a temporary member of the Moracca Traveling Circus.
Personality/quirks/goals: She is a take charge person and can easily rouse others into doing what needs to be done, but she tends to spend more time practicing and dancing to really notice the things a captain needs to. She is serious when she needs to be but she's learned to lighten up and have fun every once in a while. One thing Celest cannot stand are bugs. She will cower in fear at anything that resembles a bug. She has a normal attitude towards everything else. Celest has a number of goals that she wishes to accomplish. Her first goal is to find her old ship and avenge her parents. Second is to sail the grand line and find the treasure One Piece and accomplish the dream of her father and her old family. She is bothered when people don't take her seriously and usually resorts to knocking some sense into those who take her lightly just because of her freckles. When she's not training, can be found at the head of the ship perched on the banister. She has a habit of picking/manipulating things with her feet so she is capable of handling 4 separate tasks at once. Her time as the top name on the Moracca Traveling Circus has given her a somewhat inflated ego. She will talk on end about how she's famous for this or that or how she is pretty much a celebrity known all throughout South and some parts of East Blue, though this tends to be more of a handicap than a boon in her new life as a pirate.

As a matter of fact, I've gotten really interested, although... I think I should use some time to plan my character all-out... wait? Is that a real word? O.o
But now, from thing to another.
I'll try to do it by sundy, but with bad luck it'll be over a week until I post. (confessional school. --*)
But well, now I'll stop this unnecessary talking and be gone. o/

Okay I decided to post my character whether u let him join or not
Name: Olleine Adrirene
Male
SlaveSoldier
Age: 20
Combat: Just stands there waiting for his opponents to attack. His hands are able to grab to any attacker with lightning speed, then never lets go of his grip. Bones will be broken as he grabs onto anybody with the strong clinching of his hands. Attack style is standing tall and straight like a statue while while delivering kicks and punches that are always on the defense.
Height- 6'4'', Weight- 140- Muscular build with a "V" shaped torso.
Appearance: Wears a marine uniform, sometimes with the cap on. His hair is colored gold with normal hair length and is combed in a neat military manner all the way from the front to the back. His expression is always blank and snappy, much more of a soldier than a pirate. When he rests he does not sit down but stands there doing nothing, watching at the sea. Appears very well dressed for a pirate.
Background: Olleine was the son of a General and a High Ranking Secretary working for the world goverment. He was trained with the same techniques the CP9 had. His father and his mother paid more than a hundred million berries for his training to develop to him the skills that were similar to the CP9. But Olleine was not a kid fitted to be a soldier of the World Goverment, he always failed many times in the training. He was only able to master 2 of the CP9's fighting arts; the shigan (bullet finger) and the tekkai (makes you hard as iron). Still his father insisted him to continue the training on and on, they paid another one hundred million berries for him to master the ryankaku (slashing technique) but Olleine was unable to master it, the slash made by the ryankaku was not a slash it would be a blow. Olleine by the way was already satisfied with these 3 skills that he had, but still his parents strived more to make him be a great soldier of the World Government. His parents loved him by the way they gave him good food, good house, good toys, good things, good girls and good military training, but because of their so much love for Olleine Olleine got spoiled and became selfish. One day when he and his parents were having a vacation on their ship they were raided by a pirate known as "Alleane the Terrible(see my post in RP if you wanna know who Alleane is)". Alleane the crew of his parents ship and stole all the goods they were carrying. His parents begged that Alleane would spare their lives. But Olleiene knew that Alleane was a terrbileunforgiving monster of the seas who delighted in bloodshed, so he tried to fight Alleane using the three arts that he knew. Olleine lost by the way, Alleane had too many soldiers and Olleine was outnumbered. Alleane loved the way Olleine fought, and he was surprised that the 10 year old boy was able to put on a show and kill more than a hundred of his troops. He told the Olleine that he would spare his life if Olleine joined him in his quest for bloodshed, Olleine becoz he did not want to die gladly joined Alleane's crew, but a sacrifice was made. In order to show his loyalty to Alleane he had to kill his parents. Olleiene with shaking hands killed his own parents in his hands. Then after he went to Alleane's ship and started raiding many ships. Olleines life became very sucessfull and great as he joined Alleanes crew. Alleane even let him eat a Devil Fruit known as the Oni Oni Fruit (Zoan Type Fruit that transform the person into a demon). Olleine had many nightmares everynight due to the great sins that he had done. One day when Alleane was raiding a marine ship Olleane saw two people both a man and a woman begging for their lives to the great Alleane, and their 8 year old helpless son tried to fight Alleane. Olleane remembered the times of what he had done to his parents the day he joined Allean, he defended the family. Alleane was furious and gave accusations that Olleiene was a mutineer. Olleine was then attacked by his own crewmates. Alleane emerged victorious and killed everybody on the ship including Olleine. But little did he knew that Olleine had survived. Olleine's heart was broken from the carnage that he saw when he woke up in a broken plank of ship debris. He vowed that he would kill Alleane one day and promote justice in the world. He tried to return to the marines but he already had a bounty on his head of 60 million berries. And that's where our story starts....
Combat Info: His unarmed combat is more likely in defense and grips of death by his hands. Using his tekkai he is like a tank who can stand to any attacks given to him.
Abilities: Tekkai
Shigan
Buromye - This is the lesser evolution of the ryankaku, it is unable to make a slice but is able to create an invisible long ranged blow.
Devil Fruit Oni Oni Fruit (Zoan Type): Transforms him into an invincible demon with claws as hard as steel and is able to bring fear and sometimes death to everything that comes in his wake.
Personality/quirks/goals: He is a person who has a very serious look always. He likes to be very well groomed everyday. He keeps a conversation sometimes, sometimes he smiles from jokes of others but never laughs (only a small smile). He's everyday chores are doing push-ups, punching the air to improve his Buromye skill, doing sit-ups, helping the captain in all commands the captain does. Normally what he does is obey the captains command without hesitation like cleaning the deck, washing the plates and stuff.
Eats very fast (in the military)
His goal is to kill Alleane and bring justice into the world(If it's possible, he's such a kid). Since the marines won't accept him coz of his bounty he joined a pirate crew instead.
He does not like conversing with many people, and most likely what he does is keep watch and minds everybody's privacy.

Hey if I can't be a SlaveSoldier can I be a Watchman?
Offline
I guess I should have mentioned this during the first post; I don't want the characters to have any connections to the grand line pre-play.
And lorenzo: Your character is way too powerful, re-think it in the lines of the power levels presented in the Buggy arc. Also, I as a game-master would never allow a starting character to even know about the existence of the CP9, much less know about their fighting styles. The characters are supposed to be fairly new to the game, and few even know how to GET to the grand line.
And what is a Slave soldier? And by watchman, I presume you mean look-out?
I want the characters to develop during play, learn new skills and abilities as they go along. If people want to play combat-monsters, please realize that by playing a super-hero, you ruin the fun for everyone. If I balance fights to suit the other players, then the monster would trounce stuff. And if I balance fights to suit the super-hero, then the other players won't be able to do anything. Having Son Goku among the straw-hats would pretty much ruin the fights in the show.
Basicly, if a character could defeat Zoro or Luffy at their power-levels in Arlong Park, then it's too powerful. And I demand that power-houses have weaknesses to compensate. If you don't submit any, then I will create them for you.
I won't make any final decisions on who gets to join before we have enough characters to fill the crew.

Heh I was wondering this would happen, and I've already got a character lined up.
Name: Nelison Collie
Gender: Male
Role: Gunner
Age: 23
Combat: Crazy gunmanship (and by crazy I don't mean crazy good, as I do mean wierd).
Appearance: He has long brown hair tied into a ponytail, and he wears a long brown coat, a blue shirt, and cowboy boots. He has two revolvers in hoslters at his hips, and a sniper rifle strapped to his back. He carries a cello with him (which he does play), and a pair glasses hang on his nose (and these glasses aren't for looking good either).
Background: Nelison grew up in Hamashira, but being an orphan, life was a little harsh on him, to the point where he had to use a gun to defend himself. It turned out that he was a good shot, real good, until at the age of 15 his eyesight went out. He thought that would be the end of his shooting, until a man he knew gave him the glasses he wears now. Those things are very important to him, both sentimentally and because he needs them to be useful. Seeing the possibilities that he held, he later joined Big John Short's crew, until it disbanded. Nelison figured that that was a good time to branch and find his own crew and see if he could make a stake for himself.
Note: As usual I'm leaving quite a few things out of the backstory I've put here, so if you want to know the rest of it Crimson, tell me so I can PM you.
Combat Info: Nelison is an almost perfect shot when he has his glasses on...not so much when he doesn't. In fact he'll be lucky to not hit an ally if he loses them. But even with his glasses on he can be a little bit wierd when fighting...you'll see what I mean later.
Personal Info: If there's one word to describe Nelison it's eccentric. That's all I'm going to say now. Other then he become a pirate because he wanted to see the world.

Okay I'm going to change my character, so here goes. He aint gonna be too powerful or too weak. And for other people who reads this post, kindly ignore the one i made before.
Name: Olleine Adrirene
Male
Watchman
Age: 20
Combat: Whenever fighting against somebody he always uses smoke grenades (Carbon Coroxide (iMADE THAT UP)) to cover himself, little does his enemies know that there is poison on the smoke grenades that he throws and that he is immune to the smokes poison (It's coz their bloodline has gotten used to the poison of Carbon Coroxide) Please take note that 4ml of Carbon Coroxide(that shudn't be too powerful enough) is able to kill or not paralyze a normal human being. Also while there is smoke created by the CarbonCoroxide the enemy can't see and then he uses his gasmask that he always hides in his cloak as means of vision to sneak into the enemy from behind and backstab them using a very poisonous dagger. He has many daggers hidden in his cloak and all of them are stained with poison. He just uses brute strength to battle with his enemies. And if he cannot beat them, he sometimes cheat and pulls of some tricky things like traps and cantrips to beat his enemy. He always run around while he battles. Little does his enemies know is that he is springing a trap for them.
Height- 5'11'', Weight- 130- Muscular build with a "V" shaped torso.
Appearance: Wears a red robe that has a hood, he would always be seen wearing the hood on his head and his gasmask on (I will explain it why later). His hair is black and is slightly long coz it runs down to his neck. He has a pair of leather gloves and leather boots that he uses to hide his sneaky weapons. His skin looks pale white and he looks more of a crazed ghost who had been frozen in Antartica for weeks. He bears a very wicked face because of his eyes that are very sharp and because of his big wicked grin that he always carry during conversations.
Background: Olleiene belonged to a famous clan from the Icy parts of the world (not in the grand line). Their clan was very famous because they exhaled different gasses than normal human beings. Instead of exhaling carbondioxide they exhaled carboncoroxide which is extremely poisonous to normal human beings. It is strange however that they are able to survive with this gas. One day a fearful pirate known as Alleane the Terrible (You can see it on my story on RP) went to raid their known clan. Alleane the Terrible was able to destroy their entire village, but because of the carboncoroxides effects Alleane was marvelled by the power of Olleines clan, Alleane lost hundreds of his troops in the battle against Olleienes clan, and so he recruited the clan as his slave troops. With their dangerous breath they are able to wreak havoc and terror in the seas. Olleiene was very young that time and most of Olleienes life he had spent were not in his village but in Alleane's ship. There was one time when Alleane raided a marine ship known as the "Forever" and lost countless troops in the battle. Olleine was only 15 that time and it was the first time that his skills in training with Alleane were to be proven. Olleine battled with the marines but he was badly wounded and was considered dead by Alleane. Alleane soon became victorious. He then went away with the goods he had stolen and left his dead soldiers in the sinking ship of the "Forever" including Olleiene. When Olleine woke up he found himself ashore on an island known as the.... (And That's where our story starts)
Combat Info: He uses trickiness and springs traps all the time to battle against his opponents. He keeps a handful of weapons on his robes including; strings to create traps, bombs, gasgrenades, poisonous daggers and a marine modeled rifle on his hands. (He also carries a backpack which is filled with many explosives and bottles filleds with poisons)
Abilities/Combat Styles: CarbonCoroxide Smoke: This is usually the first thing that he does in a battle, to make him invisible from the enemy and to poison them.
Daggers of Many Poison: It is said that two drops of the poison on this dagger is able to make an Elephant be paralyzed. Four=death. He has thirteen daggers all in all and each of them having different kinds of poison. He has the antidotes of the poison on his backpack.
Rifle: With this rifle he is able to snipe his enemies in the carboncoroxide smoke from a great distance.
Bombs: Should i really have to elaborate this
Flashbang: Yeah i suppose you all play CS
Personality/quirks/goals: He looks very freaky because he always wears a gasmask on. But there's more to him than meets the eye. Death results to anyone who sees his whole face. That's coz he would be taking out his gasmask and when he removes it and breathe people would die.
He eats by removing his mask of course, but his crew need not have t worry. Olleine is able to hold his breath for more than 20 minutes, which is the maximum time that he shows his face in full, after that he then puts his gasmask back to his face once again.
I did say there is more to him that meets the eye, that's coz he's a pervert. And everytime no one is looking (not that anybody would suspect coz of his gasmask/He's gasmask has goggles included by the way) he rolls his eyeballls to his side always and looks at women.
People who sees his face think of him as a real lunatic coz of his pale white skin.
His goal in life is to find Alleane and return to his service. He still does not know that Alleane is very evil and brutal, he does not like murder and bloodshed despite of his maniacal behavior.
He wears a demonic laugh whenever they talk.
He does not talk with his gasmask off.

You know, since this is going to be a crew of only 6 people, there's going to have to be alot of double rolling. I mean, having one character do one specific role is all well and good in one piece where eventually Luffy will have a crew of 10 and for other large pirate crew stories but in something like this, everyone is going to have to know basic skills in just about everything and major in one area. Take my character for example. She's designed to be specifically a first mate, but in her back story, her character's mother was a doctor and will have some form of medical knowledge if needed. I'm just saying that everyone who wants to make a character should add some flexibility to them.

Well my character was once a pirate too. He was trained by the nefarious Alleane, and it is expected that he knows many things as a crew in a ship already. Not that watchman is that bad I believe. But my character believes that watchman is the easiest job for him, since he is afraid of responsibilities held by other positions.

The main reason I want to restrict the crew to 6 members is so that the focus can shift among them and have an easy time creating an identity. Then, when the crew seems to work nicely, I might allow more players to join in. (Much like in the series)
I think having multiple roles is a good thing, as long as you have a speciality/knack that makes you valuable to the crew. If you have exceptional talents in combat, then you might not be that big an asset when it comes to ship-duties (Luffy & Zoro). And if you can almost bend the laws of physics with your ship-handlings skills, then you should not be quite as good at fighting (Nami). In the end, I reward and applaud fun and creative use of talents more than just utilizing high power. (By reward, I mean more focus/screentime)

So what's going to be your role in this Crimson? If your not going to make a character, you going to be like a DM in D&D that sort of hovers the story over our heads or something?

Offline
Way to not tell what you think of my character Crimson, or if you wanted me to PM the hidden backstory stuff to you.

Offline
So does that mean i'm in?

I won't make any final decisions on who gets to join before we have enough characters to fill the crew.

Um, thats alright, I don't think I'll be in that one for a while. But if you wanted to ask me that, you could have jjust asked in a pm.

Offline
I must say, WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT!?

Random: Impatient much?
*Thumb's up* Your character meets my parameters, and seems interesting as well as balanced, keep it coming storywise.
Okami: Yeah, I'm gonna be the storyteller, and play just about everyone else. Thus, I won't make a character that is "mine" per se.
As of now, the characters seems OK, but again, I won't make decisions based on the order of submits.
The main reason for this is I want good well-rounded thought-out characters, played by mature players. The more thought you invest in making the character, the greater are your chances on getting in.
I'll try to check in on this thread at least twice later today. I must admit that I have discovered Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, and sorta got hooked. If I am not here, blame Bethesda Software ![]()
Oh, by the way: I would appreciate suggestions on plot-hooks for character development (inspiriational/motivational issues, mental barriers you need to overcome to grow stronger etc). And notes on what you DON'T want to go through. (Romantic interests may not be everyone's cup of tea)

I have finished my character. Maybe I will add something later, if i think of something interesting.
And than a question for Crimson: the plot-hooks for character development, must we post them in our replies or pm them to you. This because I have something up my sleeve for my char, but I don't want to spoil anything for the others.

Then you PM

Crimson: Sorry for bringing this up again, but do you want me to PM you? I just want a yes or no. I mean I think you implied that you do, but I'm only going to recogize a direct answer, because I'm not really good at recogizing subtlety at the moment. I'm sorry I just want to know.
lorenzo: Yeah, I might post in your thing, but if I don't it's because I'm lazy and don't like writing.
