Arrows! Candor almost tore the page as he wrote down a proof on ballistics that would render the arrows useless. He finished it as he heard another arrow whistling towards him and the fallen marlin. Throwing up the paper towards the arrow he watched with satisfaction as it's course suddenly changed, ploughing it into the ground. There was time to celebrate the victory though, candor needed to get rid of that arrow in his partner and fast. Gripping the shaft, he put his foot on Marlin's belly and pulled, watching as it came free. If he'd been a doctor, Canor would never have done something so brash, but fortunatel for him there was an equation to disprove arrow wounds causing damage. It was relatively siimple too, but would take several minutes...
ooc: Umm... I highly doubt that you could prove that arrow wounds cause damage unless you can reverse entropy. Something that not even multivac could prove without, like, billions and billions of years of time. Wisdom, science, and math prove, justify, and create many things, but they cannot do the impossible like proving that arrow wounds, which fucking hurt, and tear through the muscles, the blood veins, and very cells themselves, don't cause damage, because they do. Science should never be abused in such a manner. Stop taking advantage of the wonderful opportunities and innovations math and science has granted the human race. I can't stand aside and watch math and science be used in an impossible task that is only being done in order to show off your character, because if you do, don't expect me to be quiet about it.
Edit: You want to respond? Let's take it to the recruits page. I don't want to see this RP being cluttered up with more nonsensical arguments.

occ: Im gona watch that debate (as I have some math knowlege)
IC: "So, the mariens are here." John said. "Yes, we are." one of them answered. "However, would you mind telling me why your here?"
"You first." John ordered, drawing his shell gun. The net pressing on his pack actualy made it far easier to draw it than normal. He had not loaded it yet though, but the marines didn't know that.
Dimitri, meanwhile had found Tsubaki and Annie on the trail. He gave Tsubaki some water. She seamed to be restored (or, even more energetic than normal)
"Come on!" she said. "Let's find John again....." and she felt faint again. "You've probly got heat stroke, that's what I would bet." Annie said. "Don't worry about John, I'll find him." Dimitri said.
When Dimitri found the net he imediatly took cover. Mariens? he thought, what the heck are they doing here? The next thing he heard though came from John.
"DEATH TO THE FIRST MAN!" John yelled, waving his gun around. Threatining the comander of the mariens hadn't worked so now he changed tactics. He had threatend to shot the first man who atempted to arrest him. Looking on though, he saw Dimitri. Dosn't his power work on plants? John then remembered something. He dug around in his pack for a special shell. where is it, I know there's gota be something in here that can... but his train of thought was interupted by a bullet. He had been shot in the uper arm. The marien comander started to reload his gun. "Didn't I tell you to relax?" he said. At that point, Dimitri made his move...

ooc: captain told me to tell you*john fuma* to not use dance powder in this because it is illegal and very rare not to mention hard to get in the op world and it would ruin wat he has in mind for misty's comeback. so just edit it out cuz ill just have dimitri kick everyones butt with his rapier. lol dimitri using hand to hand tactics.
four...five marines Dimitri thought as he unsheathed his rapier. He stepped out of the shadows and quickly launched forward, cutting down the first subordinate. Upon hearing the cry from their comrade, the other four turned to face Dimitri and caught a glimpse of him just as he cut down another man.
Now the men had drawn their weapons, but before they could fire or counterattack, Dimitri knocked another man out and then kicked the fourth private unconscious. The men's leader pulled his gun up, aimed, and fired. Dimitri fell back and the bullet grazed his arm. When he looked up Dimitri saw his opponent had fallen to the ground and John was now standing over him.
ooc: this is kiyoshi, im just using tsubakis comp

As Misty fell towards the dry island below, she weakly closed one hand. The little moisture in the air beneath her froze into a block of ice. The block temporarily stopped her fall, long enough for her to regain her senses. She looked up and spun around. The moist air above her began to condense. As Misty spun faster, a large raincloud formed. The cloud darkened and a single drop of rain fell. Soon another came. Then another. Before long, a slight drizzle had started. Misty managed a smile before she crashed heavily into the ground, the sharp shards of ice impaling her limp body.
John breathed heavy. The wound in his arm hurt, but it wouldn't kill him. Dimitri looked up at his nakama. "When did you..."
"When that marine shot me," John answered "he considerably damaged that net. I was able to cut myself down and knock this guy out." He then looked up as he started to bandage the wound. "Is it raining?"

"Miss Misty must be trying to enter the island." Dimitri replied as he searched the fallen marines. His hands rummeged through the packs and pockets until he found some bottled water. He uncaped after tearing off a section of the commanders shirt. He poared some water onto the cloth and tossed it to John, "Please use that to clean the wound."
As John did so, Dimitri tore off another section of clothing from the unconscious marine and then stood up to face his nakama. Dimitri waited until John was done cleaning the blood and dirt before tying the make-shift bandage around his arm. "Are you a doctor?" John asked as he watched Dimitri treat his wound. Dimitri shook his head, "I was once raised to become a marine. They had instructed me on how to do the many basics needed to survive."
"oh" John replied.
After Dimitri finished he looked around the forest to mark their position, then he heard a rustling. He looked down and saw John had begun searching the marines. "Do not waste your time, John. The marines would not possess anything useful to us on them."
"oh." John replied, "well what do we do now?"
Dimitri looked to the marine commander lying on the forest floor. "We need to ask them questions."
A drunken messy looking man that was on the island noticed a ship that was docked nearby. "Great!" he cheered with a half-empty beer bottle in one hand. "I'm already sick of this Niwa wawa place already. Nothing but same boring sceneries," he declared as he unbalancedly try making his way toward the ship. As he got closer, he tripped over a small rock. "My alcohol supply is fresh out too...," he said as he saw the rest of his beer spilled into the ground. He slowly tried to push himself up, but applied a little too much strength and ended up falling over to his back. He then pulled out his kendo stick that was attached to his waist and gently used it as a boost up.
He then stared at the rock that caused him to fall over. "Although you betrayed me like everyone else in the world, I will fill your life with true purpose!" he told it loudly. With one hand holding his kendo stick, he smacked the rock forward with the tip of the wooden stick and made it hit the ship pretty roughly, although not doing much damage. "Hey! Do you have room for one more person!" he yelled out to whoever might be present on the ship. "All I need is booze and a place to sleep!"

Misty pushed herself up onto her knees, frozen shards piercing her body all over. Crystal clear water dripped from her wounds as she attempted to stand. She weakly closed and opened one hand. The shards of ice that were stuck in her body flew outwards and embedded themselves into trees and the ground. Once the shards were gone, the wounds in Misty's body began to heal themselves quickly. In less than five minutes, her wounds were gone. The rain had gotten heavier while she had been unconscious. Quickly regaining her energy now that the air was moist, Misty looked around. Not seeing or hearing anything, Misty once again created the jet of water around her legs. She lowered her arms and shot upward. Her keen eyesight picked up a man by the ship. She flew towards it, looping vertically at the shore before landing on her feet. The trail of water splashed onto the newly dampened sand seconds later.
"Hello?" she asked to the ragged man.
"Hey. You got any room aboard the ship, cutie?" he asked with a drunken, goofy smile. "I'm a very useful employee, y'know?" he started as he started pacing around. "I can eat, sleep, drink, and sleep. What else is there for a man to do, right? I'm the whole package. And I'm not talking about those EMS or USPS delivery services in which you can get me from. I'm talking about the UPS, buddy. And lemme tell ya, I make a pretty goddam..., what are you guys again?"
She was about to answer, while trying to see where he was getting at, but he stopped her once he saw their pirate flag. "I see that you're pirates. Well, I make a perfect pirate. Hell, I've been a pirate for..., well let's forget about that part. Anyways, I'm not just saying I'm a good pirate, so I can freeload off of you guys for a couple of weeks, maybe even months, and then leave without a trace. Nope, not my style. Now where was I getting to? Oh yeah, my name's Corpus L. Kage. Nice to meet cha'," he said as he started walking toward the ship without even waiting for her answer. Then he started climbing on the ship before his request to get on was even accepted. His drunkeness just left him hard to understand with him speaking incoherently. And of course, there was the odor too, but let's not get into that.
"Where's the food and sake? I'm getting starving, so you guys better hurry it up over there. I'll be in my room if you need me..."
Last edited by Law (2006-07-26 18:59:34)
As Corpus started walking toward the rooms, his feet were suddenly encased in ice. He turned his body, and saw the girl he had just been talking to looking at him with dark eyes.
"Where do you think you're going?" she asked in a low voice. Corpus looked at her like she was crazy.
"Where the heck did this ice come from!?" he asked in a drunk tone. Misty said nothing. Instead, more ice gathered around his legs. Soon his lower half was encased in ice.
"Answer my question," Misty said. "Or be frozen solid."
Corpus smiled drunkenly. "My room."
"You don't have one. Now why would I accept you into my crew?" Misty asked.
"Cuz I'm a useful crewmemb'r," he replied.
"Whatever. If you want to join my crew, you must pass a test. Come with me." With that, Misty opened her hand and the ice shattered.
"A test? I've never been good at that. I'm one of those guys who are very capable, but absolutely show no signs of it. It's a gift, I say!" he said. Of course, such a pathetic excuse didn't budge, so he finally gave in and followed to wherever she was leading him.
"Is she planning to kill me or torture me? Well, luckily, I have a kendo stick just in case for incidents like these," he boasted with blind drunken confidence. Three or so minutes later, he realized that his weapon of choice was left along the shore when he tried to climb up the ship. He promised he would get to it later once he gets "boozed" up, but he never got around to it.
"Meh, I lived long enough," he murmured. "Have your way with me woman, but I make no guarantees that you will enjoy it at all!" he yelled out loud.

ooc : yo toenails are u gonna edit ur post or not cuz i cant do anything till u change it (as Tsubaki states)
Misty led Corpus to a small clearing in the dead forest. "Your test is about to begin."
"What's this test of yours?" he asked.
Misty chuckled. "My crew is lost on this island. I need to find them to tell them something important." Misty handed Corpus a blue object that looked like a bead. "When you find them , give them this. Tell them to have Dimitri grow this, as it will tell me their location."
Corpus took the glowing blue seed and began to walk off into the forest. Misty smiled and went back to the shore to wait, knowing that the Atlantian plant would certainly get the marines' attention...
The downpour began and Dimitri listened as it drummed away on the half-dead and dead leaves of the forest he and John sat under. The trees didnt save them from the water though, John stood over the marines while Dimitri waited squating under the water. They were awaiting the eyes of the marines to open.
Seiran, he thought. She had always loved the rain, he smiled as he recalled the time she had..."Dimitri"
His vision of dancing figures broke before his eyes at John's call, "He's up."
Dimitri looked down at the confused private who looked around wildly. His eyes widened when he realized his company had all been taken out and he was vertiually alone with two enemies. The young man backed into a tree as Dimitri stared cold and hard at him.
Dimitri stood up and then knelt down in front of the quivering man. "What are you doing here?" he asked, he changed his tone and attitude to be cold and unfeeling in order to scare the man.
"I-I'm just suppose to make sure everyone stays off the island." he sputtered through fear and water that drenched his face. The marine flinched as his wound pained him, "please," he begged stupidly thinking Dimitri had given his wound to him as toture, "I dont know anything about whats going on here, im just a patrol."
"The boy is just a grunt, you'd do better to ask me." came a curt voice. Dimitri turned from the boy to see the commander of the group had awoken. Dimitri moved to the man and meet his steely defiant gaze with a hard look of his own. curious... The interrigation mask, that's what Dimitri had always used on those he questioned and it had always worked but Dimitri knew with this man it would be different. For whatever reason these men had been sent here, Dimitri knew for sure it was serious.
"Where is your base?" he asked his captive but the other man didn't answer him. Dimitri sighed inwardly, concentrate he told himself, find it...
"Is it on the coast?" still silence from the man.
"The river I saw earlier, is it along its waters?"
"Is it anywhere near the middle of the island?" the man turned his head down, close Dimitri thought as he pulled the marine's eyes back up from the ground.
"The volcano?" There! he saw it, that flicker of comfirmation, it was quick and short but Dimitri was sure he saw it. Dimitri knocked the two men out once more, which was followed by a cry of protest from John who had been politely waiting for his turn.
Dimitri cut off whatever his new friend was about to say with a bid for attention to his words. "John, pay attention. I am now sure the marine base is near the volcano in the middle of the island. I do not know why they are here but I wish to know."
John nodded not quite sure what to make of Dimitri's facination with the enemies actions. "Alright let's go." he agreed none the less but Dimitri shook his head at this. "No, my friend. I wish to see the base alone for now. I will go ahead to spy on the base. While I do this, please go find the others." Without waiting for a comfirmation, Dimitri walked off to the see the marines. Grim because he expected to see a certain old friend that he had rather not meet again.
Annie and Tsubaki had finally made it back to the ship, and Annie had already brought Tsubaki to her bed and given her water. She sat on the side of her bed, feeling Tsubaki's forehead with her hand. "Awe. You're warm! You just rest for a little while, and drink this water, and we'll go back to find the others as soon as you feel better. Okies?" Before Tsubaki could answer though, Annie clapped her hands together and grinned happily, as if she had replied, 'yes.' "Okies!" She gave her 'partner in crime' a quick hug, then slowly walked backwards out of the room, saying. "Now rest up. And drink that water! But don't drink the water the whole time, you need the rest.. But you're thirsty, so drink the water! But, if you don't rest, you might not feel better.. Buuut." She tapped her chin, trying to get this straight. "Drink some water, rest some, then drink more water!.. Or, uh, something like that, okies?" And with that she stepped out of the room.
'Ah, rain.' Annie thought as she stepped outside onto the deck of the ship. "How lovely!" She said to herself as she twirled around in it. She then spotted something on the shore. Tilting her head and moving closer to see, she saw it was... A stick? "Hum.." She got back off the ship and went towards it, eyeing it suspiciously, as if it were to jump up at her at any moment. Her imagination getting the best of her, she grabbed a handful of sand.
"Take... THAT!" she yelped as she tossed the sand at the stick. When nothing happened, she kneeled down and picked it up. It was Corpus L. Kage's kendo stick that he had left behind.. Though, Annie didn't know of this. "Awe, you poor thing, being left out in the rain. Don't worry, I'll bring you onto the ship and you could keep Tsubaki company. You two will be such good friends! I only hope she'll feel better soon.. Very soon! We should go check on her now, shouldn't we, Mr. Sticky?!" Yes, she was enjoying talking to this object that could not talk back. She was.. Unique like that. Ever hear of a pet rock? Well, for the time being, since Corpus L. Kage was not around at the moment, "Mr. Sticky" was her pet kendo stick. She held onto the kendo stick and made her way back to the ship to go check on Tsubaki.
John stood in the rain, watching the prisoners. "Real pirates eh?" one of the privates said. John simply ignored the man, and began cleaning his weapons. His cutlas wasnt dirty, but his gun had been waved in the rain, he had to dry it. He was interupted by a strange cry. "HEY, where is this dimitri guy!?" John looked up and tried to determine where the shout came from. "I'm suposed to give him something."
John looked up the trail for the man. He saw Kage, a very drunkan pirate. Yelling and holding a seed in his hand. At this moment, the comander of the marines saw a chance. He had been working on his restraints ever sence Dimitri left. He freed himself and picked up a cutlas on the ground. John saw this but so did Kage. He picked up a nearby stick. not quite my stick, but it'l do he thought. As John was about to engage the marine Kage steped in. "Is this *hic* part of the test? It's not a very hard part." the drunkan pirate observed aloud as he fought the seargent. Even though he was armed with noting more than a dry stick (now wet because of the rain.) He had the marine disarmed and tied back up in less than a minute. "Ah, fellow pirate! he said to John. "Where's Dimitri? Some weird
water girl told me to give him this." and he held up the seed. John had never seen that before, but he figured this man was probly sent by Misty. "Dimitri said he was going to scout out the marine base in the middle of this island. He'll probly be back soon, so if you wait here I'm sure he'll..."
"Oh, he went to the volcano!" Kage said as he ran off. "Hey, wait!" John called as he chased after the drunk.
"So," the seargent said "now what?"

Tsubaki looked at Annie, bewildered at the new "friend" she was given.
"Come one, Tsubaki! Let's go on an adventure!" Tsubaki was quickly put out of her stupor and leapt out of the bed.
"Yeah! Let's go find Johny-boy!"
So with their newfound friend, "Stick," the two went off arm in arm back into the forest looking for "Johny-boy."
John ran to catch up to the drunk. He was lost now, not exactly sure where the marines were. "Dimitri!" he called out again. Now John had caught up with him and before he could say more John got him in a head lock. "Listen," John told the stranger, "I don't know who you are, or why Misty sent you, but this whole island is crawling with marines. Do you think it's a good idea to run around, shouting someone's name, in an island full of marines that may know him?" John looked around, not relasing the man yet. Although he was strong, and drunk, he was in a head lock and even for drunks those are hard to escape. "Now," John wondered aloud, "where the hell are we?"

ic: Marlin awoke to the sound of feet thudding on the ground. His eyes opened slowly as if they had been stuck with glue and he was pulling it off with his eyelids. He was looking down at the something black and he was felt like he was moving. Grunting at the pain in his shoulder he could feel that the arrow had been taken out, had been smeared in some sort of cream and then bandaged. He didn't know why his attackers would have healed him but he knew that he would have to tell his nakama that the island was inhabited by a tribe that would attack them.
He cursed at himself for him not being aware that people were around him, not paying proper attention to his surroundings and for being just plain lazy.
He turned himself around to see how he was being carried and noticed he was on what looked like a cage. In front and behind were 4 very young men holding up the hammock. Marlin tried to sit up but his hands and feet were binded together so he couldnt move. To his right was Candor and to Candor's right was 3 people with either a bow and arrow or a sword. It was the same to Marlin's left. There was also 1 man in the front and 3 behind. There was no sound coming from them save for the sound of there feet and that was also pretty quiet. They were all dressed in small clothes covering the main parts of the bodies but all looked very skinny.
"The fat one has awoken." said one of the people from behind holding the cage. He looked tall with long hair like a woman. In truth he looked exactly like a woman but the only thing to differentiate him from a woman was that he had a very deep voice.
"Then knock him unconsious Ingtar!" came the voice of authority from in front. Marlin didn't know what happened but the next thing he realised was that he was asleep.
The next time that Marlin awoke he was out of the cage but his arms and legs were still tied. He sat up and saw Candor there too. Their shirts and pants were off with it all of Marlin's tricks were gone and Candor didn't have anything to write with nor anywhere to write anything to open the cage.
The sumo had awoken to the rain that had started to fall. It seemed that Candor was also trying to wake him up by hitting him but the mans flimsy arms were not much a threat to wake Marlin from his heavy sleep.
Marlin sat up and saw that they were surrounded on all sides by hungry looking men licking their lips and holding bones in their hands...
"Za fat manz up!" said an old looking fellow with a raspy voice who probably hadn't shaved in months or maybe years. "Nowz can wez eatz? I've haventz eatenz humanz in za while." A chant broke out around them, words uncomprehendable to Marlin and Candor and all they could do was cringe in fear of the cannibals that surrounded them and were about to devour them.
All of a sudden everyone was screaming and yelling and running from the two spreading out every which way except towards the place where they could hear gunshots. As the crowd dispersed and Marlin and Candor could finally see what was going on they saw a group of 15 marines 9 of them shooting with guns 3 wielding swords and another 3 behind them that seemed to be waiting for what would happen but each holding a knife! What's more was that they were shooting at the cannibals but then came some of the warriors of the tribe of cannibals. The problem was that they all came at diffrent times so they could not help one another shoot down a man and they were the only target for the marines to shoot at for a moment instead of having many targets that were attacking them and had to be attacked. As they ran away so did most of the marines following them to attack and kill the remaining few.
The remaining 3 marines with swords that did not run away surrounded Marlin and Candor though Marlin had diffrent plans then being captured. Candor was useless without anything to write with so he was captured easily. Marlin stood up and dodged the first marines sword trying to move his hands forward so the man would accidently cut the ropes that suppresed him from attacking though it didnt work the first time nor the second time and not even the third time but then Marlin got an idea.
He turned around to the man that held Candor and jumped on him making sure that he missed Candor completly. Once Candor was free Marlin told him to run to look for his notebook and pen to write with. In that time he took the sword out of the sheath ( is that how u spell it?) and used it to cut open the rope that held his arms and legs though he wasnt given much time to do it with the marines attacking him.
ooc: sry i gotta go so ill do alot more l8er. please dont have anyone save us because i have something i want to do with my character at the moment

Marines! What could he do? They were te ultimate authority on the waters! Notebook and pen, it wasn't that simple. For one he didn't think these were the type of men who kept something like that handy. The only option he had left was the ground itself. It was relatively soft soil, and the rain ad made it sticky. The only problem was the roaring melee taking place, with feet stamping everywhere. He had to be quick about this. Any proof would do as long as someone looked at it...
Attempting to use his body to shield the precious shapes and swirls from the rain and stampeding feet, Candor attempted his write out, but it was all going wrong, with water dripping from his sodden robes and disrupting the equation, and his hands being constantly trodden on.
'No no no NO! this is all WRONG! Marlin, help me! I'm sure i can do if people would STOP TREADING ON ME!'
This was stupid. Candor was a mathematician, not a criminal. He should be in a bar working on some eliptic curves, not knee deep in mud with a boot on his face!
'Marlin! Help Meee-!' The sentence was ended as one foot was deliberately driven into Candor's back, knocking him out and smearing out what was left of the equation.
OOC EDIT: Deleted the previous post and it seemed silly to add yet another ooc post... so... yeah. *cough*

occ: time for me to fight...
ic: As John pondered where they were, he heard the sound again. The rain was getting heavier, there was lightning begining, but he was sure of it. The same sound before he steped on the marines trap. This time there was no net to distract the real threat though. "HIT THE DECK!" he yelled and pushed Kage down and hit the mud himself. Two arrows intersected over the space they had just left. "Stuck in a trap twice in one day," John complained, "must be bad luck." He looked behind him at the drunk. He was just starting to get his barrings. "Your on a test you said?" John told him as he drew his cutlass. "Go into the island, I'll cover you." he said again as he drew his shell gun. The drunk looked at him, and ran to the interior. An arrow went flying at him but John cut it out of the air. "And why don't you canibals come out of hiding?" he said as he loaded his gun and put his polarized goggles over his eyes. The storm was raging now. John figured it had to do with the rapid tempature change. He knew from his home, watching the wheater, that whenever there was a hot spell followed by rain, there would be a storm, almost always. The trees in front of him moved, and out steped a man (or at least he looked like a man, sort of...) He held a bow in his right hand, and a bundle of arrows in his left hand. an archer? John thought. John had loaded his gun with a standard slug round. He fired it at the archer. He jumped off the trail, straight up and landed onto a tree branch. He raised his cutlass as a chalenge. The archer yelled something at a tree to his left. "What did you say to your partner?" John asked the canibal. "I told him, to leave this to me." he replied. John loaded his gun again Can't trust him, so to make sure he finished loading his gun. "Special Shell!" John called out, "Flash Bomb" and he fired the bullet. The canibal got ready to dodge but the bullet exploded in mid-air. The canibal grabed his eyes, as the shell let off a very bright flash when it exploded. "It's full of magnesium!" John told him. "You shouldn't be able to see for a few more hours." he began to load his gun again. "How..." the canibal wondered, "how come you aren't blind?!!" "It's these goggles" he replied as he aimed his weapon. The goggles were polarized and went dark whenever there was a bright flash. They were starting to lighten again. The rain made it a bit hard to see anyway, but John had experience with shoting in rain before. He aimed center mass, right out of the book. The canibal spoke up though "I don't need my eyes to see." and ran. John looked around, but he couldn't see him. "I've got to go home foriginer," he heard form the forest. "Something tells me the fat one is awake again..."
the fat one....MARLIN and he set off after the canibal. Arrows flew at him, and he stoped. "Oh, if you run, I can hear you!" the canibal told him. dose this moron think I only know how to make noise... he looked up again. Must be very bad luck

John sneaked after the canibal. Every once in a while he would look over his sholder. John would simply stop, then they would both move on again. Finaly, he reached his camp. It's been almost three hours, he should be able too see by now...
"My home..." he heard the man say. John ran foreward, weapons ready, and charged out of the forest to the man's right. He stoped when he saw the distruction of the canibal camp. "What hapened?" John asked. The canibal just looked at him. "The fat one and the tall one couldn't have done all this forigner." he looked twords the center of the island and continued, "It must have been marines..." John thought about this. If they took out this camp, they probly arested Candor and Marlin. Whatever the marines are doing, this guy knows... John was about to ask the man when he told him. "Three months ago the maines came here, and set up some kind of base in the mountain of fire. Soon after, the plants started to die, our food started to run out." he then looked at John. "Yes, we ate other men to stave off starvation. Is that bad, forginer?" John didn't answer. The canibal continued "You will find a marine base at the center of this island, go, I must do what I can for my people."
John looked at the bodies, "What can be done?" he asked. "My tribe has burial rights, and I can do that." the canibal answed as he moved into the camp. "If you want to catch the marines and you nakama, you should hurry."
John didn't know how to thank the man, but he diecided in his heart, to not forgive anyone who would turn paridse into hell. Now that he knew who, he loaded his gun again, and charged toward the center of the island. Towards the "mountain of fire"..
Dimitri walked through the forest slowly and quietly as he neared the base of the volcano. He flexed his dominate hand, my powers are returning he thought, smiling at the revolation. He knew the control would still be weak until there was more moisture in the ground, still it was better than nothing.
After a few more minutes of walking, the first mate neared the base of the land structure. Dimitri saw there were several tents set up in front of a cave which lead into the volcano. Men in familiar marine uniforms walked back and forth going about their business. They were not what caught Dimitri's attention however, the main focus was the man in a captain's uniform standing in the middle of the camp giving orders.
The man stood proud and strong even under the pouring rain, just as Dimitri remembered him.
About half an hour later the camp's peace was broken before Dimitri's eyes as a drunken man stumbled out of the forest a few yards away from Dimitri.
"Where's Dimitri?! I have to give him somthin." the man cried, waving something in the air as the marine's surrounded him. Even with the marines pointing guns at him and shouting questions through the rain, the strange man continued to ask rather loudly where Dimitri was.
The object of his search simply looked on, wondering exactly who the man was and why he wanted to find him so badly. When Dimitri sneaked closer he saw the man had a blue seed in his hand.
Dimitri looked closely, trying to figure out what kind of seed the drunk held without getting caught but to no aveil. To the pirate's surprise the drunk man suddenly rounded on him and shouted, "Are you Dimitri?"
Half of the marines turned to point their weapons towards their new target. The captian strolled forward, "Come out." he ordered with all the authority of a king.
Dimitri sighed and stood up. With his hands held up, he walked forward and greeted his old friend. "Hello Mason."
Mason's eyes widened slightly as recognition dawned on him. "Dimitri!" the other man walked up to his childhood friend while signalling his men to focus on the stranger once more.
The two reunited men smiled at one another. "What are you doing here, Dimitri?" the captain asked, dropping his regal demeanor.
"HEY, I have to give him somthing!" The drunken man announced once more. Ignoring the guns, he stumbled forward akwardly and pressed the blue seed he had been waving before into Dimitri's hand. "The water lady said to grow this...and um...ya...she said to grow that." the strange man explained. Water lady? miss Misty?
"So..." the stranger continued, "I'm part of the crew now right? I'm a pirate again right, cuz..."
The drunken man continued to banter even as the marines around them snapped up once more, Mason was always well trained Dimitri observed.
"Dimitri. What do you do now?" Mason asked, once more adopting his royal tone.
"I am a pirate." Dimitri answered flatly. The two friends stared at each other for a while, then Dimitri threw Misty's gift into the ground and as instructed "grew" it. To everyone's surprise a giant blue crystal grew out of the ground and reached for the grey sky abov them. It could have be seen from anywhere on the island.
While everyone's attention was focused on the phonomenom, Dimitri seized the opertunity and ordered the trees behind him to attack the marine's. Mud flew and vision's were blurred further as the branchs grew and began to devour the men. Mason jumped backwards, dodging and cutting the attackers until he was safely out of the small battle area.
When the trees' arms parted, the muddy ground was littered with uniformed men lying on the ground unconscious and the strange drunk was standing in the same spot with a confused look on his face, while Dimitri was walking foward. When he was not more than a yard away from the marine captain, Dimitri addressed the stranger without turning. "Please wait here for the others."
The stranger didn't answer but one of the marines did wake up and then, under his captain's instructions he ran off to summon the other marines.
"As expected, your subordinates are strong, my friend." Dimitri said as his pets grew from his palms and wrapped themselves around his arms.
"Of course, Dimitri. And I would expect your fellow pirates are also strong." Mason returned, preparing his cutlass.
The blindfolds on Marlin and Candor were taken off as soon as they had been thrown into a cell though their hands and feet were still tied together to prevent them from running away. The tiny area was surrounded by hot rocks with a single door in which Marlin had barely been able to get in and a small window with bars to keep them from escaping. The window showed most of the island. If they squinted they could see their ship but the rain made it very hard.
A while later they heard shouts coming from the bottom of whatever place they were kept in. They could see some people but they were too high to know who it was. They couldn't hear the whole conversation either but they heard parts of it such as the words: Dimitri, water lady and pirate. It could mean many things but they thought it for one: that Dimitri and Misty had been captured and that the marines knew that they were pirates. They knew it couldn't be true but thinking that since they had been caught everyone would be too.
Then a few minutes later they could see a giant blue crystal growing out of the ground until it grew higher than where they were when they thought that anyone on the island would be able to see it. It would bring whoever was down there either help from his or her nakama or his enemies.
