I think this one might have some promise give it a chance!  I can't wait to see it translated.

P.S.: The Bounto Filler arc does NOT suck.  It's awesome!

i never liked rave.....but i won't say this is any sort of copy cat title until we know the plot line. all animation and comcs looks the same and copy each other. so whatever. what's the plot?

Maybe the fillers do suck, but that's the animes fault, the manga Bleach seems to be continuing the storyline (although after Bankai where could they really go.. they're already gods -.-;;

edit: Also since we're on the topic of Bleach, anyone else ever notice how Bleach is like Final Fantasy 7 in Shaman King clothing? There's a Zach-like character.. there's a buster sword.. not to say it's a copy, but I thought it seemed obvious.

haha maybe, but u cant compare them..... Well ofc an i prefer one piece but Bleach is ok too... I like the fightin, the whole Bankai/hollow thing and of course there are sexy chicks.... 'nuff said

Let's see...I don't fully understand what's going on.  But from what I gather, Fairy Tail is a guild of powered up people who go and take missions in exchange for money.  At least that's the plot so far. 

Just about every manga sets things in a stable environment just so that you get the rhythm of things before the real good shit hits you.

Since I've managed to find a good translation of this, I can probably give a summary. 

In the great Magic Council, two members, are quite bored...Ultia + Sieglein.  However they've managed to be in the council due to their incredible powers.  The elder tries to bring things in order, and the one thing that's on their mind is...the Guild of Fairy Tail.

In the town of Harujion, a young boy named Natsu, and his cat, Happy arrive by train (but poor Natsu gets carsick easily) they're looking for someone named Salamander.

Meanwhile, a girl named Lucy who happens to be a mage is looking for magic artifacts.  She ends up in a stoor and decides to buy the key to the "White Doggy".  It's priced at 20,000 jewels so she tries to go for the sex appeal...and gets a 1,000 gewel discount.  Lucy then notices a bunch of girls flocking over to a mage named Salamander.  Salamander as it turns out is a fire mage who's quite a hit with the ladies.  Lucy starts to fal in love as well...

Natsu and happy find Salamander too...they were actually hoping that it was Igneel they meant, but apparantly this isn't the salamander they were looking for.  Natsu leaves and the girls try to beat him up but Salamander stops them and offers Natsu his autograph.  Lucy comes and thanks Natsu for earlier, and says that Salamander's quite a disgusting guy.

While Natsu starts eating a la Luffy, Lucy explains that Salamander was using a charm spell to attract the girls and when Natsu and Happy jumped in, the spell wore off on her.  She also tells them she's a mage, but she needs to join a guild in order to become recognized.  Natsu explains that he was looking for someone named Igneel, hoping that that salamander would be in this town...but the salamander didn't look like a salamander at all...Lucy gets a bit confused an Natsu tells her that Igneel is actually a dragon.  After the meal the two part ways (Natsu tries to give Lucy Salamander's autograph but she refuses)

Lucy starts to read a magazine called Sorcerer.  She reads about how the Mage Guild, Fairy Tail destroyed the Devon Thief family but also demolished 7 other houses.  She finds it hilarious and wonders how she can get into Fairy Tail.  Just then, Salamander pops in from the bushes and asks her out to a party.  Lucy says his Charm spell won't work since she understands it now.  Lucy tries to leave, but Salamander tells her that he is the Salamander of Fairy Tail.  He offers to let her in Fairy Tail if she'd just join his party.

Night dawns and Natsu is feeling good after a fine meal.  Happy tells Natsu that Salamander's holding a party at his ship...then they overhear some girls chatting about Salamander, saying that he's from the famous Fairy Tail guild.  This grabs Natsu's attention...

Lucy finds herself in her own private cabin with Salamander.  And Salamander offers her some wine.  He casts a spell to make the bubbles rise and lets a few float to her mouth.  However Lucy slaps the bubbles away, knowing that there's a sleeping drug mixed in the drink.  Salamander tells her that if she had just slept peacefully she wouldn't have to get hurt and on cue some thugs pop out from behind the curtain and grab her.  That's when Salamander tells her she's on a slave ship headed to Bosco...and she of course is the merchendise. 

Lucy tries to grab her keyring and Salamander swipes them from her...the keys are used to summon spirits, which is useless to Salamander..so he chucks the keys out the window.  Salamander takes out a brand and is about to mark her as a slave when Natsu pops in.  Happy also flies in (he gets wings) and takes Lucy away with her...Salamander tries to shoot his fire at her while the slave traders fire cannons.  To make things worse, Happy's transformation spell wears off and they both plummet into the water.

Fortunately Lucy manages to find her keys, and uses this grant chance to summon a mermaid, Aquarius.  Aquarius is quite a bitch and warns Lucy that if she loses her keys again, she'll kill her.  Aquarius uses her vase and launches a torrent of water at the slave ship, Lucy and Happy, sending them all back to port.  Aquarius then tells Lucy that she'll be going on a trip for a week with her boyfriend...and not to call her again during that time.  Lucy decides to go back and check on Natsu.

Lucy arrices and sees Natsu about to face Salamander.  She decides to rescue him but Happy intervenes saying that Natsu's a mage too.  Natsu demands to know if Salamander's really a mage of Fairy Tail.  Salamander says he is...and after taking a good look, Natsu says that as a member of Fairy Tail, he's never seen Salamander before...and we see the Fairy Tail mark on Natsu's shoulder.  One of the slave traders warns Bora (for that is Salamander's real name) that this kid is for real...Happy and Lucy both heard about Bora, a man banished from the Mage Guild, Titan Nose for several acts of theft.

Natsu says that he won't forgive Bora for using the name of Fairy Tail...Bora responds by shooting fire at the boy...but Natsu has apparently eaten the flames.  Everyone's shocked and Happy tells Lucy that fire magic won't work on Natsu.  Now that Natsu's eaten the flames, he powers up...One of the slave traders recognizes Natsu...the rosy hair, the scarf with the scales pattern...he's the REAL Salamander of Fairy Tail.  With that...Natsu blows everyone away with a mighty flame breath.  In addition, Natsu now has a fire charged punch, which he uses on Bora.  Happy tells Lucy that Natsu's using a spell to convert his body to have a dragon's constitution...Oddly enough, it was the dragon, Igneel who taught this ability to Natsu.  Natsu finishes off Bora with DRAGON SLAYER...which is quite overkill considering the port is messed up.

The Military starts to arrive on the scene and Natsu grabs Lucy and runs.  Lucy asks him what the hell he's doing, and Natsu tells her that he's gonna take her to Fairy Tail so she can join.

Back at the magic council, one of the elders slaps down a newspaper and announces that Fairy Tail destroyed half the port.  Most of the council disapproves, but Sieglein says to just let them be.  It they didn't have idiots like that, the world wouldn't be fun.

Natsu and Happy bring Lucy to the front of the Mage Guild, Fairy Tail, and the three of them enter.
